    I’m not far off your grandmother’s likely age, and yes I can understand your simple explanations. Well done. It always helps to control the bike when you can understand what it is trying to do and why.

    Under hard breaking the rear tire basically becomes an anchor ( a “sticky” anchor) being drug along by the inertia of the rest of the rest of the bike. But, the rear tire is also being slowed down by the engine and intensifying the drag the rear tire creates, acting as a secondary braking mechanism. Otherwise known as “the engine break”. Making the rear brake more of a “last ditch effort” when shit hits the fan.

    Thank you for this video. It really helped to understand braking better.
    On the track, they tell us to only use the front brake. Only now do I understand why the rear brake is practically useless in this case.
    Do you have a video on traction control and how it fits in, or works with, braking?

    Hey Alberto, I have decent knowledge about physics and know the basics about how motorcycles, cars and speed work, but I like the way you explain it, it makes this conception very understandable for the riders who are not very familiar with the technical part of riding - which is fundamental tough. I am huge fan of yours and when you mentioned space, this kind of reminded me how people, who have university degree, tend to believe those things which you can read in the astrophysics or astronomy books. I am absolutely sure, that you have never even questioned those "principles", theories. People should not really believe everything that a book says, simply because it has been written by a person, this person has own interests or wishes and very often political believes. So, I suggest you think little bit more in direction Tesla and not Einstein, remember what Einstein ( questions was: how do you feel as the smartest human being on earth? ) said about Tesla in one interview: You should ask Nicola Tesla. According to the last one space is not really the thing you can watch in Armageddon or Guardians of the galaxy, think about that, also about the things that be have been lied to from the governments .. If you like some more details and proof, let me know, would be glad to enlighten your world, I see that you love to know things. Keep doing your thing and help others!!

    Just a small note, inertia in itself isn't a force but the property of any moving/stationary mass to not change its state of motion if there's no unbalanced force applied to it
    And to change this state of motion of this object, i.e. to overcome inertia, you need to apply an unbalanced force on the object, this is what the friction seems to achieve

      just make sure to squeeze. If you suddenly just pull and the weight didn't transfer yet to the front, you have a problem ^^

    • @hardware64
      @hardware64 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It depends on the type of motorcycle, on cruisers the force you apply between the breaks is almost equal due to weight distribution. It's much easier to lose the front

    I am not sure if i remember correctly, but i think it was Casey Stoner. He said that he never uses the rear break to keep the backwheel rotating as this acts like a gyroscope thats stabilizing the bike. Do you do this as well? Cheers, Patrick

    PLEASE READ!! Hey Naska, Tutto bene? I wanted to say before anything that i lobe your videos and they seem very helpful, im a Motard rider in Spain and I wanted to share my opinion in addition to your front braking video, I think theres something missing due to the the front braking system!! Specially at 200km/h ITS VERY IMPORTANT to use the back brake right before the front brake in hard braking to lower the back part (suspension) of the bike so the front doesn’t flip over and like this you make the level of inertia much more placed in the center!! I hope its helpful! PD: it would be good if you haven’t made it yet, to do a VIDEO ABOUT BACK BRAKING! Take care! From MÁLAGA!❤️

    hello albert here is a technical question which might also be an idea for a video if you want it to be so .
    so my bike is a v twin naked , but i noticed that the handling is very different from other 4 cylinder nakeds , it is so much easier to go fast on the other nakeds even tho they are older bikes and with arguably worse suspension components , i feel like it is way more easier to accelerate while in the corner as opposed to the v twin which doesnt bend gradually(progressively) but rather u will have to muscle it at the first 5-10 degrees and then suddenly it wants to fall on its own , could be because vtwin engine is usually situated much higher i dont know . i appreciate any replies thanks
