♥️👋 Common sense would dictate that if the higher ups knew to make guards wear earplugs...then they should have ball-gagged the prisoner as an added measure!!!
Or they simply could have gotten rid of him at the time that they captured him. This powerful man was able to be subdued long enough for them to hog tie him basically but not go ahead and finish the job? Who would be standing on bureaucracy at that point? Just finish the blooming job!
Sound isolation rooms also exist. Install one and roll him inside.
Or why even guards in the back? Cameras only. Put the guards in a trailing car.

A great story, very creepy! Even if it had the huge plothole of the authority not restraining the antagonist from speaking, instead of relying on the notoriously weak discipline of people. Or put him in a sound proof chamber. Then have an accident happen of something and have the guards have a reason to open it/remove the restraints.
I had this same thought. I couldn't bother finishing the story.
I couldn't figure out how the author thinks that prisoners are transported.
One of the comments above make a lot of sense plot wise they think they purposely made the transport lousy and with a disposable guard to test the prisoner abilities since that’s a big military weapon if they can control him

It's really hard to write this kind of evil character as evil but the author did a great job. It's also hard to make this kind of evil character sound evil and yet scrawny and yet YOU did a great job. Thank you!
this is a really simple but terrifying concept, like the idea of a psychopath who just has complete, puppeteer-like control over everyone around him like this is just really haunting to me for some reason, especially it's not even clear how he's doing it or even what he is exactly. Is just some guy with ESP or something? Or is he some kind of demon, or what? Like the story leaves enough unanswered questions to make everything a lot more disturbing while still making it very clear what the monster can do and why he's a threat. Also, the protagonist is real dumb, like they gave you *one* simple rule, not an entire list to remember, why take out the earplugs?? Like what did he even think he would gain??? Like he doesn't want to be called a "rent-a-cop", but that's like a real amateur move if there ever was one lol.
Pretty creepy, seems like even with earplugs in and not being able to hear the voice, just reading the lips and knowing what Cavanaugh is saying is enough to compel people to do things to a lesser extent.
I was thinking why the prisoner wasn't gagged at the very least. And why put someone who can't follow a simple rule to this kind of task, they must not be taking this seriously.
right? there was one rule. imagine if he was the protagonist in one of those stories with a whole list!

Tell me I am not the only one that nearly cheered for Cavanaugh. This guard had one duty and he couldn't even do that. Though Weber may not have been following the rules I think this is why he would have made it. To bad he did not look up occasionally at his weak partner.

They would never use a a straight jacket on a prisoner instead of shackles or cuffs, they're much easier to get out of. Transferring someone to a death penalty is also highly illegal, you must be tried in a state where that is on the books and be sentenced to it.
yes well it's also pretty clear higher ups know something is up here and are at least trying to look legal while getting rid of a guy that convinces others to do his bidding. might not be legal but, there's definitely something going on here.

first theirs the fear of losing control, which is this guys main ability, then theirs the fear of being over powered by antoher force, which this guy does by gaining control, then theirs the fear or watching your friends die while you can do nothing about it, then the biggest, the fear of a loved one being in danger and you knowing you can do NOTHING, this story checked ALL OF THOSE BOXES, it's a good one, so good in fact, the ending actually pissed me off i just wanted SOMETHING or SOMEONE to grab that little piece of garbage and rip him limb from limb and leave bloody chunks lol
Oh I hated that line about the dogs and fish. It was so disgusting and unnerving, and the narrator’s voice encapsulated the general creepiness of the prisoner so perfectly. This is hands down my favourite horror story telling channel yet

I really like the voice he uses for his base narrations. Like an innocent in shock who doesn't know what's happening to him and just can't catch up.

Terrifying and gruesome... but great. My fiancé and I write stories (non creepypastas) about heroes and villains, and one of the villains has a similar mind control power. His is through direct eye contact, but I really like how the author portrayed this character. Very inspiring. I want to get into both writing creepypastas and narrating.
