As the owner of several Honda's, my last being a '79 CB-X, and having one of the first '81 CB900Fs in Canada, I WANT ONE! That was the best bike I've ever owned and ridden and the idea of producing this bike warms my tired old heart! My last bike was an '03 ZRX1200 that I warmed over and I bought it for the retro styling, the tractable power, and the fact that at 6'2" and 44 yrs old at the time, I could take it for a long ride without having to go to a chiropractor afterwards. PLEASE HONDA, BUILD IT AND I'LL BUY ONE!!!
Honda, if you're reading this.. PLEASE SELL THIS BIKE! The world needs more retro UJM muscle and this has got it. Also, a square LED up front with little squared fairing would really make this a legit retro-legend!
It's a de-tuned 998cc engine and will have around 140bhp maximum. But it's unlikely that it will ever be released. It was just a bit of eye candy to show what can be done. Remember the Suzuki B-King concept? It was going to have 250bhp turbo charged engine but instead came out with around 180bhp. However, it still took Suzuki about 7 years to release it from concept to showrooms so don't hold your breath.
I'll believe it when I see it. Honda teases us with these concept bikes every couple of years and rarely come through. Their last CB attempt was the CB1100, which was underpowered and weak in the looks department. However, if they do come out with this, I'll be in line to buy one. A brand-new CB-F with modern technology, a powerful engine, and the original good looks of an F would be well received. I presently own two 1983 CB1100F's. I love them, and would welcome a new F to the stable.
I could honestly see getting one of these. First mod would be to remove that goofy DOT fender/license plate holder abomination they add on for the U.S., second will be to swap the frankenstein muffler system, and third to remap the FI. Yep. She'll be all I could ask for at that point. Oh ya- bring the silver model. Super sweet.
Agreed. Would buy this in a heartbeat. Kawi's z900rs cafe is a stunner but me want more 80s boxiness and boy does this CBF rear end satisfy.. If only they did a square LED up front (to match the back) with a little square fairing like the ZRXs and I'd be in heaven..

Thats bullshit the engine will probably be a modified 2007 cbr engine just like in the curent cb1000r and the one before since its a “stroker” and the new cbr1000rr-r engine would be useless in this application since there is actually no power under 5k rpm

Its not cbr1000rr motor, its the cb1000r one. However I like your video.
It is the 06-07 cbr1000 motor detuned.

215 hp in the concept, but in the final model will be 150 maximun I guess.
@Isra GS - am thinking can bump it up a bit more with an aftermarket exhaust and a remapped tune. It'll be plenty fast even stock.

it's not the old 2006 CBR engine. it will be around 200hp.
this is the same engine from cb1000r 145hp if it had the 195hp cbr engine it would cost al least 20000 usd
