I was also harshly disappointed at the beginning regarding the muraeffect. Then I set the screen brightness to 50% and it was much better but still there. Then I noticed that it was suddenly extremely sharp and it was because I was closer to the lens and the eye tracking worked perfectly.
Took the plunge, and bought psvr 2, its my first go with vr. Headset arrived a few days ago. Initial impressions, seems well built, nice and light, not too heavy on the head at all really, took around 5 to 10 mins to set up so that was good. Gt7 would be my first try, and I will say this, it is a level of immersion I had no idea existed and I simply wasn't prepared for. I do not understand what I was looking it. The sense of speed, immersion, elevation changes, depth of field. I guess I got lucky right of the bat with clarity, I actually couldn't believe how clear the game looked. I will however have a look at changing one or 2 of these settings to see if I can get it even better looking. I figured it would be a nice 3d touch me and my son could enjoy from time to time, I was dead, dead wrong.
Ah, that is awesome, man 😃👌 I'm delighted to hear that! I'm sure you and your son are going to be fighting over who's turn it is next! 😅 no doubt your son will get the final say 👌
Coming from psvr1 i am blown away with the upgrade in visuals in the psvr2. With that being said, i will definitely give these settings a try. I am loving GT7 in vr!! Great video and thanks
Cheers man 🙂👊 I am loving GT7 too. Take a car to the special stage X in America and look at how high the camber is when you get to the turns! It's crazy 🤯
Ah, thanks a million. I appreciate that, my friend 🙂👊 That's interesting about the improved quality when there are no other cars on track. Makes sense though. I'll have to check that out 👌
Yeh, that is cool. It's like a roller coaster in that view! The VR replays are cool too. I don't know if you have tried them. After you do a race you skip by the 1st replay and find the option to view it in VR. Pretty cool spectating as the cars fly by 🙂👌
How do the steering wheel logos look for everyone? I can definitely see mine ok but it has a little blur, the speedometer is wayyy clearer. It’s better and worse with some cars
Hi man, for me the speedometer and rev counter and all the gauges are very clear. It's the signs that tell the distance to the next bend where you really notice a blur. You are pretty much on top of the sign before you can read it, if you are in a fast car. Overall though, it looks great I think. You can really tell what every material is in the car. Vr is great craic. I hope you are enjoying it too 🙂👊
I'm new to PSVR2 and VR in general and was blown away by the immersion when I first tried this. Like some others though, I'm experiencing a lot of blurriness, mura and ghosting effects in the game. I have found the sweet spot, tried every tip I have read and nothing seems to make too much difference. The cockpit itself looks nice and sharp but a few car lengths in front and everything starts looks pretty bad to the point it's difficult to judge braking distances and so on at high speed. Going through tunnels and I can barely see anything at times , and was starting to wonder if I had a faulty headset. Is this normal for GT? I have only tried this game, Pavlov and Beat Saber so far. The latter of the two don't seem so bad so maybe it's just the game itself.
Hello, my friend. I think all current gen VR headsets struggle with keeping clarity on objects in the distance. I put out a video before saying how it is hard to make out makes and models of cars while inside the headset in GT7, unless you are right up on top of them. Also, it's very difficult to make out what's written on the distance boards approaching bends. You can't read them until you are right beside them, and by that time, it could be too late. Having said that, I do personally prefer to play GT7 in VR rather than on the flat screen. One of the biggest tips I could give to keep the image as sharp as possible is to have plenty of micro fibre lens cleaning cloths and clean the lens before and even during use. You would be surprised the difference that makes. All you need is the microfiber cloths for cleaning lenses. Don't use any cleaners, liquids, or anything other than the dry microfiber cloth as cleaning solutions, even water, and any cloths that aren't specifically for cleaning lenses may damage the headset and / or the lenses. After trying my psvr2, my friend decided to get it for himself, but he was disappointed with the image quality compared to mine. I haven't tried his yet but I need to bring my headset to him and try it on his ps5 to see if there is any difference. I just need to find the time to do it. My ps5 is the original day 1 release ps5 with disk reader & my mate has a slimline ps5. I thought the specs might be lower on the slimline one but seemingly the specs are the exact same. Can I ask what type of ps5 you have yourself?
@@footdownracing Thanks for the reply. I have some microfiber cloths here which I knew to use dry as I'd read the lenses were very easy to damage/scratch etc, but the cloths I'm using aren't lens specific ones so I'll grab some of those and see if that helps any further. Yeah my PS5 is a release day with the disc drive too. Maybe my expectations were just set too high, but after joining PSVR2 groups on Facebook and so on it seems not everyone has the same experience. Others saying they have just a tiny bit of mura effect and otherwise clear visuals...unless they are simply lying to themselves. Other games I've tried so far do not seem to be so bad mind you, (Beat Saber, Pavlov) but I'm still not sure if it's the game itself or maybe I've got a headset with a fault.
I reckon some people have experience with VR headsets and know what to expect of the tech at this time. Others like myself and maybe you, after seeing peoples reviews and looking at videos of recorded footage on youtube were expecting crystal clear visuals and a bigger leap forward from the original psvr. I have noticed clearer visuals in residential evil village compared to GT7. I think it's just the nature of the GT7. There's a lot going on and it's very fast paced. I hope the microfiber cloths can enhance your experience with it even further 🙂👊 @TranceClassicsOfficial
@footdownracing the quality looks great to me on my phone. I’ve played a VR game and that alone is fantastic. I’m sure you’re loving the in-depth feel so kudos to you for sharing the experience with us. Twisty Nordschlife is exactly the track that VR enhances this game. Thx for the vid.
Yeh, the Nordschlife is a savage track. It's definitely one of my favourites. The immersion with the vr headset is amazing. Makes the cars and tracks feel more alive. Cheers man 🙂👊
people forget that GT7 is very demanding game and it doesn't run in 4K in VR... you might think something is "blurry" but it might actually be just low res graphic on high res display panel... it's like watching 720p video on 1440p display
Gt7 is a very demanding game. You are 100% right there. It might not be even close to 4k inside the headset but it is still a really cool experience to be had, in my opinion. As long as people know this before they make the purchase, I think they will be happy with it 🙂👊
I am so pissed they're not going to remaster input Resident Evil 7 Biohazard on psvr 2. I'm having a hell of a time with Village so I can't complain much, but I think biohazard was a better game and with the Leaps and Bounds jump with this headset I think it would be a new experience
Yeh, Resident Evil 7 Biohazard was awesome on the original PSVR. You would imagine it wouldn't be too hard to remaster for psvr2, seeing as it was already available in vr 🤔 They will definitely be doing a new Resident Evil game for psvr2. I'm sure they are already in the process of making it 👌 Imagine Resident Evil 2 in VR. That would be unreal! 😃 I agree with you. You can't beat a good horror experience in VR. Good Times ahead, my friend 🙂👊
Yeah it's absolutely crazy if they don't. I deliberately haven't replayed it since launch in the hope i could play it one day in VR (but chose to skip psvr1)... also gutted that Skyrim isn't either - and chances of that coming to psvr2 now are obviously very low 😆
A lot or reviewers are saying it's 4K, I guess they are adding up both the displays but forgetting that a 4k screen is seen by both eyes... That's 8 megapixel where PSVR2 is 4 megapixel
Yeh, which is quite misleading for anyone who hasn't checked the actual specs of the headset. I still think it is pretty cool, but I'm a big fan of VR in fairness. But people should be aware that the resolution inside the headset is nowhere near as clear as the recorded footage shown on videos. I think if you buy it knowing that, you won't be dissapointed. If you buy it thinking its 4k quality, then you will be disappointed 👊
Your kinda right, but also wrong. Sony's panels are an odd ball. They are actually over 2k per eye if you remember 2k is 1440p. And you have overlap of the images per eye, ie each eye sees a slightly different picture. So correct, it's not 4k but it's way more pixels than 2k. 🤯 Kinda complicated which might be why sony and others just add them together to make it sound better 😆
@AARONS REFRIGERATION All that technical jargon definitely goes straight over my head 😅👊 The best way to understand what it's like is to try it out yourself. Reading Specs never tells the full story
@AARONS REFRIGERATION yeh, I'm nearly sure they did that with the original psvr, but I dont think that will happen now with all this covid shit. The world is a different place now for the worse, unfortunately
Sorry, pal, I never got a notification about your comment!! Damn TH-cam! I just happened to see it be chance! Yeh, this is a really cool car to drive on any track. It's not crazy powerful, but it's not terribly slow either. It strikes a nice balance, and It has great handling. You do still need to be careful if you have TC off because it can bite you 😅 Thanks for the comment, my friend 🙂👊
Hi man. The PSVR2 isn't as clear as what you see recorded on people's channels compared to what you see inside the headset. One of the biggest tips I can give you is to get yourself microfiber cloths specifically for cleaning lenses. They make the world of difference. Make sure to just rub the lens gently with the dry microfiber cloth each time you use it. There has been many updates improving the clarity since I made this video and the PS5 Pro makes the biggest difference. It gets rid of the double vision of the cars and people as you look to the side. I hope these tips can help improve your experience with it. Happy Racing my friend 🙂👊
Ah that's cool man. You are a VR veteran at this stage so 👌I think they are working on the AI in GT7. The new SOPHIE AI is actually pretty good. So they are getting there
@bullshark1152 yeh, super gt has a video of him trying to beat a time Sophie did and he didn't manage to beat it. I did a challenge race against it too and I could only beat it, if I got out in front of it on the 1st corner, otherwise it slaughtered me 😅. It doesn't Ram you either which is nice 🙂👌
I haven’t been able to get up to my normal race speed in it because I need to keep a sick bucket 🪣 handy at all times! 🤣 The immersion in GT7 is outstanding but the elevation changes really get me big time. Respect for driving that quick in VR … without a bucket! 🤮 🤣👍
Oh man, that's shit! I think some people are just cursed with motion sickness being an issue in VR. I was blessed with having no issues at all with it. I even tried to make myself sick by doing doughnuts for ages. I got more dizzy than sick 😅 I'm after getting the PS5 pro, and there is a definite increase in clarity and performance on GT7, and there hasn't even been an update yet optimising it for the pro! I can put the brightness up fully, and the screen door/ mesh effect is nearly gone. It is still there if you look for it, but it's night and day compared to the standard ps5. It definitely raises the bar for immersion compared to the standard ps5. They say you can build up your tolerance for VR if you do suffer from motion sickness. Just do really short stints, take off the headset, and return to it again after a while. Slowly try and increase the time you can stay in the headset before you start to feel sick. It might take time, but it would be worth it if you could build up your tolerance. I hope you can get used to the headset without feeling sick. Happy Racing, my friend, and thanks for the comment 🙂👊
@ yeah I’m trying to increase my VR time slowly. I can get away with stabbing zombies in the face in The Walking Dead for 30 minutes at a time now so I’ve always got that as a back up plan if GT7 doesn’t work out! 🤣👍 I was wondering about the pro, it’s supposed to make a big change on GT7 from a review I read before it was released. It was written by a reviewer that wasn’t a car nut .. like us 🤣 … but he definitely said there was a marked difference between std and pro pS5. Take care bud 👍🚗😎
Thanks for the kind words 🙂👊 the car is the "Radical SR3 SL '13"...its a race car from the UK. Its a really cool car. Sounds nice, good handling. Its not overly fast, but not too slow either
Just as well, because I spun more times than a ballerina on that lap 😅 Your are 100% right, though. It's all about having the craic 👌 It is such an awesome experience in fairness 👊
just got my psvr 2 today started playing gt 7 and i must say its kind of not so clear it look like 1080 or less while racing inside head. dam i dont know if im doing something wrong i got my ipd set it dont look blurry when i see the avatar in cocpit but car ahead of me not seems so clear
It's a lot better now than it was on release. They have updated it a few times and it is definately sharper than it was. GT7 is quite a demanding game for VR. If there is a demo for Resident Evil Village, I would try that out. There is a big difference in clarity for different games. GT7 might not be perfectly clear but it is really cool if you give it a chance. Don't give up on it yet. They may be able to improve on the clarity with further updates. Enjoy the world of VR my friend. Lots of different games being released for us to enjoy now 🙂👊
@@footdownracing ok yes il try some other games and see how it look but i think i could get use to it later on. but first impression of gt 7 was so so. cos most of the reviews said it look just like on the tv but it dont lol
@Rinku Multani 👌 I agree 💯 with you! I made a 1st impressions honest opinion video on the psvr2 and I warned people that the clarity inside the headset was overhyped by reviewers. It should have been stated clearly that the recorded footage that people saw on screen was much better quality than what you see when you are inside the headset 👍 It is still awesome fun but I think people should be aware of this so that they aren't dissapointed when they finally get their headset
That and the fact that I'm shit 😅👌.....believe it or not, though if you don't wear the gloves with alacantra steering wheel, it ruins the alcantra material. It flattens it and make it real smooth.
I can not get the eye tracking working. It works fine in the setup of it, but in-game, I have to move my head to get a sharp image of what I’m looking at. Just moving my eyes does nothing.
@@footdownracing In VR I have to move my head down a notch to have the dashboard sharp, when looking at the road ahead. Just moving my eyes does nothing. Don’t understand why🤷🏻♂️
@MadsHilde Probably a stupid question, but have you gone through the lens adjustment and headset position adjustment? I find that if you pull the back of the headset down and tighten it lower under your skull, you can get the best focus with the lens. You may need to adjust the headset from side to side aswel as it might feel like it's on right but may be slightly askew. Hope this helps you out 👊
@@footdownracing That is exactly what I found, too. The lower position of the strap. And I can get a very clear image, but things in outer edges of the glasses are still blurry when I move my eyes to look at them. When I move my head, everything sharpens in the middle of the screen.
Mate, IF you can complete Thumper vr I will buy a hat and eat it. (Probably a chocolate one) I bought it on switch, few years ago and got to level 4 and could not get past it. I upgraded my PS4 version to psvr2 and im back at level 4 and boy is it difficult BUT it’s a bloody brilliant beautiful game, in 2d but in psvr2 it’s that but more special. You see what you say about spacial awareness in gt7 being easier to judge, in psvr2. I think I get what you mean. I’ve not played gt7 yet, still on the fence but in thumper vrr deff seems easier to thump down on that last hit that shoots at the boss. I seemed to judge it wrong on tv and miss it a lot but in vr, it’s much easier. Makes sense I guess as im actually the space beatle and im physically going over that flashing icon.
😅👌I forgot how difficult Thumper gets! I'm either on level 5 or 6 now. I'll try and complete a bit more of it today if I get a chance, actually. I was using the toggle stick to change lanes but I found sometimes it flicked back into the lane I was just in, so I tried the d-pad to move left and right instead and it's much more accurate. It is such a simple idea, but top quality game. I might put a video up of me beating the last boss(if I ever get that far) 😅👊
Hi, you probably have the headset as good as it can be. The track and road signs aren't crystal clear. I would say the best thing to reduce the mura effect is reducing the headsets brightness as shown in this video. Hope this helps you out 🙂👊
@@footdownracing hello thank you, my headset has grainy mura so in darker areas it's more noticeable, especially in Re village, and at night in kayaking, anyway I'll try your settings, I have just started watching your videos, I haven't seen you on you tube before, I love your videos, I'm from the UK but living in Panama, vr is not reckonised here, regards
@phil lea No worries, man, and thank you for the kind words. I'm glad you are enjoying the videos 🙂👍 The grainyness is definitely there for me also with the psvr2. Maybe future updates or the power of the ps5 pro, when it's released, will improve the image clarity inside the headset. I would say Panama is a beautiful place to live. Ireland is fairly similar but maybe worse for weather than the UK. We seem to be living in a constant rainy cloud here in Ireland 😅
@@footdownracing ah thank you for the kind words, I'm from london, but my heart is in Ireland but as you said the weather is changeable, my son lives in Ireland with his beutiful Irish wife, regards Philip
@phil lea Ah very good🙂👍 I'm sure your son and his wife are wishing they were with you in Panama today because it hasn't stopped pouring out of the heavens all day here 😅 Happy Racing, my friend
If you want drive faster stop having your fingers on the shifter pedals all the time only touch them when shifting for the rest try focussing on the steering you have way more controll and sensative steering if you drive with all your fingers on the wheel
Thanks man. Who doesn't want to get faster 🙂👌 Any tips are greatly appreciated. It's probably a bad habit I just got into when using the paddle shifters. I will remember your comment now whenever I'm using the paddle shifters and try to make a conscious effort to get those fingers off the shifters until I need to change gear 👊
Tbh, it was obvious that the graphics from the output of the PS5 was going to look sharper than those that are displayed through the lenses of the headset. Can't believe anyone really thought they were going to be a match.
Maybe not match the quality, but I thought it might be closer than it actually is. I suppose some people, including myself, jumped on the hype train. But it's still an awesome experience 🙂👊
Well from someone who hasnt played a VR or ps vr1 its easy for to have not understand that there was gonna be a difference so alot of people came off disappointed at first like myself but finally came around to its reality
@Terrence Joseph exactly my man 🙂👌 Not everyone has the knowledge of where VR tech stands. We are living in the age of 4k quality tvs, and one would be forgiven for thinking that VR was up to the same standard, especially listening to some of the pre-release reviews. I'm glad you have overcome your initial disappointment, and you are now able to enjoy it for what it is and what it can do now 🙂👊
when it comes to clarity it's mainly the fact that you view a 4k tv from a distance even when close up whereas this is strapped to your face for 110 degrees of vision not to mention the subpixel count on the psvr2. I still think part of it's the early reviewers hyping it up way too much, after a while I'd forgotten about it and honestly I'm just stunned how good it looks on its own, especially compared to all my prior vr experiences
It removes a lot of the mura effect, which in turn makes the image clearer. The signs are always going to be blurry in the distance, unfortunately. I think the clarity of the headset was greatly improved after the March update. You never know, it may improve further with future updates. I was dissapointed like you when I 1st tried out the psvr2 for myself, because all the reviewers were making it out to be mind blowingly clear. They should have stated that the recorded footage is nowhere near the quality inside the headset. But having said that, I recommend giving it a chance. It does give you an extra level of immersion that you can never get on the flat screen
@@footdownracing Don't get me wrong, I have never used my old PSVR as much as my PSVR2. It's a great device with many improvements over the predecessor. I just feel betrayed by Sony's marketing advertising the PSVR2 as 4K where it's at best comparable to 1080p quality. And GT7 looks more like 720p while driving, that's clearly not acceptable and needs to be called out
@Heimkineast I made a video warning people that the quality isn't as clear as what was advertised by pre-release reviewers. I think if people know that before they make the purchase, they won't be dissapointed 🙂
Check out some of the numerous videos out there on settings you can change up to stop this. VR used to make me really nauseous but now I don't notice it at all. Trust me though it will get better naturally but watch some of those videos and switch some stuff up and I guarantee it will help you. Also getting your feet wet in games like kayak or slower Pace games really help you adjust
I've heard a lot of people say they get motion sickness from VR. I'm lucky in that I never suffer from motion sickness. I could live inside a VR headset and never feel sick. People that do suffer say that if you play for a short while and take a rest and then gradually increase the time you spend playing, you can build up your tolerance for it, so don't despair pal 🙂👊
@footdownracing Yeah I've never suffered motion sickness befor ( well not as long as I can remember )but I think it might have something to do with my age (47)
@Ronin_ GThayc I doubt that pal! I think it's because the body thinks you should get a sensation of moving, but there is none. It messes with your brain and causes the nausea
Got a psvr2 ex marine Sgt had motion sickness to start which was embarrasing considering my former job bought a fan found sweet spot addicted to Pavlov love the killing house but glad I spent the money with updates it will improve and I've got all the major tittles switch back is a bit of a sickly games as in all that up and down wilst eliminating targets bought bk a lil motion sickness
@Billy Huddleston yeh man, a lot of people say they get motion sickness from it. Thank god I never suffer with motion sickness. A lot of cool experiences to be had had on VR for sure. To be honest I watch loads reviews watch loads replays .. bought the ps5. Ps vr2 thinking this was the quality I was going get . Feel totally rip off lol ..yeah still good but ps pro vr1 not that much difference in vr mode
Yeh, I found most of the people reviewing the psvr2 lead people to believe that the image quality inside the headset was the same as the recorded quality. It has actually been improved greatly since launch. They added patches and updates to improve it but when I got it at launch it was much worse. They have released a PC adapter for it now though, so that you can officially use it for the PC too. I haven't tried the adapter myself as I'm still waiting for mine to ship, but seemingly most of the reviews of it are praising it, but I'll judge that for myself when I get it. I hope you get past the initial dissapointment and are able to enjoy it my friend, as there are some great experiences to be had 🙂👊
I don't know if you are interested in any of the other games you can get for it, but I'm enjoying "Thumper" & and "Resident Evil Village" for it. GT7 is actually pretty cool, too, if you stick with it. The image quality might not be what we were led to believe by the pre release reviews but I am actually enjoying it no the less. If you can download some of the free demos and try them out, there might be something of interest to you 👊
Sorry man, never got notified about this message. I never played the quest 2 and I wasn't moaning about the PSVR2 but people need to know that the recorded footage you see is much clearer than what you see inside the headset. I love the PSVR2 headset and it has been improved with updates since launch and with the PS5 Pro it's now even better. Thanks for the comment and apologies again. TH-cam never notified me about it 👊
I think most people would follow the steps outlined when initially setting up the headset, though. It's true that you can fine tune the setup slightly if you run through the setup steps a few times. I'm sure there will be plenty of tips and tricks we can do to improve quality over time 🙂🤞
They are a lot of people out there who don't know how to read and they are a lot of people out there who have 20/10 Vision. I don't have 20/10 Vision I don't have 20/20 vision. So it's not really as noticeable for me
@@kiooo9 I don't know if you wear contact lenses or glasses but I have really really really bad eyes to the point where if they get much worse they don't even make contact strong enough. I spent $100 on prescription lenses that are built for the headset and my God is that made a difference
Foveated rendering isn't something the end user can switch on/off. It's up to the software developer if their game has it built in or not. In GT7 eye tracking isn't used in the 2D menus but is implemented in racing.
I was also harshly disappointed at the beginning regarding the muraeffect. Then I set the screen brightness to 50% and it was much better but still there. Then I noticed that it was suddenly extremely sharp and it was because I was closer to the lens and the eye tracking worked perfectly.
No doubt, it is a really cool experience to be had with the headset. Sense of immersion is awesome. I'm loving it now, too 🙂👊

I hope the microfiber cloths can enhance your experience with it even further 🙂👊
@TranceClassicsOfficial
As long as people know this before they make the purchase, I think they will be happy with it 🙂👊
Another effect is being close to the screen. Try going close to the TV on 4k content...graphics look shit when you're about an arms length away
@@ertugrulbae46 Not really as it's also compressed right down when compared to a large TV screen
Perhaps Capcom will surprise us. RE7 has been given a PS5 graphics update so VR2 shouldn't be a huge ask.
Yeah it's absolutely crazy if they don't. I deliberately haven't replayed it since launch in the hope i could play it one day in VR (but chose to skip psvr1)... also gutted that Skyrim isn't either - and chances of that coming to psvr2 now are obviously very low 😆
Don't forget to go into the main PlayStation settings turn off a 120 hertz on the PlayStation go into the VR headset serrings turn on the 120 hertz
This is just for cinematic mode. It doesn't change anything in vr mode
@@footdownracing I'm pretty sure it does
@DOC187able maybe I'm wrong, pal, but I read that only affects the refresh rate in cinematic mode. Don't quote me on that though 😅👊
Did you guys ever figure it out?
@@Haileyflower-b3l no it looks like the pros the way to go now
A lot or reviewers are saying it's 4K, I guess they are adding up both the displays but forgetting that a 4k screen is seen by both eyes...
🤯
Kinda complicated which might be why sony and others just add them together to make it sound better 😆
@AARONS REFRIGERATION All that technical jargon definitely goes straight over my head 😅👊
The best way to understand what it's like is to try it out yourself. Reading Specs never tells the full story
@Foot Down Racing 😂
That's spot on mate, they need to have demo units in the stores for people to try 👍
@AARONS REFRIGERATION yeh, I'm nearly sure they did that with the original psvr, but I dont think that will happen now with all this covid shit. The world is a different place now for the worse, unfortunately
some of those hills are crazy just played a session on my channel
Awesome 👌 Yeh the tracks look cool in vr with the hills and cambers 🙂👊
That is one of the most fun cars to drive at the Nordschleife due its smaller size and its fast enough to push the limits
Sorry, pal, I never got a notification about your comment!! Damn TH-cam! I just happened to see it be chance!
Yeh, this is a really cool car to drive on any track. It's not crazy powerful, but it's not terribly slow either. It strikes a nice balance, and It has great handling. You do still need to be careful if you have TC off because it can bite you 😅
Thanks for the comment, my friend 🙂👊
Definitely helped! Thanks
Ah, good stuff 👌 I'm glad it helped you out ,my friend 🙂👊
Nice Idea and Nice drive!
Cheers, my friend. Appreciate that 🙂👊
I just got my PS VR too. It’s pretty blurry. I gotta fix my settings. Hopefully, some of this I’m bout to watch Work .
Im playing VR on pc via a
OCULUS GO. And GT7 on an old 60hz TV.. so psvr2 ma be a total Upgrade for nie :D
Savage 🙂👌 Yeh GT7 is great on the psvr2
I’m a VR sim racer from the first hour. Gonna buy the PSVR2 set as well. Only drawback regarding GT7 is the really bad AI.
Ah that's cool man. You are a VR veteran at this stage so 👌I think they are working on the AI in GT7. The new SOPHIE AI is actually pretty good. So they are getting there
@@footdownracing ah ok, let's hope for a better AI in the near future. Found some info about this Sophie. Sounds promising 😁🤜👍
@@footdownracing nice nice. Very curious. Any ATA?
@@bullshark1152 I think they may have introduced it already. I'll have to actually check that out and let you know 🙂👊
I haven’t been able to get up to my normal race speed in it because I need to keep a sick bucket 🪣 handy at all times! 🤣
The immersion in GT7 is outstanding but the elevation changes really get me big time.
I got more dizzy than sick 😅
I'm after getting the PS5 pro, and there is a definite increase in clarity and performance on GT7, and there hasn't even been an update yet optimising it for the pro!
I was wondering about the pro, it’s supposed to make a big change on GT7 from a review I read before it was released. It was written by a reviewer that wasn’t a car nut .. like us 🤣 … but he definitely said there was a marked difference between std and pro pS5.
Take care bud 👍🚗😎
Hi, great video thanks. What car do you use please? Thanks
Thanks for the kind words 🙂👊 the car is the "Radical SR3 SL '13"...its a race car from the UK. Its a really cool car. Sounds nice, good handling. Its not overly fast, but not too slow either
@@footdownracing brilliant thanks 👍
@gBiggy no worried bud 🙂👊
You don't have to be the best racing driver to enjoy this great VR game. (I'm not 🤣)
No need to be excused for having fun mate 👍
Just as well, because I spun more times than a ballerina on that lap 😅 Your are 100% right, though. It's all about having the craic 👌 It is such an awesome experience in fairness 👊
💯 agreed. It’s nice just to enjoy playing a game without having to qualify for the best on the planet. Nothing is wrong with that either.
@Rooster Gee Racing exactly 🙂👌 As long as we are having fun ripping up the track as best we can, that's all that matters. Cheers, my man 👊
💯👍
Don't go lobbies my fun ends with them just turn into you on the straight for no reason so I play friends instead we race tough but fair
just got my psvr 2 today started playing gt 7 and i must say its kind of not so clear it look like 1080 or less while racing inside head.
dam i dont know if im doing something wrong i got my ipd set it dont look blurry when i see the avatar in cocpit but car ahead of me not seems so clear
@@footdownracing yes it was overhyped.
i just brought psvr 2 without bundle i hade gt 7 already. i might try to get resident evil today
Best looking gamin vr gt7 and resident evil village 👌
Yeh they are both really cool. The ps5 Pro makes them both way better too 🙂👌
The crashing's probably from wearing racing gloves while you sit in your room pretending to drive...lol
I find the same thing but only in cinematic mode, looking at writing near the outer part of the lens/ screen. I don't have any issues while in VR
Hello can you tell me what wheel you use, regards
I'm using the Fanatec CSL DD (I have it connected to the PS5 using the 'Drivehub' from Collective Minds 👍
Where did or how do you get hold of the head phones??
Hi man, they are the official Sony pulse 3D headset. They are a bit pricey, but they were made to work with the psvr headset
Hello can you help me when I see the track I can see a slight grainy mura, any ideas for me regards

@@footdownracing Yu,p have to agree with you on that.
How does this help with the poor resolution? It's a blurry mess with my PSVR2, I can't even read the speed sign in about 50m distance
@@footdownracing I knew this, but that it would be this bad wasn't to be expected with a so called 4K device
I don't really have a problem with how it looks ,my main problem is that it makes me feel sick as f#ck .
@Smokey TheBeast
That's awesome advise 👊
@footdownracing
Yeah I've never suffered motion sickness befor ( well not as long as I can remember )but I think it might have something to do with my age (47)
@Ronin_ GThayc I doubt that pal! I think it's because the body thinks you should get a sensation of moving, but there is none. It messes with your brain and causes the nausea

Agreed I would have not bought this junk if I knew that was the quality. But done is done.
If you can download some of the free demos and try them out, there might be something of interest to you 👊
The people who moan about the psvr2 are the same people who praise the quest 2. Trolls
TH-cam never notified me about it 👊
Some idiots dont even have the foveated eye tracking enable for GT7 aand then they moan it's blurry.🤦♂
So it's not really as noticeable for me
Maybe sony do a update to improve it slightly finger crossed
@@kiooo9 I don't know if you wear contact lenses or glasses but I have really really really bad eyes to the point where if they get much worse they don't even make contact strong enough. I spent $100 on prescription lenses that are built for the headset and my God is that made a difference
Foveated rendering isn't something the end user can switch on/off. It's up to the software developer if their game has it built in or not. In GT7 eye tracking isn't used in the 2D menus but is implemented in racing.
