I like the current price points of the collector boosters it's a huge difference between the first few sets of 500 dollar boxes. The crazy part to me is the price of the draft boxes.
Patron spent $1000 on 6 collector boxes. A $25 etched foil portrait and a single $150 foil jewled lotus. A few $30 swat/rollicks/fierce guardianships. Hate to be negative, but why would anyone buy this shit?
The awkward moment when the texture foil Kozilek is worth only $25 and the two foil frame break Deflecting Swats he opened and sounded annoyed about are $45. 😅
this product is just a failure in so many ways.. way to expensive, local game stores got fcked heavly, nobody likes the facecards, most of the dark etched foil cards look terrible, nobody buys them. And also you sir made a big mistake by saying 200 or 209 is a good price for this product and then it went down over 25 % and its still under this 209 price.. bad bad bad Also most of this textured foil cards crash hard in prices, this kozilek was like 100 bucks to 40 and now 25 and there is no reason why it should not go lower like the other texture foil cards from prevoious sets like double masters. Also why not looking up some prices before doing a video? Like a sol ring is almost 20 bucks or i saw 10 cards worth more then that eldrazi textured foil thing
Rudy maintains that none of these Magic sets are terrible products. Only that the booster boxes he opens (Collector Boxes) are doing completely terrible things to MTG and WotC should stop. But only after he has sold them all to his Patreons.

It’s so sad to see theses once expensive cards are now next to worthless and dropping like a stone daily. There is no confidence in the singles market.
I could totally see these being worth $50 a pack probably more right after the release of throne of eldraine. The problem now is so much of this box has or at least feels like it’s been printed in the last 6 months or will be printed better in the next 6 months. With them putting wild things in every standard set there is no point to a masters set. Mana crypt and cavern are in the next standard set. That might be ok for that set but there is no way that’s good for the long term outlook of this game. Maybe mana crypt is ok it was double masters when that was printed last but hasn’t cavern gotten it like 4-5 times in 5 years. This time aren’t they getting like 20 versions. We have definitely hit the junk wax era of magic. I can’t wait for it to end.

I'd pay 215 for commander masters set boxes. I would have gotten a couple for sure. It is what it is, I like it, 300 for a box is still a bit pricey for me though. I think it's a grand slam product but is over priced.
Despite of Rudy's talk, this opening exactly showed why it is not worthwhile buying these for 50 Dollars a Booster (if you are not into burning half of your money)!

Got one for 199$ CAD a few weeks ago, so around 145 US, got a Lotus first pack plus Kozilek and some other stuff, I was pretty happy.
I also like the portrait series. The pink dragon is pretty neat
