Damn, Nintendo really rebooted this franchise, got a ton of critical acclaim, only to shove it back in a drawer somewhere and act like it doesn’t exist
Kid Icarus is Metroid's little brother and Metroid is Kid Icarus' big sister. I think it''s sweet and if ever there'll be a Smash Bros. movie in the future, it'd be wholesome to see Pit and Samus having a bro/sis moment together ♥️
KIU is my favorite videogame ever in all honesty, and the one I've poured the most hours out of all games. I still remember back when the online was incredibly active and I'd stay up all night playing in different groups made especifically for Uprising online play.
Kid Icarus unfortunately doesn't have a dedicated development studio for the series similar to Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, Fire Emblem, Xenoblade, etc. If they are able to get a studio to stick with the series and not just be there once like with Project Sora for Uprising, then it could maybe get more games without huge droughts, but we'll see

I love the series as well, But Sakurai explained in an interview years ago, That he put everything he had in kid Icarus uprising and MAYBE in another 25 years will another kid Icarus game come out. At the time, i was devastated. Now i can remember the source so just look up "kid Icarus uprising interview" or "Will there be another kid Icarus gane?". My second 3DS game ever and the game that I played more than Ocarina of Time 3D. I truly love the game for story(pretty iconic) and its gameplay even tho my hands hurt now when I try to play it on my OG Flame Red 3DS.
Dantes devine inferno...pit flew too close to the sun on the isle of crete with his wings his father gave him and attached with wax and it melted and he fell to the underworld where he must escape to the over world to defeat medusa and save palutena but his mirror turned medusa to stone. He was a sword weilder not a bowman. Its a myth in itself. Uprising get it, go up to the overworld. Gotta love that hat in the nes version
Kid Icarus' is the third in my Metroid Zelda best memories of Nintendo. It's a shame he wasn't loved more than what it is. It's another way Nintendo can print money if they make a new one. Video game directors cuts made cool nostalgia videos if u look em up. U may need the way back machine

I always thought maybe Kid Icarus would make a decent Ratchet and Clank style platformer.
