Same goes for tons of black and white double feature cards all worth way more then I paid and I actually like the art... dude its commander. i keep saying this over and over and over and over again. the core mtg players don't give a shit about commander cards. they're not legal in any format. unless that card exists in a standard legal set; then fine. that is why i never buy commander cards. any that i have; i pulled from packs.

Commander Legends one is a great set. I paid $90.00 a box for mine when it first came out. The original JumpStart is also good. I paid $84.00 a box. Thank you for the video Rudy.
Bought a case from Rudy. Opened 4 boxes. 2 lotus and 2 mana drain. The two remaining boxes remained sealed and are likely duds. Will never open or sell though.
This info is off, they've been sitting at 140-145 avg since at least January. Rudy probably just invested a bunch before people realize its a way better box than masters coming at the end of the year and now he's trying to further pump it. I respect it.
There really is a big difference between the USA and Europe. In Europe you can find hundreds of boxes (English version) for 140 dollars. Granted, the price did increase :)
Guessing these are the first cards in a while people actually want to play with. I'm not sure of the cancer levels of the cards but it's definitely smart to overcharge because people want to play with them.

I'm new to sealed and have 4 boxes of it myself saving 2 for a rainy day in 10 years to do a commander draft to rember how fun it was but glad ro see tht people enjoyed drafting it like I did
I bought a couple boxes of Commander Legends when it came out, in the hopes of drafting it in the future. We did a few drafts so far, but other draft sets have been more popular. Maybe when the price goes up, we can hold a "premium" draft.

What's also happening is when new stuff is more expensive, all the previous boxes at the old prices get snapped up, leaving the more expensive ones out there
Nope, the way collectables increase over time is way ahead of what inflation does. Something giving you over 50% what you paid for it 2 years ago is obviously faster than inflation if inflation was to the same standard a single dollar wouldn't even be a thing no more as every two years things would of all increased by 50 cents meaning if a drink costed you 1 dollar two years ago now it's 1.50 then in the next two years it's 2 then the next 2.50 which for sure isn't how fast inflation goes. Going by the method they equate to each other, you would of reached $100 been the new $1 pretty quickly. It takes decades for inflation to really take that turn were previous currency becomes devalued by so much. Sure $500 was a bit better any 2 years ago but it's still pretty good now it's not as if $500 is just trash now same way that extra $50 bucks ain't.
Oh it will, it's a set with good commander format stuff in it that will go up. Even if they Reprint Jetmir or Raffine in secret lair at some point, it's highly likley they will keep value from their original set and not to mention their Gilded foil versions.
I still say black and white full art borderless crimson vow and midnight hunt art card basic lands are the best thing magic has put out in a long time. Think about how rare they are relative to everything else that isn’t intentionally rare printed.
