I find it so interesting that so many people say: "It's card manipulation" "Never showed actual cards picked" "Sleight of hand" Well, yeah. With cards, that's how it's done. If he did the trick with all the cards revealed, and face up, and moved at 10% speed, he'd be giving you (the viewer) the trick, and that's not the point. Well done, impressive, and so slick!
I am a big fan of Nestor Hato, and I am very happy to know that he fooled Penn and Teller with one routine that he put on the market since so long. Congrats Hato!!!
This is exactly what I'm looking for in a magic trick. I can watch it over and over again, and even when I *think* I see a kind of a move-type thing happening with hands I still have no idea what that move is or what it's accomplishing. It reminds me of the first Kostya Kimlat appearance (the upside-down cards), where I know intellectually he has to do *something* with his hands, and I can see that he is doing *something,* but I can't begin to tell what it is. Just beautiful.
I had the opposite feeling actually. I figured out the trick quite quickly using the "power" of slow motion (while for others tricks it can be very hard for me to understand, even watching the video frame by frame)
I'm sure the aces were beautifully forced, and psychologically it was done because he knew Penn and Teller would watch in a magicians way so he workedI think,in that backhanded or reflective suggestion of openness,so the trick is at once in the hands and in the mind.I'm no magician so may be this is just how it seems to me, but Penn and Teller are;that's just my point
This is the one that probably fooled me the most. I watched it alot of times and I have no logical explaination, except for venus trap but that would be impossible with the angles he is working with. If he releases this I would probably buy it. Also loved the way Penn masked how they were fooled. It was fun.
There's a brief flash if you slow the video down during the last trick. He did pull 8 cards at the end so when he flips them the 4 aces are then on top. But still... amazing trick expertly performed.
After watching a good trick on penn and teller, i have to come to this channel and watch it again. Watching your input on the tricks makes it super awesome.. thanks..
SPOILER ALERT !!! (going frame by frame using . and , on desktop) 3:10 the 4 aces, the 8 of clubs and 9 of diamonds are pushed behind the 4 kings. We see the top of the 9 of diamonds flashing behind the kings. 3:35 the ace of hearts is visible near the top of the deck when shuffling (in the part in his right hand) 4:32 the aces are pushed on top of the 4 selected cards. We can see at least one card being pushed. 4:45 inserting the aces near the top of the deck. And then controlling them to stay near the top. 6:04 pushing the aces on top of the selected cards. We can see the aces jump past his right pinky. 6:15 inserting the aces upright near the top of the deck. 8:16 pushing the aces behind the 4 selected cards. We can see the ace of heart flashing at the top. "No skill, no move" he says. Man, this move is so good and his skill is amazing. I love this routine so much. I am fooled so bad. Even knowing everything he does, I still don't know how he is able to do this move. It seems impossible. Any idea ?
@@BlackFlag94 I don't like just giving methods away, but he did go on television and Penn gives enough clues that people wanting to know bad enough can figure it out, so I'll do it like that: the deck is gimmicked in such a way a card or cards can be shot out if placed in the right spot and it's simple enough that you can make your own with a deck of cards and office supplies.
Jason, your analysis videos are the best. Period. Thank you for another good one. As for the routine of this extraordinary magician, it is amazing. Even Teller at 6:05 min shows his surprise: he knows that the trick is finished, and yet he saw - nothing. Pen too.

6:04 You can see he is taking 4 cards from a place near the top, but he does it so fast I had to pause the video to see it, it is incredible skill, and really I am impressed how well he can control cards in the deck... And make it appear like those 4 cards are just one. I doubt Penn and teller saw anything from their position.
Fascinating how he did that. Really great talent to slight of hand the cards when he did without a distraction. Can't imagine this would be noticeable without frame by frame watching.
Well at 5:57 at .25 you can see the bottom forth card Penn picked and it's the 10 of spades so it's not the cards that they picked, there's a slight of hand after some how.
there are two cards with an elastic band between them. he continually puts the aces between those two cards (natural break), and he releases the pressure on the cards which shoots the 4 aces right below the indifferent card pack of 4. when he turns all 8 cards quickly it's unnoticeable and he just takes the 4 top cards which are now the aces...great handling.
I like watching magic tricks. I am just some one who like to be amazed with pure skill of magician's. But what I like on your video is that you are a professional magician and you admit o I am amazed with this I don't know how is it done. That is great
Congratulations on the new Flat and I am looking forward to your Video's to come. As I have said before I really enjoy your vids and the fables, but I would like to know the story behind your moving ring? that truly fascinates me. Love your style.
I've figured it out, by watching the relevant parts of the video frame by frame. He must have two special cards in the deck. Those are connected by a latex (or other rubber) stripe close to their top edge. If you push cards between them, and release pressure on the deck, those middle cards get shot out. So, it works like a card slingshot. If you step the video (using , and . keys) through 3:10, you can see the jumping out corner of another card below the kings. So there were at least a six cards (4 aces + 2 other) pack jumping out below the kings. When he puts back the aces, he pushes them back against the latex stripe again, between the special cards (where the latex is glued). Near 4:32, the aces are now held above the chosen cards in the deck, and at 4:32, you can see them jumping out above the chosen cards. At 6:04 again, you can see the jumping out cards from the edge perspective. Last time he puts back the aces faced opposite to the deck. At 8:16 you can see a corner of an ace jumping out just below the chosen cards. But his execution is perfect! Even watching back the video frame by frame, you can hardly see the jumping out cards. If this trick does not have a name in the literature of magic yet, let's call it "Hato Slingshot"! So a few month later we can search the magic shops' catalogs for it... ;-)

if you watch carefully at 6:04 at 25x you can see cards shoot out from behind his hand. Look behind the pinky knuckle, the one right at the connection to the hand and you see the extra cards, which are the aces, shoot out to be on top of the cards that were selected. you can also see on the first trick the stack is more than 4 cards. The aces are spring-loaded and are released on top of the selected cards. At the end of 6:04, as he is folding the cards out you can see a fat stack of extra cards at the top, these are all the extra aces. Freeze at 8:16 and you can see the ace pop out behind the 4 selected cards. they are sprung out of the deck when the selected cards are covering, then when he flips it over they are on top.
glad you're settled in to your new crib ..cool colours .(strangely enough our school motto was facta non verba ) deeds not words bit like magic really more show than tell ...that card trick was amazing by the way ..cheers for upload as usual
There are two frames at 8:16 in which you can see a red ace peek out from behind the four visible cards. Furthermore, at 8:17, right when he flips the cards back onto the deck, you can see that there's a "fifth" card that's diagonally askew... likely the red ace from before. My theory is that the four aces are somehow gimmicked (magnetically perhaps) in a way that they can easily be kept together as a single card until the magician needs to fan them out... also explains why he throws them away after the trick is finished.
The aces are special, they are of a different thinner material that makes them stick together (or to specific cards, like one of the kings) and easy to grab out of of a squared deck. With that set up, he only has to make sure that the are somewhat in the 1/4 top of the deck (not at completely at the top, but still above any possible selection by the audience). Then once the four random cards have been chosen, he pulls the aces and the selected cards at the same time (so 8 cards), and puts that block of 4 aces + 4 random cards on the top. And the trick is done. You can see at 3:10 that he has more than the 4 kings, there is a 5th cards, but thinker than any other card, those are the 4 aces. At 4:32 you can see the 4 selected cards, there is a substantial gap between the top card and the first selected card, but the block that he pulls just after comes from cards which are closer to the top (the gap is much smaller). Again at 6:04, he is pulling some block of cards coming from the top part of the deck with the 4 selected cards.
Congratulations for the new apartement. i like the new background too. Regarding the magician, i liked his magik a lot. He is really good and makes the trick seem real easy ^=^

Just subbed Man i found this channel late Great content lpve the semi dry humor from the youtuber and i love reaction videos Plus you arent exaggerating and you actually know magic
I have no idea the mechanics of all this but at 8:16, you can see him kick out the stack of Aces that he places on the back of the stack of 4 and then puts them on top when he turns the packet over.
Wow Ben, there's only six comments and you have 8 posts! 😲 Anyway, Jason, thanks for the new video and congrats on the new pad! I am with you, I watch a lot of videos and practice a lot, and this guy is extremely smooth. Not sure of his techniques either. It is performances like this that makes me just think WTF just happened!? 😁
His skill is off the top of the chart! At about 4:30 and slowed down I think I can see what he is doing, but even then not how he is doing it. When he folds the 4 selected cards and rotates them around, he is somehow also pulling the 4 cards he wants with them and above them, so the 4 cards Penn selected are now 5th-8th cards. So clever!
you can see it at 6:04 the As jump off near the top of the deck as he's getting the 4 cards... it looks like a spring.. just a slight pinkie movement. No clue how he manages to spring them.
The last try showed I think the 9 of spades or clubs as the bottom card. He took them out, put them on top of the deck, and they changed to the aces. I slowed it down, didn't see the switch, so yeah, way fooled.
He was definitely pulling the aces with the chose four cards. I could see they were thicker than just four cards. Frame by frame shows a flash of the extra cards swinging out on the one that you stopped and talked about in the middle.
I LOOOOOVE how I requested this trick and a day later you post it... Given that you were gonna hafta do it anyway... I feel like you listened to me as a viewer! Thank you! Also Im trying to start out card magic... I know youre busy, but I would be honored to be able to ask advice from time to time.? I wanna teach my son magic... He is only a year and a half But I wanna start him young... Thank you
If you watch at 6:04 in 0.25x and look very closely you can see him push a small stack (the 4 aces) out of the main stack above the 4 selected cards. For a blink of an eye it looks like there are five cards sticking out of the deck. Anyway this is amazingly fluid. Very good performance.
Jason...at one point, when he was about to reveal the 4 picked cards to P&T, he would turn the cards around, from being upside down, to downside up, then he would reveal the cards. There might be some shenanigans done, when did the flip?
Yes, and when he rotates the cards you can see that 4 aces are diagonal to direction of other cards. However, if you rewing and try to see where he gets those aces *face up* behind those 4 cards, you see nothing. That's the trick he really does, not the method of displaying the results.
Okay, very quickly, I saw an ace where it shouldn’t have been right before he turned cards over. But how it got there, holy hell. It doesn’t seem possible.
Okay, seeing what’s actually happening, there’s only one way this could have been done. While watching o actually noticed he was holding that deck a little too tight. And now seeing absolutely no finger movements, and seeing how the aces seemingly fly out of the deck, there’s only one way this could be done.
Whoa this guy is REALLY good... even watching frame by frame it's really hard to see when he does his sleight of hand, he's SUPER clean... Unfortunately, I think the camera work on the show didn't help him, which is a shame because there's a couple of shots where you can see the trick from the chosen angle, even at normal speed, but yeah his mastery of card movement is really impressive... super smooth moves.
If you watch the video at 3:34 you'll see that when he shuffles the deck, he doesn't shuffle them all. More then half the deck doesn't get shuffled and the cards he had on top stayed on top. Being a CCG player, if I saw someone do this in a game, I'd call foul and ask them to reshuffle. Watch how he shuffles the deck at 4:58 - 5 min. Again, he misdirects while shuffling and doesn't do a complete shuffle. At 8:16 it looks like an Ace appears behind the last card. It's a split second, but it looks like an Ace to me.
Just like to say LOVING the series of videos, I wonder how many others apart from teller got the "four king frenchman" joke right at the start, BiG laugh from me, seemed totally lost on the audience and felt bad for him very slick very funny. Look at tellers reaction to it. xD

Freeze at 8:16 and you can see the ace pop out behind the 4 selected cards. they are sprung out of the deck when the selected cards are covering, then when he flips it over they are on top.
glad you're settled in to your new crib ..cool colours .(strangely enough our school motto was facta non verba ) deeds not words bit like magic really more show than tell ...that card trick was amazing by the way ..cheers for upload as usual
you are too pure for this world, jason
You guess my thoughts. After I saw this video I was looking your reaction video. I am so glad you posted the video. Thanks
Another brilliant analytical review as normal 😍🌟👍🌟⭐
Whatever he did it was super slick.
Fooled me.
Grats on the new flat Jason! Love the performance, not often Penn and Teller totally stumped!
You were missed JP - GREAT TO SEE YOU'RE BACK 👍
I got it!!!!! After 1hour of replay x) ! I'm Soo happy!! this is verrry smart!!!
deepest respect for how much training and more training someone has to invest to get so fluent with handling something like cards in this case
There are two frames at 8:16 in which you can see a red ace peek out from behind the four visible cards.
Furthermore, at 8:17, right when he flips the cards back onto the deck, you can see that there's a "fifth" card that's diagonally askew... likely the red ace from before. My theory is that the four aces are somehow gimmicked (magnetically perhaps) in a way that they can easily be kept together as a single card until the magician needs to fan them out... also explains why he throws them away after the trick is finished.
the way he placed the cards on the top was so clean, it's almost impossible to think of a way to do that...
If you slow down, you can see the Aces at the bottom facing up,so your theory is right, but he’s just too fast and smooth, what a master
Congratulations for the new apartement. i like the new background too. Regarding the magician, i liked his magik a lot. He is really good and makes the trick seem real easy ^=^
this was totally amazing! i saw nothing with his hands. i had just got done watching this one, look at first one one list, i was awed,Inspiring Magician With NO HANDS Fools Penn & Teller With CRAZY Magic!
Just subbed
Man i found this channel late
Great content lpve the semi dry humor from the youtuber and i love reaction videos
Plus you arent exaggerating and you actually know magic
I have no idea the mechanics of all this but at 8:16, you can see him kick out the stack of Aces that he places on the back of the stack of 4 and then puts them on top when he turns the packet over.
8:16 go frame by frame using . and , and you will see a small flash of an ace behind the cards
I don’t see what you said
@@AliveBang are you on desktop/laptop or mobile?
In mobile atm
@@AliveBang then you won't be able to try this now. On desktop/laptop, if you press the period key/comma key it goes frame by frame
True!
You are relentless JP: you deserve 1 million subs !
This guy is very skilled because he counts the cards and puts them wherever he wants, that's the trick
Wow Ben, there's only six comments and you have 8 posts! 😲
Anyway, Jason, thanks for the new video and congrats on the new pad!
So clever!
You can clearly see the aces being loaded into the set of four cards between the 8:16 and and 8:17 points for Penn.
my favorite out of all episodes
Hey jason i can not speak english. But german :) this card trik is amazing. Ich finds toll das du solche videos machst. I love magic. Good day
you can see it at 6:04 the As jump off near the top of the deck as he's getting the 4 cards... it looks like a spring.. just a slight pinkie movement. No clue how he manages to spring them.
The sale of this guys gimmick just shot through the roof. Nice job!
The last try showed I think the 9 of spades or clubs as the bottom card. He took them out, put them on top of the deck, and they changed to the aces. I slowed it down, didn't see the switch, so yeah, way fooled.
A card shark may use a double decker, that is my 2-way rough guess. VERY VERY clean looking though! Impressive!!
btw love the "new background " and congrats on the new flat.
When I saw this trick, I just had to create this gimmick myself. It's so smart, and such an old gimmick that most magicians forgot it exists!
me: hm, nothing strange with this trick so far
jason: looks with a weird face to the camera
me: i ALWAYS suspected
I want to believe it’s just sleight of hand and not using magnetic cards that he loads under the cards as he flips them out of the pack.
Great New place, great background light color fade.
Fantastic performance great sleight of hand. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Jaw dropping performance
at 5:59 it is possible to see it is not an ace, but how does he make the change? amazing
Thank you
At about 5:59 you see for a moment that the cards chosen were not aces. So the trick to turn them into aces happens somewhere after that.
He has a dvd "Nestorizer" where he teaches his gimmick and several effects with it. Néstor Hato has a great card manipulation act too
10:18 - Jason's look of "Well, that was one of those awkward Alyson moments."
It sounds like she started to mess up words but she just foreced it so well lol. Those are years of experience.
Another great video. Thank you.
There might be some shenanigans done, when did the flip?
very simple trick, one special thing making simple switches more deceptive!
Look at 8:17 how the ace pops up very briefly just above the king. All aces are behind the 4 cards, good switch though, hardly noticeable
Yeah very good switch , even when i see the ace there, I can not see where the ace comes from. Where did he keep them to make the switch?
Yes, and when he rotates the cards you can see that 4 aces are diagonal to direction of other cards. However, if you rewing and try to see where he gets those aces *face up* behind those 4 cards, you see nothing. That's the trick he really does, not the method of displaying the results.
Great. Now I have to spend the next hour watching this in slow motion. Fantastic.
Unfortunately, I think the camera work on the show didn't help him, which is a shame because there's a couple of shots where you can see the trick from the chosen angle, even at normal speed, but yeah his mastery of card movement is really impressive... super smooth moves.
just wow i finally believe in magic again..
Look at tellers reaction to it. xD
