  • Instructions for replacing offside door mirror on Mazda MX5 Mk3 for years 2005-2008.
I used this Haynes manual to help me. I highly recommend it for the Mazda MX5 amzn.to/2JtAemU

Used this guide to replace my mirror. Used string to pull through the wire(gleaned from comments) all in all, superb and where would we be without people posting useful guides !!

Thanks for the video! I also tied a string to the wire. Still had to unbolt the speaker but made the job easier.

Excellent tutorial on this not totally straightforward repair. On unbolting the speaker, you have to do it as the frame that holds the speaker is literally clamped down on the cable. I still tied a string and pulled it through as it as I removed the old mirror as it saved me having to fish the cable and connector out from behind the speaker. Again, Thank you for an excellent video.

@DrivingTestMordan hi dude, quick question, did the mirror swivel/pivot before mouting it to the car?
Just ordered a new one and it's kinda jammed. I was hoping It would swivel as soon as I screw it on to the door. But it wouldn't take any chances, since I have to paint it prior, which will void my return option. :D
      Thanks!
      I liked and subbed:)

Thanks for video, just replaced my mirror. I found it was easier to remove the speaker to grab the cable

Brilliant! Thank you. Great idea about the chrome covers if you can't get the same colour. Hadn't thought of that. I shall try attaching a wire to the cable before I pull it out just in case it's possible to draw the new one back in without unbolting the speaker mounting. Great vid. Thanks.

The wire is pinched by the speaker, so you still need to unbolt it to pry the top of the speaker away from the door, but the draw string worked perfectly. Thanks for the video - it got me the whole job done in under half an hour.

When you remove the old mirror why dont you tie a piece of string around the cable before you uplug it?
Then you just tie the new mirror cable to that and pull it through.
