Thank You My Friend! This was so informative. I've got to replace the trigger guard for my M1. It wants to jump out of the stock when fired. This was by far the best video on the trigger housing! Thank You again!

Great video man. I like the extra info and explanation you did on how the trigger sear and hammer work together, and the bit about the safety.

Today I took my trigger assembly apart for the first time and got stuck when I went to put it back together. I watched this video and didn't realize I had to tap the final pin with a hammer. Thank you!!

Original parts are readily available. If you have an M1 Garand, you have a rifle that will last a really long time. John Garand designed on tough piece of equipment here. He knew how GIs handle their gear and how important the battle rifle is. Then the M1 became the M14, nearly a duplicate gun. Then we were switched out to plastic. I recall the evening before going outside the wire and we went to draw weapons and the armour was handing out these little Gi Joe jobs.

Thank you for making this video. I just received my first M1 Garand for the CMP last week and when I shot it the first time (and a few times after) it would double fire. Scared the crap out of me. Talked to the range guys, looked on the web, then diagnosed it as a worn Sear. So I called the CMP and they sent me a new hammer and trigger. I had no clue how to take this all out of the Trigger Assembly. This video was clear and concise that help me get through replacing the parts, and now the hammer doesn't go forward when releasing the trigger. Off to the range for me!

    Great video
Brand new just purchased M1 a soul come check it out for 100 rounds through it worked great beautiful no problems….
Ordered off the Springfield website the next GEN scope mount kit, which required to remove the trigger assembly to mount.
No problems mounted it properly install the red dot accessory and took it to the range.
Right away the weapon miss fired or I should say I did not fire, round chambered fine pull the trigger it sounded like the hammer function properly but the rounded not fire nor didn’t leave a mark on the primer of the round?? Remove magazine ejected round started all over again with the same results and scratch my head what the hell is going on?
This probably happened four times in a row each time remove the round there was no marks on the primer move the magazine and after about the fourth time I’ve nothing happening..
I tried one more time and it fired!!! Fired off 10 round magazine no problem.
Put another magazine in and the same thing happen again….
So obviously when I remove the trigger assembly to mount the scope ( I did not do anything to the trigger assembly except remove it per the instructions and reinstall it after mounting the scope rail)
I’m at my wits end trying to figure out what would cause this…
Anybody have suggestions or similar experience I would love to hear from you
    Thank you

I see you have a can of Lubriplate; it's the USMC recommended grease for a military rifle.

Awesome Video. On a Garand Which components usually break down first or What spare parts would you recommend to have just in case?

thanks for this video I was having a hell of a time trying to get that last pin in. do you know what would cause a trigger guard to open up while shooting?

  • @TeamPaulie2520
    @TeamPaulie2520 10 ปีที่แล้ว

How about fixing a lose guard? Trigger pack will gall out sometimes when I shoot, if I place my hand under the guard it it stays in place.
