This was excellent in every single way! I do other types of yoga during the day, but at night before bed, I do an hour of meditation, qi gong, and yin/restorative yoga to relax and ground me as I deal with the hardest thing I've ever dealt with (my husband dying of cancer). Your instruction, pacing, props were all perfection. I've done yin/restorative for 10 years, but never did supported pigeon as you did (usually just the torso gets supported, not the front leg)--it was a whole different experience! I've been loyal to yoga classes at my gym for 10 years, but I have to say that instructors on TH-cam, especially you, seem more yogic---too many instructors at the gym just offer gymnastics on a yoga mat! It's all about making the room hot (105 degrees!), barking out orders to go fast, or even in yin classes, contort the body into positions that can be wrong or impossible for most of us. One instructor said that if someone can't do a pose, it's feat that's holding them back (??? Not genetics? Age? Injuries? ) Most of my classmates just do yoga to burn calories and "work Out" rather than working in. A few do yin/restorative, but it bores most. Not being able to go to the gym for a couple of months has actually deepened my practice. I'll be back for your restorative classes and will also try others. Thanks so much.

First of all, I send my heart out to you on the transition of your husband🤍🤍🤍 Genuinely praying for peace and comfort during this time✨
Secondly, 😲🤦🏾‍♀️ @ “fear holding them back”... I’m sorry but that is definitely not what we learned in Yoga Teacher Training. Come on. Seriously? 😅 Every single body is different. That was seriously unwise on that instructors part. 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️
But all in all, I’m so glad you enjoyed my restorative video! I’ll definitely be adding many more very soon. I’m painting my yoga/filming room to make it feel like more of ‘my safe space’ . I should be done by this Saturday! Thanks sooo so much for sharing that with me and for your support 🤍 It really meant a lot to me for you to take the time to write that!

@@AriannaElizabeth just discovered you in my YT feed and watched 5h3 video to see if I could connect with you. This looks soooooo soothing, and reading the comment above from the lady who list her partner, I can truly agree with what she said about your teaching style. I can't wait to have a look through your library and try out some of your videos. Love the restorative pigeon pose here!!! I struggle on my right side but have no problems in my left! You have just got yourself a new subbie! Namaste...

I have never allowed myself to use supports in yoga before ; but with this practice you have allowed me to understand the beauty of allowing gravity to be the main force rather than me pushing my body around. What an amazing class. I relatively new to yoga (8 months) and I really plateaued about 3 months in. I was getting discouraged and thought about quitting but when Covid shut down my studio I started doing these restorative yoga classes at home and I realized that I was no where near flexible to be trying the positions and variations that I was trying and I really needed this time to let my body heal for a bit and try to really relax and let it open on its own.
