    Had three rough nights of low quality sleep. I followed this on lunch break. The sleepy, tired feeling was replaced with relaxation and the brain fog was replaced with light hearted focus. Thanks!

      I taught it to my Rebirthing clients in the late 1970s after learning the practice from a lady who only wore orange visiting the Vidya Bavhan where I practised yoga. I still have an original cassette but nothing to play it on!

    In this meditation I drifted away a little, I felt my deceased wife rest her forehead against mine the way we used to. I needed that I needed the gentle tears on my cheek.

    I just discovered Nidra yoga and am finding it very beneficial. I've had MECFS 21 years so calming the mind and body is essential every day sometimes multiple times a day. I'm adding this session to my practice. Your voice is so calming. Thank you!

    I suffer from chronic pain. I have been listening to your yoga nidra recordings to help calm my nervous system. Your voice is so calming and relaxing. I feel completely restored after listening to these recordings. They give me hope that one day, my brain will not send faulty signals to my nervous system any longer, and I will be pain free. Keep doing your wonderful work.

    Thank you ! I do a half hour to an hour of Yoga Nidra a day , using your guided meditation. I am 73 , a long time meditator and yogi , and I drive Uber late night in San Francisco. That upsets my sleep cycle, so I use Yoda nidra as an excellent aid to balance that all out , esp if I don’t get enough sleep.

    Just want to thank you for all you do. I am practicing nidra 1-2 times everyday. When I get up... in my car on my lunch break... after work... and it's helping enormously.
    Former athlete (29) who's fallen ill with long covid and consequently developed PTSD 18 months ago. Slowly recovering and able to do more and more every month. It's a battle but your voice has been my guidance for many moons. Just hearing your voice puts me in a state of rest. I would love to do your training once I am able to financially. You have a gift and I won't stop raving about the impact this has made. I am a researcher so have been following a lot of the studies, just fantastic.

      I hope by now you're better. If I may suggest to you a couple of additional options- yoga tune up with jill miller and block therapy. Just look it up on TH-cam and listen a bit. They have lots of free content. Relaxing the body and trauma through fascia work.

    Hi Ally. I just wanted to let you know that you are my lifesaver. I suffer from chronic pain and often wake up in the morning feeling broken and like I haven't slept for even a minute. I have made it part of my daily practice to listen to one of your nidra meditations and most days it is what gets me through. I particularly love this 30 minute one for deep rest.     I was introduced to NSDR by Huberman and Is tumbled across your page. It is now my go-to for NSDR sessions whether 10 minutes or 30 minutes! I get my days started very early. I workout around 5:30am for about an hour and after my breakfast and shower I just feel whooped! So i’ve been making it a daily ritual to do this after I get ready to leave the house and I just feel so dang good afterwards. so happy to have been introduced to the beauty of NSDR. Thank you Ally!

    Male Firefighter with PTSD, going through a heartbreaking divorce.
    I forgot about your words and just flowed away on the breath of your speach. The waves in the background helped me find a warm beautiful spring day in my memories. 98% of my mind was in a trance. I had to use the other 2% to remember what a phone was find it and replay before the video was over. Laying on carpet with calves and feet resting above my heart in a soft chair. Entered a complete dream state of total bliss for a much needed moment in life. Thank you

    Hi I'm Sally Mann, Laurence Mann's wife and I've just done your meditation. I've done a few of yours of the last few months. However today has been a real special experience for me. I can't really put it into words really.... I've changed .. it's like I've accessed a whole new part of my brain , my soul .... Everything feels aligned. I feel like I can go forward with this new found courage that I am in control of my life , my reality and it's all there. Everything I need I just have to ask...     I had a teacher who taught us this. I bought his tape and used it to good effect. I lost the tape (cassette that's how long ago). It's great to be able to use this on TH-cam, thank you. When I wake up around 5 or so i use this to get a " magic" 30 to 45 minutes of DEEP sleep in.

    What can I say, Ally, you've officially become my go to for yoga nidra.
    I practice twice daily and at least one of those is yours.
    Funny thing is, to look at me you would never even guess I knew what this stuff was.
    I am convinced this technique has saved my life. There is definitely a sweetness in the still silence that keeps me going.

    I discovered your channel after listening to an Andrew Huberman lecture on nsdr. I’m doing a short one as a sort of siesta and using a longer one at bedtime. It’s been transformational, my sleep has really improved and the daytime break leaves me refreshed not groggy the way naps can do. Thank you so much, I’m a life member from now on 😍

    Your help during this very difficult time for me is immense, I have severe restless leg syndrome and terrible insomnia which has made me depressed and caused anxiety but going through your lovely video talks the yoga nidra in your softly spoken calm way is helping me deal with things so much better than I was before.       Hey Dave I have restless arm most nights. I second the magnesium tables but they didn’t work as well for me as magnesium spray. I get it in my arms so I spray the area before I go to bed and if it wakes me up I use the spray again. Has worked miracles for me. Sending you sleepy vibes 😊

      I friend of mine is So much better of restless legs and insomnia since his neurologist gave him some patches with one of the drugs used for Parkinsons desease, I’m not so sure if is Dopamine …….así TH-cam doctor, he is using the in his back…

    This is incredible. I have been recovering from complex trauma, addiction, and hormonal imbalance, all while reinventing many parts of my life. I've been struggling this winter with low energy, and every afternoon my stamina just runs out no matter how gentle I am with myself. These practices always help me come to a peaceful and loving place in my body, and make me feel so regenerated.     I've been practicing Yoga Nidra for many years. I had a cassette tape with 2, 30 min yoga Nidra sessions presented by an English woman called Gilian Ross. I bought it around 30 years ago when I lived in England ( I'm a New Zealander)
    A few weeks ago, this tape finally gave up its long and much utilized life.....

    This practice has been my salvation and life line at times when I've struggled with chronic illness, insomnia & stress .

    For me, the best ever. The background whoosh was unobtrusive, and I LOVE the way “oneness with all” was sneaked in with other sensory experiences. Perfect. Thank you. (And it rolls forward: I do yoganidra before leading my dream groups, to get me clear and ready.

    I have a toddler and a baby and I’m never fully rested. I struggle to unwind and nap and these videos are a lifesaver. I’ve been doing them a couple of times a week for 3+ years now when I can and they’re perfect to reset. So peaceful, thank you!

    I have been listening to your Yoga Nidra's for over a year now. A lot of times I go into a sleep and come back super recharged.
    If I don't fall into what feels like a deep sleep then I struggle with being able to visualize and I over think my life. I still find them all super helpful, but I wish I could get into the same states that I see people talking about.

    Struggling tremendously with being thrust into living alone. Sleeping well is a thing of the past. Tried this during the wake up zone 3AM-5AM and struggled, then started several days ago doing the 30 min session just b4 getting out of bed. Wow, it's really helped my energy/emotional management through the day.... even 2day - winter solstice. Thank YOU

    Ally, this is singlemost the most powerful and beautiful yoga nidra i have done. The imagery you create is so beautiful and very ethereal. Floating among the stars is my thing and i loved the incorporation of that. Also, most importantly, your voice is so soft and beautiful that's it's impossible to not be mesmerized .     Thank you so much for posting this. I am suffering (2years in) from a brain injury caused by a car accident. My vestibular therapist recommended I try this and you were the first video I found. I found myself getting emotion during my session (I haven’t slept well in almost two years) I was in such a deep state of relaxation and tranquility that I haven’t felt in forever. Coming out of it I can admit, I was in tears, such an emotional release. Thank you again so much.
