    John Garey is a renowned pilates instructor and fitness expert! John Garey got his start in the fitness industry in the mid-’80s-he hasn’t stopped since. First, a Master’s Degree in Physical Education from NYU, then teaching and presenting at fitness conferences around the world. He found Pilates in the early 90s, got certified and had a successful Pilates studio in Long Beach, Ca for 18 years. He started John Garey TV in 2016 to provide Pilates and fitness classes to instructors and enthusiasts around the world.
    John Garey is traditionally trained in Pilates. Yet, he’s developed his own style over time-and that style has moved and shaped Pilates at large. He brings athleticism and fun into his approach. People keep coming back for more because they love it and it brings them joy (not to mention the positive impacts on your body and mind).
    Pilates has a bunch of styles: classical, dancey, and therapeutic, to name a few. John’s style is athletic and fun. His style evolved based on his experience and knowledge in traditional fitness, such as strength training, mobility training, and balance. Combined with his mastery of the traditional pilates repertoire, his workout programs are unique and effective. That’s why he’s a Pilates powerhouse.
