    13:30 This phenomenon is also known as *Safety Pillow* and it works 100% all the time!!! Just a little bit of throttle and most of our cornering problems are solved!!! Great video as always!!!

    Alberto I'm really enjoying your channel. The Fiat 500 has a open diff so the tyre with the least amount of load is the tyre that most of the engine braking goes to... So... If you pull away fast in the Fiat 500 the tyre with the least load spinns. (Doing a wheelspin.. One tyre fire..!) The same happens when the car engine brakes all the power of engine braking goes to one wheel, always the wheel with the least amount of grip. Basically when you lift off the gas in your crash the front inside wheel has all the engine braking and the car spun around that tyre. Differentials have a lot to say how cars behaves. I personally really enjoy front wheel drive open differential format. Lots to learn but the learning is the fun part. I hope you get to the opportunity to drive more front wheel drive cars and show us your learning and progression this for me is the best part of your channel. Talking of learning where is the heel and toe? ;)

    4:08 i think that happens because the swingarm pivot point is above the axel of the rear wheel, so when you accelerate, like you said, the chain pulls the wheel towards the bike, and the rear suspension unloads. This can be called antisquat 😂 nice video as allways 👌🏻

    Wow Alberto, in this video you are talking about exactly what I wrote in the comments to the video about the big front brakes, probably read my comment. But still did not say what parameters affect the transfer load. And this is primarily the size of the wheelbase and wheel track. That is why on your Abart 500 with a short wheelbase and narrow wheel track, with a high center of gravity, with the arrival on the curb and there was a coup. This would not have happened on a long, low, wide car.
    Cool, I did not even imagine that when accelerating the rear suspension of the motorcycle is decompressed, very interesting, I thought that it happens the same as on the car.
    PS When will you make a video about the explanation of the suspension work from the Andreani factory?

    Inertia is exactly a Force, and the force is equal to mass multiplied by acceleration. You only feel the force of inertia when there is acceleration, and with no acceleration - the inertia keeps something moving in an "unaccelerated" manner, and you and it feel nothing. In your car seat, you feel pressure, and that pressure is the force (due to your mass multiplied by the acceleration pushing you into your seat) divided by the projected area of the contact patch you have in your seat, where the projected area is the portion of the area perpendicular to the direction of acceleration. Elementary my dear Watson.

  • @ElectricFlashMedia
    @ElectricFlashMedia 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    nice explanation, I like the chain on acceleration causing the rear to lift and shorten the bike, which in tern must increase the bikes rear ground pressure. (engineer with an MT-10!)

    • @impactaustria
      @impactaustria 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      In motocross you can even help the rear shock with very hard impacts, like when you overshoot the downward slope after a jump and land in the flat, by beeing in the right gear and applying a lot of throtte upon the impact while having your bodyweight more towards the rear. Or in enduro racing you can also use it to power wheely your front tire over e.g. a log and soften the rear wheel impact without throwing you over the bars. It's very interesting how you can use physics and phenomena created by the way bikes work to your advantage in different riding situations.

    Question, On a car when you brake and turn , if you brake a little too hard it will go straight. How come cars with downforce can load the front further? Do they use different tires that can handle more load or is it with no downforce the braking force exceeds the grip before the cornering force?

    happened to me once, it was a large and nice road, a perfect invite to gas. Entered a corner, it was to long and I felt the car was just starting to slide both ends. I did not accelerated bc it was a RWD and there was the wall close, a rear slide would probably snap on that wall. Kept the gas same as I entered that very corner with the intention to not loose car balace. Eventualy the turn finishes, as I was geting closer and closer to the wall, but it all ended fine for me.

    Hello naska, i was wondering what motor helmet you wear, on your youtube profile picture? thank you

  • @andrewfigueroa5059
    @andrewfigueroa5059 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    So what you mean? You mean in that turn, give a shunt of throttle to shift the weight on the suspension, then would the natural thing to do, be to let off everything, let the car slide and regain traction and stability on its own. Then when it feels stable and the car has regained it's grip to the asphalt, to send fuel through the injectors to get up and go. Is this phenomenon correct?🤔 am I missing anything?

    • @xtom_99
      @xtom_99 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Give gas, rear is more loaded, the slide that happened because of too much braking will stop and you can turn with constant speed

    In a modern car, with ESP, you can press very hard the breaks in the middle of a corner and it will stop while keeps cornering because of the electronics. Without ESP, you would be out of the road.
