Thanks for reading my story man, you did fantastic and I'm glad you felt it was worth the effort to make.
My pleasure! Thank you for allowing me to - I really enjoyed this one!
@@LighthouseHorror I Just started watching your channel and i love it
@@unicornwithagun2562 I appreciate it!
Hey man that was good
Keep writing! Because you have something very good here.
Have you ever read or heard a story that not only tells the story, but weaves a tale. Using words to paint a picture, creating an almost melodic snare that captures your imagination...slowly, the narrator uses the author's carefully balanced words to capture the audience's attention and instill fear. This is one of those rare gems. Well done.
Thank you for the kindness Monica!
My power went out for three seconds while listening. Had a mini heart attack. That's how I know your a good narrator.
My brain during daytime when listening to these stories: "oh what a great story. It's just fiction!"
My brain just about to fall asleep: "or is it... 👀"
ikr xD but honestly... I will not sleep whatsoever, and I have several horses >>;
Lighthouse is Hitting that 80K after 100K these channels seem to really start climbing in numbers quickly, must the the algorithm that everyone speaks about. I hear the checks get really Big after 300K. Like really really Big
I'm not one for such commentary. But I must ask, why you took the effort (and yes I see the irony) to try shade this man's obvious greatness.
He puts in the works bruuu! He will REACH.
The creature makes me think of the Leshy, which is a demon-god tree spirit thing that protects forests and the creatures in them. Sounds like the guy who went after the hikers pissed it off
Some small town sheriffs never tell the story about the time they saw me
You bigfoots have scary lawyers, nobody wants you going into litigate mode.
Although I've heard of your visits to some Utah canyons!😂💜
Lol
I thought it was my brother
Love, love, love this reader's voice. He makes these stories truly come alive for me.
part 141 of thanking the lighthouse horror for his constant uploads
This is quickly becoming my favorite pasta paradise...
Same here. This channels sub count is criminal.
Absolutely
He's deff in my top 3 :)
@@normal_human_female there are a handful of narrators i listen to regularly but lighthouse has a way of telling the stories that makes them come to life in a way most other narrators can't imo
It's some spooky spaghetti
Wow LH this was so good man. I love the ambiguity of the creature and the blood lust that drove it. Definitely one of the more grisly ones and they are my favorite. Thank you so much for finding yet another awesome story that was very well written . Of course your narration was amazing as always but never taken for granted. Well done both author and yourself, I'm off to listen through again .
Author here! Thanks for feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed it and I hope to write more and better stories soon.
You and Dr. Creepen always on point.
My favorite guy, never lets me down. Thanks Lighthouse. Sometimes, you're a real lifesaver.
man i live everyday waiting for your stories xd
I wasnt expecting that at the end lol! Loved the story, and great narration of it!
Oooo! I'm going to listen to this while I shower! Thank you, Lighthouse Horror!
Just did the same thing
Listening to it while it is raining really sets the mood as well.
@Lighthouse Horror you *REALLY* get into your narrations. It makes the story that much better.
I'm listening to a playlist of creepypastas while at work and the story I listened to right before this one was Mr. Creeps' reading of this very story. Quite the amusing coincidence.
... “Theres one story I never tell...”

@@TENZEN._. you guys know each other?
@@rishabhyadav3137 just from here.
Well my friend, now you've gone and done it. I was already jaded to an extent with the stories and narrators I'd listen to. Your attention to detail(inflection of voice, cadence when speaking, music, background images to name a few), but the effort you obviously out in on a daily has only have it harder to let certain things slide. I thank you for your effort. Although it's made it harder to settle with stories, you've made me and so many others spoiled. Thanks again
Hey thank you for all the encouragement Derek! I hope you're doing well!
@@LighthouseHorror just to be safe. I reread my comment. I meant your excellent work has made q few others stories lacking. Not yours. Just wanted to make sure i made that clear. Didn't want you to think for a second i was talking about you. Sorry if I'm being a nerd. My comment looked open ended
I think you are my favourite creepypasta youtube now
Hi i loved this story
Poor horse... hikers ....
I love me some lighthouse horror
For the uninitiated, many tribes consider Owls to be an omen.
The voodoo witch also uses owls for black magic
Ya the second time it came up I new it was import
It's always interesting to hear the difference in cultural beliefs when it comes to myths about wildlife..a well as similarities.
Owls are considered symbolic of wisdom in European lore.
....and how Foxes being considered "tricksters" is a belief that crosses different cultural lores as well.
"The owls are not what they seem"
What a fantastic story.
Both the writing and narration are superb!
I really hope that you will narrate more stories of this author.
This stuff is better than a sleeping pill. Not that it's boring. The voice is so soothing that I drift off to sleep about 10 minutes in. 💤😴🛏
White owls circled above me on a full moon foggy night. Mesmerizing
Definitely my all time favorite thanks 🙏 Lighthouse Horror! Keep them coming bro
The tale was enjoyable and very entertaining and you're narration second to none thank you for your time
You keep bringing your A game, thanks Lighthouse ........
I feel like Doom music should start playing at 10:35 lol
Man i love small towns why are these stories never in the cities, those are far creepier :((
I guess so but if it happens in the cities you'd have to ask why more people don't know of the creature.
BEST PART OF THE DAY!
Right on lighthouse you the da man ☠😱🖤🤯
Greatest vibes ever
Another gem of a horror story 👍
AWESOME...this was great
This is becoming one of my favorite channels.
😎👍
First off love the story..
Wanted to ask though, Would you please put a flashing light warning if you use prolonged flashing images? Epileptic here. Don't worry I'm ok a friend gave me a heads up.
Really love the story though
does your tummy hurt too?
Thanks for watching and sorry about that! I actually really hate using prolonged flashing images - both for the viewers that are epileptic, and because I just can't stand how the video comes out. I feel like it distracts. This one slipped by me. I appreciate you listening anyway and giving me a heads up!
@@LighthouseHorror Stephen, you are the BEST & MOST Diplomatic Horror narrator. I have nothing but the utmost respect for who you are & how real & down to earth you are. Off the top of my head I don't know of any horror TH-camr that is as real, succinct, & just an all around good man! 👍😎
@@TENZEN._. Thanks for all the support Tenzen!
@@estipiteapofonico dude epilepsy is a serious thing.
The guy was probably a Wendigo Skinwalker
Awesome storytelling as always Bro! ☺
A great story by the writer and brought to life by your great reading of it. Maybe the beast was Wendigo or Vampire
Johnathan was playing victim Whole time he trapping people and eating them. Maybe the creature knew what he was doing and was coming for him before he could strike again.
Great story and awesome (as usual) narration!
The Owl is seen as an bad omen. Means death...
Love these stories! Keep them coming
"I was a small town sheriff. There's one story I never tell."
Me: ...until it's told?
Oh my, was not expecting this 😱🤯
Thank you for a story that totally engulfed me that I çannot explain my feelings or emotions. I only want to thank the narrator for a compelling tale.
Great story one of your best I think
Wow!! Great story!!!!!!
oh wow. didn't expect the twist in the ending

I have been binge listening this is a great channel.
Shreiff: Theres a story ill never tell.
His wife: damn it you have told me this story to many times already.

•December 22, 2023
I believe this is only my 2nd time listening to this story. I listened to Steven narrate this creepy story 2 1/2 years ago when he 1st uploaded it to his channel. I now understand exactly what happened…
•Jonathan was a Wendigo! He had kidnapped, murdered then ATE the flesh of the missing hikers and who knows who else!Being an Algonquian Native American, he knew all about Wendigos and Skinwalkers… Once he started eating human flesh he started changing into a Wendigo. I believe Jonathan didn’t even truly realized what he had become and didn’t remember ripping apart his horse. Wendigos use bitter coldness which is what was felt on that property, especially the closer you got to the forest. The big owl was him shapeshifting so he could see what was happening on his property outside of the forest.
•I can’t believe I missed all of the clues leading to Jonathan being the Wendigo! I may have been listening to this narration in bed right as I was falling asleep making me less aware of every detail. This was a really great story narrated by THE BEST!
•I hope everyone in our Lighthouse Horror family has been enjoying this Holiday Season 2023! I hope y’all have a very Merry Christmas and/or a
Happy Hanukkah! 🩷✝️🎄🕎🎁☃️
Love from Texas ♥️🤠🌴
•P.S. Hmm… I just thought of another possible scenario. Maybe a Wendigo had taken up residence in the forest behind Jonathan’s property and had been working towards turning him into a Wendigo for a while. In the end Jonathan may have taken the last steps needed to fully transform into a Wendigo. He could have then made the choice to join the Wendigo at the back of his property to go live much deeper into the wilderness far away from people…
•Which do you believe happened? Do you have a totally different theory? If so, I would love to hear your version! 😁
"I can still remember it clearly" then proceeds to forgot which year it happened in.
Great story and very well told. 🍻
This was great
Wow, how did you know I need a laugh 😂?!
Thanks.
More greatness!
What a great story!
This is better then the other one I heard from another youtube narrator
Noooo😰...I can't sleep now because I have sooo many questions 🤯💀
Great story, have one comment though.
Near the end of the story it was stated that they kept the kids away from the trees of the forrest, that would have been an unsuccessful, 24/7 job when my brother and myself were young. lol
Yesss! Finally!
My dang#$#% phone decided to update itself - after I decided not to for 6 months- when hen I clicked on YT today. Of course when I try to listen to LH excitedly. 🙄
My favourite quote is:
I" took my truck up his drirt road"
You've played more cops than Clint Eastwood throughout the history of your channel.
Thumbnail reminds me of Rick Grimes from the walking dead

Nice.
Holy nice
"I remember it clearly.."
"It was 1981 or 1982, I'm not sure. "
Damnit 😂😂😂was it a wendigo 🤔😂😂Damn my Imagination 😂😂 GREAT STORY ❤
YOU CALL FR BACK UP!!!!!!!
In the real world small town cop would have no authority on native American land
What a nice police officer, a good story.
So Jonathan is the one that killed that woman?! And the creature killed the horse?!! I'm so confused. But a great story nevertheless..
Im also confused.
Damn this happened when I was born LOL
. "I can still remember it clearly, all these years later.
It was 1981 or 1982...I'm not entirely sure."
"Wait a minute, maybe I don't remember it quite as clearly as I thought."
.
What year did he start? Nice.
>small town sheriff
>thumbnail dude armed like a cowboy sci-fi fantasy protagonist
damn shawty ok 😳
Well this seems like it'll be an awfully dull story since you never tell it. Want me to step into the breach and tell the story of how I saw Tom Bosley at Bed Bath and Beyond ? But wait ! There's a twist ! It turned out to be a man who looked exactly like Tom Bosley who'd gone to meet his maker seven years prior. As you can imagine I was devastated but a friend pointed out to me that every heavyset white man in late middle age looks like Tom Bosley. He played Mr Cunningham on Happy Days - the dead guy not the one at Bed Bath and Beyond. So you can understand why my excitement bordered on frenzy. Btw this present story is excellent. You should tell it sometime.
The owl's are not what they seem...
Lighthouse kinda sounds like grant McDonald from Ram Ranch
It's always that way. Allwise part of the forest. You have to watch. They will move. Then disappear. Look you will sense the new location. Watch they will move. You have to chance the kill before the move.
But what if the guy was the... ok ....I'll take it slowly. And btw....it's ALWAYS BEHIND YOU!
Edit: Yess ! I was RIGHT !
*Great as usual.*
But writing it every day seems pointless. *Of course it will be great!*
How can I send Lighthouse Horror stories?
My reddit. There's a link in my profile. Thank you!
I freaked out beacuse of the town name, I share the same name of it. I was like who called for?!
What’s with the double wording here lol. Truck light, drive path, sink faucet… great story though, I’ve almost fallen asleep more than once so far
Im probably slow in the head but can someone correct me if I’m wrong? So the horse guy killed some hikers and a creature killer him because of it? Or a dude ate some people- man I’m so confused! Im having a hard time on this. This is the first story I’m having a problem with this. I’m not dumb I swear!
Right?
Damned Wendigo..
So, Jonathan the Native, was transformed into a creature?
That last line... love it.
❤
🙂🤘
wait so the creature was Jonathan, right? he killed the horse and the ladies, right?
Damn…
I know I’m late to this video but did Johnathan murder those hikers in his cellar or was it the creature?
God saves truck but leaves Sally the hiker to her fate.. sounds true enough to me
