I'm new to running this year and after trying a bunch of shoes (Novablast 4, Gel Nimbus 26, Clifton 9) I settled on the 1080v13. Great shoe and pretty light for the amount of cushioning it has. Definitely would recommend.
cushioning definition varies for each runner because is the "comfort" level that an specific shoe provides for an specific task. In my personal case, comfort does not equal high stack height, nor softness that allows the foot to sink in too much, yet comfort to me comes with a flexible midsole, a shoe that allows to pick up the pace when needed, and a shoe that is not too heavy.
I wish you guys would do a clip on the closest replacement for the Triumph 21. I know the Rise 17 is sort taking over but it’s also slightly softer and less bouncy.
Cushioned shoe is for everything for me, the reason i say that is for a 63 male and i run mostly for therapy but i do run a couple 21k or 24 k so i like cushioned for these race runs also cuz my legs and shins feel sorta good after race? But if i use less cushion and lighter im sore for 2 weeks, so i like slow and steady and long
Great YT videos and very good information. I'm 50 year old male over weight. Started to do walks on roads and farm gravel tracks and canals. I wanted to start slow pace of 5 min jogging and build a steady Base. Looking for water proof trainer plus winter will be round the corner so dont want colourful trainer . What's comfortable trainer that do it all would you recommend, im 8 half ?
@@RyKnockshow many shoes are you supposed to have? I’ve played basketball all the way through college and never needed a recover shoe, game shoe, and practice shoe. I’m new to long distance running and only have a ride 17

I can't wait until for the rundown.
I really enjoyed this , great the way we all joined in on the confusion and minefield of the 'cushioned shoe evolution' , good one lads 😄

Agreeing with Kieran on the Ghost Max 2. GM 1 was great. GM 2 is still a mystery. Just doesn't seem to roll as well & feels more of a lump.
Still rocking my Nimbus 25's :P
Great As subject matter. . More issues on this matter. 👍👍👍
Hoka skyward x is my favourite max confront shoe
Been rocking the nimbus since nimbus 12.
Dudes so fast, he needs two watches!
Any reason why this isn’t in the podcast feed? I thought they usually released at the same time as youtube.

Cushioned shoe means easy day shoe
Asics just press released glideride max
what's the difference between cushioned shoes and daily shoes?
They can be both, but a Triumph would have more cushion than Endorphin Speed. Both dailies, but a Triumph could be used to recovery too.

Was Nick banned from this one after taking the piss too much on the daily trainer episode? 😅
You should never hang your clothes behind the door..it's bad luck!
