    As a runner of less than 9months, I have found the VN2 to be a good all round shoe and I have been using it as my tempo /interval shoe. Can't wait to get the VN3.

      I agree, I have been running for a while and have tried all manner of trainers. For me, the vaporfly is my favourite. Comfy and a do it all shoe.

      I have V2 currently my daily. I have V3 I wear casually waiting to wear out my V2 to start running in the V3, but my V2's aren't wearing out fast enough so I think I'm just going to start running in V3 because I'm excited for them.

    This is my first puma shoe and wow, I'm impressed. The comfort and versatility of this thing along with puma grip...whew. It's a banger.

    I've just bought my first pair of Puma Velocity Nitro 3's on the back of these reviews. They're yet to arrive but I'll report back in due course. Many thanks.

    I have 400 miles on the Velocity 2 and it’s still great. Will get at least 500 miles. I’ve waited for a few months post release and got Velocity 3 for £70. Great value shoe for an old plodder like me

    Would have gone for the Nitro 2 if I could find my size anywhere. Ended up going for the 3 in the First Mile/Recycled upper colourway. A little more expensive but such a nice colour and the sustainability is a bonus!

    Just got a pair of VN2 for £54 from Start Fitness, looking for a mile muncher but not wanting to pay much and also looks good as a casual shoe so a win, win!

    In my view it does compete very well with the ES3 which sinks too much if you are 75kg+ and the VN3 is also better for longer distances especially as it will provide much more structure once things start to fall apart, and especially once you start to heel strike longer into your runs. The low hanging fruit for improvement is the breathability, but otherwise a good solid all-arounder.

    I've loved the VN2 (and really enjoyed V1). Finally grabbed a pair of V3 this morning online for just over $100 NZD (about £45); stoked with that.

    No other pair of shoes disappear on my feet more than the Velocity Nitro 2s. I hope these are similar.

    Thanks. Great detailed reviews. I loved the 2s and awaiting the 3s. 2s were great and the price was great.
    One thing about Puma is they do run large. I need to size half down in Pumas because of the length.
    I want Puma to go to an 8 mm drop for their daily trainers, and make their uppers more breathable.
    I have 7 Puma running shoes, from trainers to racers.
    I mean the price! 😎

    I have different versions of Puma velocity Nitro 2.They all are not the same. One is very difficult to put on but at the same time has much more durable outsole. The second one is very easy to put on but the outsole wore out in just 200 km. The third one there is difference of 15 grams in weight between left and right shoe.
    The only reason I buy puma Velocity nitro 2 is they are mostly on sale and cheaper and the Puma grip is very good on wet roads.

      Had exactly same experience.
      Bad finitions/quality control and lot of variations.
      Midsole itself was good but the rest was really poor.

  • @nicklas6973
    @nicklas6973 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Just got mine. I found it to be way better than the v2. Upper and fit for me is much better. Although only 2 mm more, the midsole feels much softer and taller. Bought v2 because of nick plus I don’t like max cushion shoes. Found the v2 to have a flat ride. V3 is much better overall. I prefer shoes with traditional geometry for most of my runs. Currently using adios 8 and Vaporfly 2 for faster sessions.

    • @slorunner7086
      @slorunner7086 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      How is the fit vs V2? Still need to size down in EU size or true to size. V2 felt flat to me too as a midfoot striker.

    • @nicklas6973
      @nicklas6973 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@slorunner7086 i found v3 to have more secure fit. Same length as the v2 but less toebox volume. The upper on v3 is better.

    Great review, picked up the VN2 because of all the love from this channel, and wanted to wait for your take before grabbing these.
    My main question is after picking up the Deviate Nitro 2, Nad Velocity Nitro 2 on 40% off, would you say Velocity Nitro 3 is worth the full price? Puma is pretty generous with discounts but it could be while before this is discounted.

    Thanks for the very detailed video, Run Testers! With the powertape (which was very constrictive in the ForeverRun Nitro), would you say that the Velocity 3 feels more narrow (seeing the big powertape element on the internal arch side) than the Velocity Nitro 2. The 2 felts narrow initially but stretched after 80-100k but I wonder if such stretching occurs with the 3 and with that amount of powertape. Thanks for your answer.

    From those images the Nitro 3 looks much narrower in the forefoot than the Nitro 2. Do they make a wide 2E fit as I doubt I could wear the standard D size.

  • @MyFatAdaptedLife
    @MyFatAdaptedLife 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Looks like a functional shoe. What turns me off is the 10 mm heel drop; much too high for my taste, especially at easy pace.

    • @davidlynch9049
      @davidlynch9049 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's to appeal to all runners.
      Some runners can't handle a 2 mm drop - seriously. I'd prefer it at an 8 mm drop, but I can run well in any drop - back in the day, the drop was 12 mm.
