Craig, thank you… great stuff and I always enjoy watching your terrific swing and natural move! What does it look like down the target line, i.e. how much of the right shoulder is going downwards and for how long? I appreciate your swing thought that the right shoulder goes to meet the right hip, but at some point, does it rotate past the foot target line, or only in the follow through? Hope my questions make sense and thanks for any input.
Thanks so much. I’m not sure how to answer how much of the right shoulder goes down? Do you film your swing? The rigjt hip is 3 inches lower at impact so if you film your belt buckle from the back 👍👍

What you are trying to describe here is simply an overhand motion. Every good player does it. The clubhead strikes the ball outside or above the shoulder plane. Most amateurs don't do it because they've been told the golf swing is an underhand or sidearm motion.
@@CraigHansonGolf Yes, if you were to realize that you're describing an overhand motion you'd be able to show how to do it rather than just showing what it looks like.
@@CraigHansonGolf I'm not sure what that's supposed to mean but clearly I've offended you and you're being defensive. I mean no disrespect. Take an open minded look at those swings and you'll see that they're all striking the ball outside or above the shoulder plane and that makes the motion an overhanded swing. The club is an extension of our arms and just like when we throw a ball overhand the hand is above the shoulder and in this case the extension of the right hand is the clubhead. No need for insults. This position you're advocating is easy to achieve once you know you're making an overhand motion or swing.
What I’ve found common to all the golf instructors is that they always focus on what the pros do. And the attempt to correct the student so that they can hopefully repeat the correct moves as the pros do. This is all fine except I can attest that it would be far more advantage to explain how the golf swing works and more importantly demonstrating all the wrong things that amateurs showing it wrong then showing it right
There is no way to swing poorly and play good. There is no special technique for uncoordinated out of shape golfers. With terrible technique. Golf instructors show pros as a reference. As a guide. They show the proven way the optimal way to hit a golf ball. The ball is stationary it has time be hit square from a certain direction and angle. Instructors don’t expect amateurs to swing like pros. Amateurs are way too uncoordinated and have low skill levels. Most are out of shape. And most gave no discipline. What pros are doing is trying to amateurs to improve. The closer and amateur gets to good technique the better they play in other words” The closer you get the better you hit “.. all about improvement. The further you are away from Pro technique the worst you hit it.
@@mylesmittwolI see what both of you are saying.. we understand there is no correct sawing and need to look at pros for the mechanics of the swing and stuff but it’s like an average basketball player trying to get better and then a basketball coach or trainer telling the average bball player saying “look, this is how Michael Jordan used to do it..” 😂😂😂
The closer YOU can get to what the pros do, the better YOU can hit it. That’s all he’s saying. If you’re satisfied at being a 20 handicap, then continue to do what you’re doing.

Very attractive presentation! My question: is the 40/55-degree tilt the same for all clubs or is it less for increasing club lengths?
Driver is 35 Degrees… the through swing can vary a little more with the driver

What i am trying to describe. Gee that’s so nice of you. Another genius in the comments area
Its hard to describe how wrong that comment is.

My problem is that I raise my head too soon... real hard to get rid of this bad habit.
That probably happens as a result of casting the club early in the downswing
