100% spot on... literally did nothing for vr since the initial release. Not even quality of life features. Needs Vr only lobbies ( even if you have to wait to que) Needs to have fov adjustment. Many cars the seating positsion is wrong. So you have to sit in a certain position until vr kicks in. How they do not allough you to adjust your position blows my mind. 😂 Need more driver info like you said. Head tracking would be great. ( especially in vr lobbies) Update to the visuals to improve clarity would be great ( although this might require ps5 pro) I literally only use my psvr2 for gt7. As much as L love it when I use it, its getting more and more difficult to keep hold of it and not sell it. Especially as this vr implementation feels more like a alpha test rather than an actual retail product. Its a competitive game and they remove features to make it less competitive yet force you into lobbies where them drivers have more data than you. Its not right.
And can I just say why is there no PSVR1 support? For those of us that bought the OG headset, there is no reason why they couldn't have supported the old headset in GT7. Even if they only supported it for the PS4 version of GT7. It's just dirty the way Sony screws over users with little to no support for their devices. I doubt we will see any other racing titles on PS5 in VR. Like you I have seriously considered selling mine. Hard to justify keeping it for just one game.
Make good points, but instead of waiting to queue just go in the track and turn laps. What do you mean by "Head tracking would be great" It currently tracks my head movement unless you are referring to something else?
@@TheMc2nv I believe what he means by head tracking, is for when you're racing with other players who are also in VR. If I turn my head to look to the left at them, they should be able to see the driver's head in my car look to the left. It would be neat, but I don't think it's totally necessary other than to confirm that another driver has situational awareness when racing. Even if the other players aren't in VR, they can use the D pad (or whatever buttons are assigned) to look left or right. I have to believe most GT7 players don't bother to look any farther than 10 feet in front of them based on how they drive in the daily races lol. He's spot on about everything else. We need, and want to see some updates to the VR stuff. The HUD information is the main thing I'd like to see updated. Giving us half of the HUD is crap. In race info is important when deciding on strategy decisions. PD doesn't care about the VR aspect of their game. I firmly believe they did the bare bones minimum as a marketing stunt to please Sony, and help sales. Still to this day, GT7 is the ONLY racing game with VR support on any console. I really wish EA sports would give F1 24 a VR patch. They did for the PC players, but not the console players. Even though Sony worked out a deal for PS VR2 to work with PC, we can't get some of cross platform games that have VR support on PC to come to the console. World of Outlaws dirt racing would be awesome in VR as well. Nope, only the PC players get that.
I absolutely love playing GT7 in VR, it’s actually the only way I play it now, but agree it makes Sport mode harder for sure, especially if the radar is way out of your peripheral vision. One main thing that’s always annoyed me with it is the sudden jump to VR after 3, 2, 1, race start. I wish they’d add a FULL VR UI for the game, like the main menu on a big flat screen just feels cheap; at the very least, let me sit in the car during auto drive at the start, and also in the pit lane, so the camera position doesn’t shift on pit lane exit if you’re not sitting perfectly centred. So much more potential, but I don’t wanna complain too hard, as it’s generally a fun experience. Made me buy a sim rig! Haha.
It's the only way I play these days. I think driving in VR with my Pro racing wheel set-up is so immersive and game-changing, so much so that I only play Gran turismo now, I can't remember the last time I played ACC or Assetto corsa, and this is 100% because they don't support VR on console. I don't care that I am most likely slower than I was when using my tv... I feel faster and more in control somehow 😅
Since I’m playing Gt7 with Psvr2 there’s no return to monitor mode for me! The feeling with all these different cockpits and the overall immersion in combination with a rig/wheel is absolutely fantastic - I hope PD are going to realize the massive potential and will continue improving… thanks for the report Kireth 👍
@@NickthaGeek I listened and I have to agree with @iwantalot. Everything Kireth listed sounds great, but I think a different title would be much more appropriate. This video is much more like a wish list for things you would like added to GT7 with PSVR2, not - Why did Sony Abandon the PSVR2?.... 😔
They need to make VR only lobbies (get auto booted if unplugged) or add the data we need in VR view. I really dont understand why they don't just add this, sounds pretty minor given the other updates they do. PSVR2 in GT7 is a total game changer, I've had PSVR since launch and I no longer play GT7 2D, the VR is _so good_
@@jaimemccomsey478how is anything he said in this video not a fact, and just an opinion? Something tells me you have a few wires crossed in the comprehension department to not be able to distinguish these concepts
@@Kireth - And I know they’d never do this because it would be a monstrous amount of work… but how sick would it be if you could also pop the hood/bonnet to see the engine?
@@Nukeaonthat's for Sony marketing though. Sony isn't responsible for game updates. This is on the game devs to do. I highly doubt we'll ever see updates to VR in GT7 from PD at all. Sony pushed PD to get it into their game to promote the VR2 when it launched as a demo of it's capability in hopes to impress gamers into buying it. Since then, we've seen a handful of games at best get VR2 support. Sony has to stop production and open up to getting it to work on PC just to try and move the surplus. It's very expensive for what little support it has. Although I love racing in VR, I very much regret it.
100% VR for me was transformative. The initial GT7 VR experience was so strong that flat screen racing is just not appealing for me any longer. I invested in a top of the line PC and Pimax Crystal just to have more VR options. It's too bad too, because the initial VR release was strong. You got an incredible immersive experience without the sometimes tedious process on PC getting VR to work properly. Hell, you could take the headset off and shut it off mid race and have the game go seamlessly into 2D mode. But after over a year, no updates for the VR version of the game. Considering all the work PD did for the VR version, I think update to the HUD and all the numerous ideas you suggested should have been quite manageable. There was a real opportunity here, sim racing and flight sim are really the two best implementations for VR, and putting extra effort into the process is how VR gets elevated out of niche. If you make the experience something you aren't willing to ignore, more people get on board which makes it more accessible and more cost effective down the road. Let's hope even if Sony won't invest the time, others will. I know I can't go back. I just finally got my Crystal and AC dialed in last night, and spent 3 hours going around Bathurst in my 911 RSR night to day with variable weather. Could not stop smiling.
Also the view should bank with the car in the turns. When you go around a high banked turn, the VR view stays up and down and does not lean with the car, really takes you out of the experience.
@@jonahbusch1194 Yeah, I agree. It should be an option. They should handle it like the Wipeout VR conversion was done. There were tons of view options to lock it certain ways for sensitive people , but the ability to fully unlock the view for those of us who are unfazed.
I agree. But, I would really say its totally flat and lacks any feeling of elevation changes. Drive club VR did an excellent job of giving a sense of elevation and GT7 feels completely flat.
@001sander2 but the fact that there hasn't been an update for PSVR2 for GT7 for a long time doesn't necessarily mean they abandoned it. More like they have the priorities set differently. More people play normal GT7 and a handful plays with the PSVR2 so it isn't really that strange. PSVR2 with GT7 is absolutely stunning, and many people say the same, so i highly doubt that they will ever abandon it. It will only grow bigger ;)
@@-never-gonna-give-you-up- "doesn't necessarily mean they abandoned it" Stop coping. It literally means that. There's so many things GT7 in VR2 is missing, compared to flat version. Quality of life things. There's no excuse not to add them, if they're already present in flat - for example, deltas. Lack of them for more than a year DOES confirm they've abandoned it. Enjoy the game, play it, as long as you're happy, that's fine. But coping is just that - coping.
@ArturKwaszyn why would they throw everything over the fence for a VR headset that is already being stated as "low selling" by sony themselves? They work on it at their own pace and whenever they feel like it's worth it. Remember, the main game is the non VR version of GT7, where all the money comes from. Obviously they focus on that version. I say it again, as long as we haven't heard an official statement from the devs of GT7, we won't have to worry about it being abandoned.
Why can't we have an option to adjust the seat height and position in VR? Ok, there is a way to hack it, but it's really annoying how it resets after a pit stop
I love playing in VR, when I switch back to 2D I do find it much easier as I believe the camera angles you get is basically a cheat you can see the corners and over the cars in front plus all the info you get on the screen. There should be races where it's only first person view. Not sure why you want to drive from outside the vehicle, but yeah I get it cause it easier.
I totally agree with these points especially the lack of information during a race. That said, its been a game changer for me! I absolutely love it and hope that these small issues will be addressed in the not too distant future!
What amount of information you want? Too much information and it will take away the immersion , actually, I do not like that the information is actually available, it is right in front of your view, distracting and taking away part of the VR experience...
You can see your feet as much as you would in a real car if you want to look down and die. Just add a couple of bass shakers and SIM hub and you get all the feedback you need and its not expensive if you shop around.. i have 4 but one in the back of the seat on braking set up right gives you plenty of brake pressure feedback.. only thing we need is position/ timing to other cars in race, all the rest would on screen would ruin the emersion... In my opinion..
Clacky gets it. Adding shiet like input display would just make it less immersive and more bot like driving like it is currently on flat-screen. Also Keith... Psvr2 isn't abandoned. Quit the clickbait dude, it's killing your channel.
He's very simply using his platform to voice our and his opinions for the possiblity to make something we love even better, and they definitely watch him so he's doing us a solid. Constructive feedback is not negative
It would be sick if they would implement a pit crew that told you info about your car and the race as you go. So you would know when to pit and other valuable information. It would be incredible if they would add voice prompts so you could ask your pit crew this info at anytime during the race. GT7 is my favorite vr racer of all time. So much content right at your fingertips with no modding for tinkering.
It’s the only way I race 😎 But yeah, it would be nice with some better hud options for competitiveness. And if PS5 pro will be able to run 90 native would be amazing 😏 Having said that, I just want PD to undo the FB cap on my DD wheel, so I can use the NM I’ve paid for 😕 And I’m getting so impatient waiting for a Logitech Pro shifter 😫
I think this is just a matter of numbers. There are millions of players who will use and enjoy the things they are implementing now, but for VR2 we are only a handful of people in comparison that are going to get the benefit. So I guess the VR2 stuff is just way down in the priority list. Don´t forget that only a small portion of players have a wheel and, from those, even a smaller fraction have a rig or a VR2 set.
Nailed it also love the idea of watching replays from Grandstands and watching the world series in VR would be so cool and atmospheric too... Polyphony has enough options to really expand vr and make gt7 vr racing the best on the market
Great informative video dude! I just purchased a PSVR2 last week and am interested in mostly driving, flying or FPS. Thanks for your honest review. Peace Out!
Great points. Some points I didn’t even notice. Honestly, Sony as a whole seems to have abandoned PSVR2. I actually bought GT7, my first GT game, because I wanted a good VR game. It is just amazing in VR, but I’ve played the game on the tv 99% of the time.
Totally agree. There is so much potential with psvr2. Showroom is Great but there should be options to also start the car and able to rev it. Think about doing this in a virtual car meet! Would be awesome!
Totally agree, I miss the map in multiplayer as you can see when folks put. It would be ok in ACC because the pit guy tells you what’s going on. To be fair Sony has let everyone down with PSVR2, the lack of support, lack of AAA games, lack of updates for AAA PSVR titles. It’s got all the feeling of Sega towards the end of Hardware development. Bringing out kit & then not supporting it.
@GT7 Devs! 100% on many points. Especially the head movement, imagine catching eyes with someone in a battle in VR. Would be epic! Thanks for this video and let us know how we can help get some things changed. I've been complaining about split times and flags. Split times are so important for racing competitively because it lets you know how risky you should be or complacent you should be. I have found he lack of flag warnings can bite you in VR because flags are only present at certain places on the track and if there is a pileup, you might not be able to see the flag from where you are on the track in a heated moment. Everyone else gets the flag notification. I can see all of these things being a part of a VR only multiplayer scenario but not in a mixed lobby, it makes it unbalanced. I simply like the VR experience and exclusively play multiplayer so my rankings have plummeted from having a constant disadvantage. Also a HUGE advantage would be to have the ability to have a few rig steering wheels loaded into GT7 because when you have the headset on you cannot see where the buttons are on your wheel. It would be nice to have your wheel in your car. I know its unrealistic for daily driver cars but not so much for race cars, you would have your own choice of wheel in your racecar.
The only thing I want is the race info (laps remaining/done) without having to have it in the top middle of the display. I don’t like having it switched on as it ruins the immersion. I want it somewhere else, like where the fuel gauge and tyre wear info is. I like doing custom long races with pit stops for tyres and fuel but end up switching off the race info so it’s not stuck in the middle of the display but then you don’t know when the best time to go flat out in the fasted map or save fuel if you can’t see the info
100% agree with head tracking, VR meet up spaces and VR only lobbies. Of course most of us would be at a disadvantage racing in VR against a flat screen player because most of us aren't actually professional race car drivers and that's kinda what makes it so great. I bet if you put a professional into a race in VR they'd be able to beat a flat screen player. Plus VR only lobbies would fix this because if someone beats you they're just a better driver basically. I will only ever play GT7 in VR because playing it normal is just boring and dull now. Also there's three more small things I'd like for them to change that's always bugged me. First is to get rid of that virtual grid that pops up if your head moves a little too much. It just messes me up all the time and is an absolute immersion breaker. the fact that it even does it when you're in the showroom is also pretty stupid. The second thing is to be able to put the top down/up if you're in a convertible. Third is simply to be able to open the car door when you're in the showroom before getting in the car.
Abandoning psvr2 would be like what Frontier Did with elite dangerous. They literally released a game changing update that you cannot even play in VR. So long as GT7 works in VR I wouldnt say its abandoned. But i do agree with his wish list.
I always use VR2 when driving in GT7, and there is one bug you did not mention: the banking bug! Go to Daytona, take on your VR and you will see, you are always sitting in 90 degrees to the horizon instead of 90 degrees to your car. That occurs everywhere where banking exists, but at Daytona it is most obvious. Some people told me "it's not a bug, it's a feature", but for me it makes those tracks much less attractive to drive. It just feels wrong.
Agreed. I actually need to tilt my head to make it feel right when going around them. but because I sometimes move my head too close to the window that stupid grid twill pop up and mess it up.
Question for psvr2 users, I know not every race is in a gr 1/2/3/4 car, but for the split times etc, don't many Gr cars have that info on the digital dash?
kir what car are you driving at 5:27 I don't recognize it. It's obviously open wheel. I just ordered a PS VR two headset. I have great pedals and a great wheel. I don't think I have any any issues with seeing also also, do you think they're going to address these issues or are they going to drop this headset? I've heard opposing stories about the headset selling like hotcakes and not selling worth a damn what's the the true thing could you inform us?
Abondoning it’s a licensor title but I agree on some points and it most likely would be so easy for Polyphony to add these UI features for the VR mode. Hopefully we get it someday.
Man, the amount of people coping in the comments is staggering. People just cannot accept the reality. It's sad. "I like it" doesn't mean the points mentioned in the video aren't true.
After psvr for GT7 it’s the only way I can play any racing game. Flat screen just don’t cut it no more. Also got Logitech pro wheel and pedals. It’s ultra fun!
PSVR2 is the only reason I continue playing GT7. I enjoy both the single player mode and Sport mode with a Logitech Pro DD and load cell pedals and the experience is phenomenal.
GT7 in VR is great indeed but PD won’t add anything related to that. From what I understand PD had Sony involved to program all the VR stuff. They don’t have the capabilities right now. It’s absurd that they didn’t fixed the positions for some cars after all this time - but this gives you the idea of their capabilities. Taka as it is or leave it (I’m in the process of leaving it for PCVR, cause I’m tired of blurry video quality, small fov and no support to the GT7 VR)
All of those things are really not a problem for me…. But seat positioning is absolutely mind boggling to me. The most no brainer thing that you would just assume a SIMULATOR would have on day one. Some cockpits and seats are just not positioned properly and it feels like your steering wheel is either way too close or way to far.
OMG, its so bad at the edges of the screen! I hate how PSVR2 requires me to turn my head to see things clearly in my peripherals. There is no setting that can save the fresnel lenses. Maybe giving me a larger field of view? It's not an option though.
Not really, he's talking about how they abandoned working hard on psvr2, and about what they can do better. They abandoned it instead of getting it right they were 75% done the job but stopped adding to it, so they did abandon it. Not trying to be rude
@@jtm7336 Exactly. "Abandoned" implies no longer supporting it, no longer being available, etc. His suggestions were all excellent and I agree 100%, but misleading clickbait titles do irritate me. I did like the video though, so victimless crime, I suppose? lol.
What VR headsets can I use with gt7, I'm on ps5 and I want one for realistic drifting, I also want a pretty cheap but sturdy sim rig and a drifting handbrake( I have a thrustmaster t248 but I'll upgrade in a couple years). Do you have any ideas for me, I really appreciate any help I get.😊
@@smerplederple4144 - Only PSVR2 can deliver GT7 to you, and it’s worth it for that alone. If you already own a PS5 then it’s sort of the obvious low-budget choice for PC-quality gaming anyhow.
I wish they would give us widescreen support. Then all we need is a dedicated driving Sim monitor, with a bit more curve than is currently on the market
I would like to have mirrors I can use in all cars for vr. Some of the cars have no rear view mirror and tiny wing mirrors putting var users at a massive disadvantage. I even drove one car that had wing cameras with no video feed inside so I could see nothing behind me.
Keep going with your suggestions Kireth. I agree with you totally. Hopefully gt7 will listen. One more point about safety rating in public lobbies to stop dirty drivers, and keep every1 honest. Ive noticed alot less users racing there due to rammers.. Something similar to acc could work. What do you think? Can it be done?
Would be good to have an AI pit crew radioing info. Tyre wear, time splits/ position laps remaining, fuel level reminders, weather prompts etc. Level of info could be dependent on era or class of cars
One issue I've had with my PSVR2 occurred after months of using it. I noticed one day that the steering wheel and the arms have lower FPS than the rest of the world, which makes it really annoying to see. Imagine everything you see is 120FPS all around you, and then the steering wheel and arms are at like 30-50FPS. You can really notice a difference, and it can get really bad to the point where I get pissed off and stop playing. There's times where I also the steering and arms would just stop moving?? I'd be taking a corner, and then exiting the corner the steering would appear frozen for a second or two, even though I am turning my steering wheel and the car turning too. Overall, I still love playing with it, but it can get so annoying!!
@@olivierlachance7374 - I’m pretty certain that you literally cannot have 120Hz and 30-50Hz on the same display at the same time. It’s one or it’s the other. In GT7 it’s a stable 60 fps reprojected to 120 fps at all times. Your description of the wheel locking is confusing, but I do wonder if it’s consistent for you in all vehicles. Steering can be broken in some cars by modification settings, so the front tires collide with the wheel wells if they are too fat and the car is too low (how crazy is that?!). This can lead to the sort of issue you’ve described. I believe there might even be a model or two that is messed up in this way from the start (necessitating immediate adjustment). I don’t recall the make or model, but think I saw this on a Reddit post. For this reason, I would suggest testing others in your stable to see if they handle any better. The fix might be as simple as tire swap or suspension adjustment. It might also be worth driving in flatscreen to see if you encounter the same trouble. Best of luck to you!
I love gt7 on psvr2 and think I can play it another 1000 hours without any updates for the vr, every time there is a car or a track its still a update for vr anyway.
I just added a Dof Reality motion simulator with a SRS fan kit to my psvr2 with a b haptics x 40 vest. Yeah it’s one of the best racers in vr. Amazing experience and one of the best vr games out there. This guy is whining about nothing. If your concern is being able to rev the engine in showroom mode, then you need to move on, nothing will please you.
It's really odd that in 2024 game houses are still releasing partially developed software, hardware and features - I get the drip feed thing (and dislike it), but things like this make it seem like they released a test feature, people like it and then Sony/PD are like 'ah, that'll do - next!'...
1:10 was not added as a post release patch 🙄🤦♂️ The game was built for PSVR2, but those features were locked and being finalised after the launch of the main game.
It's not "abandon" more like forget or neglect. Given what we have --incredible as it is-- represents raw, native, day of release stuff, it is fantastic. This game has sold PSVR2..in fact it is PSVR2!
I actually feel like a lot of the game looks pixilated. I want less horizon graphics and more of the systems power to go into what's on the track and shoulder. Id love if they added road debris coming up from cars. That would bring VR to the next level.
i got issue using PSVR2 which i dont know the speed that currently I driving the car unless the car got tachometer digital which most of the car i driving was the old car with analog tachometer
4:35 "Seeing guy looking in the mirror"... Entire cars few meters away are turning into blurred blob and he wants to see eyes in mirror reflections 🤣🤣🤣
My biggest concern is Sony abandoning psvr2 all together. I keep hearing that they are canceling a lot of the games that were in development for it due to it not selling well. They have chocked it up as a loss. I fear the next gt8 wo t support it. That will be a huge loss if that's the case. I almost get no enjoyment out of not playing with vr these days. I almost need it to be fulfilled lol.
Sony seems to already gave up on PSVR2. I cannot see GT7 adding more features to please the people who already bought PSVR2. I own PSVR2 but it is collecting dust now. It would be nice if Sony put some effort to sell more PSVR2 then Polyphony Digital may come up with some updates
You mean, in the same way they have abandoned the daily races? I had a PSVR2 and returned it. The reason is that you don’t get leaderboard info in races. Also, the outside view is a touch too fuzzy for me.
I want the option to add a Tacho Gauge for shifting, in cars that you have modified past the point of factory settings, & to know what my speed is, for the same reason.....
When Sony abandons a product they don’t look back. For many many years. See how long PS Portal took between last PSP/Vita, PS VR1 etc. My biggest gripe is the rendered visuals in videos like yours look nothing close to it when wearing the VR2. For first few races loved it bc it was new but quickly was annoyed with lack of high fidelity visuals. Forget what they call it but looks like I’m peering through mesh screen door.
You said you dont know why gt7 psvr2 is not updated could it be they dont want us playing in vr competitive as if we had the right info we could win most races then their flat screen base would either give up or complain about not being able to be as competitive as psvr2 without buying one , just my thoughts
It would promote people purchasing VR2 if there was any advantage. I'd say for the money I dropped, fairness would be expected, an advantage would be nice, but not a disadvantage.
You only lose competitive advantage for a short time, once used to it it’s better, simple as. Takes it from a game to a…..something more realistic. Their real problem is the game doesn’t actually know what it is and at the moment it’s as stale as 3 week old bread Alternatively Acc is absolutely smashing it presently
I only play it in VR, no way will I do back to the flat mode. In VR can judge corners as well, so find it opposite to you, find it far better competively
It’s the only way I play the game and I just want a hud update. Everything else including the ability to plug and play in no time is leaps beyond what you get in other games.
I'm confused. I am 4 1/2 minutes into this video. Has PSVR2 been disabled for Gran Torismo 7? I considering getting it when it's discounted and this will be a huge negative for me
sorry about the multiple comments. I should've done this in one so I believe because of the pandemic and the lack of Sony being able to ship enough PS fives that the Gran Turismo we got being delayed year was not the Gran Turismo. They showed us that original Gran Turismo seven is sitting on a shelf at Pany digital and will be called Gran Turismo eight do you think that some of these features will be included in that version remember they told us it would be a PS five exclusive I don't believe they would disassemble a complete game but instead they gave us a prologue version at pikes Peak in 2024 every car had Gran Turismo stickers on the window, but we didn't get pikes Peak in Gran Turismo seven it doesn't make any sense whatsoever. What's your opinion on this and do you believe that we were sold a fake gt7 game in a fraudulent manner?
100% spot on... literally did nothing for vr since the initial release.
Not even quality of life features.
Needs
Vr only lobbies ( even if you have to wait to que)
Needs to have fov adjustment. Many cars the seating positsion is wrong. So you have to sit in a certain position until vr kicks in.
How they do not allough you to adjust your position blows my mind. 😂
Need more driver info like you said.
Head tracking would be great. ( especially in vr lobbies)
Update to the visuals to improve clarity would be great ( although this might require ps5 pro)
I literally only use my psvr2 for gt7.
Bring the updates PD!

So much more potential, but I don’t wanna complain too hard, as it’s generally a fun experience. Made me buy a sim rig! Haha.
I just can't go back to a flat screen
It's the only way I play these days.
I think driving in VR with my Pro racing wheel set-up is so immersive and game-changing, so much so that I only play Gran turismo now, I can't remember the last time I played ACC or Assetto corsa, and this is 100% because they don't support VR on console.
I don't care that I am most likely slower than I was when using my tv... I feel faster and more in control somehow 😅
Having fun is sll that matters
Since I’m playing Gt7 with Psvr2 there’s no return to monitor mode for me! The feeling with all these different cockpits and the overall immersion in combination with a rig/wheel is absolutely fantastic - I hope PD are going to realize the massive potential and will continue improving… thanks for the report Kireth 👍
Clickbait vr2 takes the game to the next level.
Dropped as a child? Maybe listen to what he actually says. Then come back and edit your comment. 😂

PSVR2 in GT7 is a total game changer, I've had PSVR since launch and I no longer play GT7 2D, the VR is _so good_
VR is the only way I enjoy playing GT7....
It's the best way to cruise!

You'd knew what is he talking about if you watched the video.
I love PSVR 2, but its really need an update.
ITS TIME
@@Nukeaonthat's for Sony marketing though.
Very good points. Pc VR is still a pain, but glorious when you get it going. However, the plug and play of PSVR2 is compelling.
Also the view should bank with the car in the turns. When you go around a high banked turn, the VR view stays up and down and does not lean with the car, really takes you out of the experience.
It should be an option for people who want it however it will absolutely WRECK most people’s stomach lol
Drive club VR did an excellent job of giving a sense of elevation and GT7 feels completely flat.
i believe you can change the wobble type for it somewhere in the settings
bro i hope they add all these ideas in gt7 if not then gt8
Any source where they say they "abandon" PSVR2?
it’s trust me bro
In the game, there hasn't been an update in a long time
@001sander2 but the fact that there hasn't been an update for PSVR2 for GT7 for a long time doesn't necessarily mean they abandoned it.
@@-never-gonna-give-you-up- "doesn't necessarily mean they abandoned it"
Stop coping.
Nice misleading click-bait thumbnail title. Well done, you got me.
GREAT suggestions, but bogus subject. Do better.
Why can't we have an option to adjust the seat height and position in VR? Ok, there is a way to hack it, but it's really annoying how it resets after a pit stop
Crazy this
You do, look at your knees before you get thrown in to VR.
Great point! I find myself. Moving my body way up or slouching down and setting the camera to manipulate the seat height with the camera view.
Fingers crossed!
Bud... You have become a negative Nanny... Please go back to being happy and fun
This would be amazing!
It’s the only way I race 😎 But yeah, it would be nice with some better hud options for competitiveness.
And if PS5 pro will be able to run 90 native would be amazing 😏
Having said that, I just want PD to undo the FB cap on my DD wheel, so I can use the NM I’ve paid for 😕
And I’m getting so impatient waiting for a Logitech Pro shifter 😫
Peace Out!
Peace bro!
I thought this was clickbait, but you made some valid points. There are pros and cons to everything and theae were some valid points and ideas.
Thanks! There's a strict no clickbait rule on this channel, just interesting videos!
Great ideas with the VR meets and spectator stuff. GT7 is on par with best VR experiences of all time. They should double down.
Fingers crossed!
Thanks!
100%%% agree - so much potential here and it makes me really hopeful for the future. Maybe there will be a HUGE patch which fixes everything one day?
I'd take a PSVR2 only patch!
Good video Kireth, it would be nice to be able to see the + and - seconds/driver list in the Hud.
100% - every PSVR2 GT7 player knows this!
We need a spotter!
Great points. I’ve been saying the same thing about not being able to see your additional HUD info with the psvr2.
Kinda crazy they didn't add this
Liking this because we need more people bringing this issue up. Need more VR features
Sometimes I feel I'm the only one pushing for these changes!
Use the grand stands, towers and helicopter/blimp views for vr, not just trackside in replays, perhaps even an in car view for the more adventurous.
Abandoning psvr2 would be like what Frontier Did with elite dangerous.
They literally released a game changing update that you cannot even play in VR.
So long as GT7 works in VR I wouldnt say its abandoned.
But i do agree with his wish list.
VR2 is the only way I play. I do everything flat screen, but once it's race time the VR goes on. I can't even drive flat screen anymore.
Causes a complete lack of elevation change. One of my few complaints about GT7 VR
Well said! Can't believe they never added exclusive vr online races
Taka as it is or leave it (I’m in the process of leaving it for PCVR, cause I’m tired of blurry video quality, small fov and no support to the GT7 VR)
do you know if the PS VR two works with the fanatec CSL elite ?
All of those things are really not a problem for me…. But seat positioning is absolutely mind boggling to me. The most no brainer thing that you would just assume a SIMULATOR would have on day one. Some cockpits and seats are just not positioned properly and it feels like your steering wheel is either way too close or way to far.
The most terrible thing is that blurry vision with the PSVR2. I strongly regret buying that stuff.
OMG, its so bad at the edges of the screen! I hate how PSVR2 requires me to turn my head to see things clearly in my peripherals. There is no setting that can save the fresnel lenses. Maybe giving me a larger field of view? It's not an option though.
Sorry but the title is misleading.
You're correct, Gran Turismo has added many PSVR2 updates and improvements since launch 👍
Not really, he's talking about how they abandoned working hard on psvr2, and about what they can do better. They abandoned it instead of getting it right they were 75% done the job but stopped adding to it, so they did abandon it. Not trying to be rude
@@smerplederple4144 Improving it further and abandoning it are totally different. I only play it in vr and love it like many others.

Do you have any ideas for me, I really appreciate any help I get.😊
It's a choice of one brother
@@smerplederple4144 - Only PSVR2 can deliver GT7 to you, and it’s worth it for that alone.
If you already own a PS5 then it’s sort of the obvious low-budget choice for PC-quality gaming anyhow.
It would be awesome if they setup the screen while in VR to show data for a race engineer that a friend could use to help you.
100 % agree they should implement Vr lobby
I'd be there!
Thanks! You can set safety rating minimums in lobbies!
Its the opposite for me, the hands n hood is clear. Track looks very blurry.
They need to do what F1 and Assetto Corsa Competizone does and have a VA or AI to make the callouts.
did they update the game with your feature requests yet?
Possibly the best vr game ever, and it's getting better each update.
1:10 was not added as a post release patch 🙄🤦♂️
The game was built for PSVR2, but those features were locked and being finalised after the launch of the main game.
It's not "abandon" more like forget or neglect. Given what we have --incredible as it is-- represents raw, native, day of release stuff, it is fantastic. This game has sold PSVR2..in fact it is PSVR2!
I really enjoy GT7 in VR, but the dirt races look awful in VR (the dust from the tires looks so pixelated)… everything else is amazing.
For me, VR2 elevates the game above all other console racing games. It was worth the $500 just for GT7. I play it every day.
4:35 "Seeing guy looking in the mirror"... Entire cars few meters away are turning into blurred blob and he wants to see eyes in mirror reflections 🤣🤣🤣
I can say I have played carts with a friend in Multiplayer VR and if you could see the helmets turning to look at each other it would be epic!
If that is the case I will be going to pc for racing
@@jaimemccomsey478 same for me
Sony seems to already gave up on PSVR2.
In fairness to Polyphony, I imagine they've abandoned it because for the most part it seems Sony has
I want the option to add a Tacho Gauge for shifting, in cars that you have modified past the point of factory settings, & to know what my speed is, for the same reason.....
whats your source? what makes you say this?
I've never once looked at my feet while I drive. In real life or in the sim. Keep your eyes on the road
Psvr2 price is a big barrier to entry i would think. Maybe not enough people using it for PD to put resources for updates.
At this point any update would be welcome. Even with this month's big release there is nothing re PSVR2.
You'd think they'd add little things every so often
When Sony abandons a product they don’t look back. For many many years. See how long PS Portal took between last PSP/Vita, PS VR1 etc.
My biggest gripe is the rendered visuals in videos like yours look nothing close to it when wearing the VR2. For first few races loved it bc it was new but quickly was annoyed with lack of high fidelity visuals. Forget what they call it but looks like I’m peering through mesh screen door.
I'd love team racing and a coop race experience with a spotter or just a npc spotter like crew chief
Gt should also let you add a ps friend into the arcade in game races where driver rating isn't a factor
You said you dont know why gt7 psvr2 is not updated could it be they dont want us playing in vr competitive as if we had the right info we could win most races then their flat screen base would either give up or complain about not being able to be as competitive as psvr2 without buying one , just my thoughts
True dat
It would promote people purchasing VR2 if there was any advantage. I'd say for the money I dropped, fairness would be expected, an advantage would be nice, but not a disadvantage.
What a click bait title. My heart dropped for a second.
Just add the time distance to other drivers and a spotter to advise you on other cars positions
GT7 + VR2 give you the best driving experience in VR, but it’s don’t make you faster. Because human make mistakes in more real environment.
You only lose competitive advantage for a short time, once used to it it’s better, simple as. Takes it from a game to a…..something more realistic.
Their real problem is the game doesn’t actually know what it is and at the moment it’s as stale as 3 week old bread
Alternatively Acc is absolutely smashing it presently
Agreed re competiteness: the loss of 'crucial ' deltas etc actually causes me to focus more on driving and pay attention to relative car position
Are they waiting to implement the psvr2 improvements, for the ps5 pro?
I only play it in VR, no way will I do back to the flat mode. In VR can judge corners as well, so find it opposite to you, find it far better competively
I think PD should charge and offer a expansion pack as someone needs to be paid to work on the game, happy to pay for more contact for this game
ew
I love VR2, but I've been waiting for them to implement the brake gauge in it for ever, among other things
It’s the only way I play the game and I just want a hud update. Everything else including the ability to plug and play in no time is leaps beyond what you get in other games.
So I must have missed the part where he talks about the reason Sony "abandoned" PSVR2 ...
I'm confused. I am 4 1/2 minutes into this video. Has PSVR2 been disabled for Gran Torismo 7? I considering getting it when it's discounted and this will be a huge negative for me
No, and it won't be disabled. Kireth would just like features updated.
Hello PSVR2 has not been disabled!
Kireth you should reach out to T1NZLE the fastest guy in VR2 or Mosckafy and have them on your podcast about PSVR2. VR2 is the only way to play GT7
sorry about the multiple comments.
Disadvantage? No hud? MANnnn you have your mirrors and full left right view
