Another great overview! This would deserve way more than 50k views. Also when you mentioned Vib-Ribbon there was actually something that came to mind, although it wasn't the game itself, as I know nothing about it. To save face he then ordered his staff to actually get the game released in the west after all and they quickly got it done. You can probably find an article about the story online. I always use this example now to counter people who claim that a company can't rerelease a game because of licensing. Companies can actually do quite a lot as long as the boss wants it, lol.
Pretty accurate list. There are a few franchises you forgot to mention: *Dark Cloud series* *Nioh series* *Bloodbourne/Soul series* They are rumored to have another installment especially Nioh with the 3rd entry. FromSoftware is also working on a Sony exclusive apparently. If Horizon is going to be mentioned here on the list then I'd be fair to list *Ghost of Tsushima* since a sequel is apparently underway.
I don't think they own Nioh. It's a similar situation to Crash and Spyro, where Sony holds the publishing rights amd the ganes is exclusive but the IP is held by another company(in this case Koei Tecmo)
I think you jumped the gun with putting Wipeout as a mainstay. The last console release was Omega Collection, which is just remasters of 2048 and Wipeout HD, which itself is a compilation of tracks from the 2 PSP entries. Wipeout Merge is a mobile spin-off that, due to its poor reception and low downloads, has already had its servers taken down according to the Wipeout wiki. When you take all this in to account, the last real "new" Wipeout game was 2048 in 2012.
Damn I thought Square would be next. Really throwing in a wild card I guess...also technically our 1st non Japanese publishers since Sony Interactive Entertainment is head quatered in California
Firstly, I wanna say that you just about entirely fumbled the LittleBigPlanet section, for one, LBP3 was far more under the control of Sumo Digital than MM, who are still making games, putting out an entirely new IP "Dreams" which is just about a game engine for your Ps4, along with a mystery project we don't know much about yet. Also as a fan of the series, I am fairly confident that Sackboy is on life support at this point, after LBP3, the only two entries in the series AT ALL are a badly performing 3D platformer, and a god awful subway surfers clone, which is just about unanimously hated. The other thing I wanna talk about is one of the, seemingly many, franchises that you missed: Modnation Racers While it's most know for it's Ps3 game, and if you're in the fandom, a port of it to the Psp, it actually got a sequel on the PsVita which, while considered a downgrade in most aspects, seeing as it doesn't have cutscenes or a proper online due to hardware limitations, is in my opinion, a proper evolution of it's home console counterpart. The game was planned to have a true sequel, in the form of Modnation Racers 2, it got reskinned and retooled into LittleBigPlanet Karting, which really does still feel like a modnation game if you look hard enough.
Great video Sony is my favorite publisher, i love them so much that’s I actually managed to get every game they published on the vita. My favorite franchise is ratchet & clank. Also you forgot eyetoy play (dead franchise), the eyes of judgement (dead franchise), No Heroes Allowed! (It’s exist), ModNation Racers (got a sequel on the ps vita and zombie tier), PlayStation All-Stars (got a ios spin-off title sponsor by coke zero and life support), Doko Demo Issyo (Toro is the Japanese playstation mascot and it’s exist).
Basically proof that there’s plenty to work with for a PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale sequel. Game had potential but Sony just bailed immediately midway through the original.
"The Legend of Dragoon" will most likely be in "It Exists" or lower. They re-released it digitally in February for PS4 and PS5 with some new and improved bells and whistles, but other that that - it's kinda dead.
this video reminded me of the all the epic ps3 games we had back in the late 2000s. God of war 3, uncharted 2, resistance, kill zone 2, rachet and clank, and mgs4. So much fun, what a great time.
You forgot to mention the Doko Demo Issyo series, a series of virtual pets/life simulation games which also features the official mascot of Sony in Japan "Toro Inoue". Even though only one game in the series was officially released in the west, Toro's Friend Network in 2013 on the PS Vita; and Sony seems to have killed the franchise after it became a strictly western-centered publisher. With it's last game being a mobile game which barely lasted for more than a year. 😞
Putting Wipeout into mainstay is a massive mistake as the series technically has not had a new game since 2012. Wipeout Omega Collection in 2017 was merely a 4K remaster of Wipeout HD and Merge is a mobile game that reuses assets from the PSP games that every Wipeout fan hates and dunks on at any opportunity. Sony would shutdown Studio Liverpool, the rebranded Psygnosis, in 2012 after the PS Vita flopped. This franchise has been on life-support at best for 12 years now.
It's weird how we all know the mainstay franchise of Nintendo's video, but had no idea wtf are these mainstay Sony's games. Maybe the arrangement need some working where only top of the top can go in Flagship.
I absolutely LOVE Astro's Playroom, basically a giant tutorial for the PS5, absolutely filled to the brim with gaming Nostalgia, I cried when the PS1 and PS2 showed up.
well. a lot of these franchises are straight dead sony japan studio closed down and naughty dog seems to have moved on from their platformer days. basically every franchises created by a sony studio in japan will never get a game again. the only way they will is if you count spiritual successors. sony is one of the worst at upkeeping franchises, modern sony goes straight for blockbusters or things so cheap to make it really doesn't matter if they make money or not, so a lot of the mid range ip's are also in a very bad spot.
I agree. I'm getting tired of all the 3rd person cinematic open world games their making now. And I don't care at all for live service focused crap. Hopefully the Wolverine game is at least M rated like X-men Origins Wolverine Uncaged Edition for the PS3/360.
@@eyalrephaeli6833 You mean will be, he will keep messing up the brand until next year. I hope whoever replaces him does a better job, I miss Shawn Layden already.
Overall great video. I was surprised to see a lot of the deep cuts listed here. Very informative and you've earned a sub. There are a few franchises that were left out, though. Namely Doko Demo Issyo, IQ, ModNation, No Heroes Allowed, Boku no Natsuyasumi, and a few more, but I can understand excluding them since many of them were Japanese excluisve/very obscure and easy to miss. It's also very likely that Ghost of Tsushima is getting a sequel, but it hasn't been confirmed yet. And Death Stranding is confirmed to be getting one If I had to make one suggestion though, since you mention Team ICO's trilogy, maybe you could also bring up the smaller but also praised PS3 trilogy of Flow, Flower, and Journey, made by thatgamecompany. Much like Team ICO's games, these games aren't direct sequels to each other, but they are considered spiritual successors. And Sony owns the IPs for each of them. It's also worth noting that Sony owns the IP of Demon's Souls, which is the precursor to the Dark Souls franchise, although that is owned by Bandai Namco. Sony does also own Bloodborne so maybe it and Demon's Souls could be mentioned in the 'final thoughts' section like Crash and Spyro were.
No More Heroes is not a Sony franchise. It started on the Wii. Second game was also for that console. Spin off was a 3DS game. Third one was just a Nintendo Switch game for a while.
Idk but Wipeout is not mainstage the last real release was in 2012 on the vita and after that studio liverpool was shut down. Since then it only got one remaster but thats all, there was no main release on the whole lifespan of the ps4
what it hurts me more is not gravity rush been in the life support zone, but in reality it should be in the finished zone, since the creator said that it was the conclucion of kat history and if it will be a gravity rush 3, it would be with brand new characters
The only two that I think, I missed ( though one is just a single game, I think), would be simply the Eye Toy games as well as the PS3 exclusive Puppeteer. But nice compilation. Personally, I want to play the various platformers on the system all yet.
Demon's Souls, Bloodborne and Déracié could also be mentioned. (similar to ICO, Shadow of the Colossus and The Last Guardian) All three of these IPs were developed in a co-joint between Sony Japan Studios and From Software. And while they are not one franchise, they reference each other and have similar DNA and feel to them. With Demon's Souls having a remake, you might even argue that it is its own franchise by now and while Bloodborne had no other game release, yet, it had a story addon and the franchise created a series of comics and a table top game with its own addon.
Great overview in all honesty... I notice a lot of comments nitpicking franchises you missed, but I do recall you had no plans to cover a "franchise" that consisted of one game. Honestly though, I'd make some exceptions for that... Like Legend of Dragoon. I just think it's interesting to hear more of all their series in all honesty, even if they were VERY shortlived. Also, Spider-Man should have counted. Sure, the games are all over the place license-wise, but currently they reside with Sony, and if ever they moved owners, these Spider-Man games would still make up their own Sony-specific franchise... Not a whole other Spider-Man series. Great stuff though otherwise!
small correction media molecule didn't make littlebigplanet 3, and they still created more games after that you contradicted yourself later mentioning the tearaway remake, which released after littlebigplanet 3, and they released another game called dreams, not owned by sony as far as i know
Really love this series, probably my favorite in all of TH-cam aside from maybe Hot Ones. Kinda sad that you'll eventually ran out of game companies to cover 🙃
Playstation makes me sad. So many of their classic IP's are being let out to die while they put their focus into overly cinematic games. I really miss when Playstation was about being unique and out of the ordinary, its what made them such a revered company to begin with, and while the new stuff is still good, it is getting really repetitive. This is also made worse by Sony aboslutely not wanting you to play legacy content on new hardware no matter how much you want.
That's a really extensive list, I can't believe the number of franchises I skipped, but you still missed some: Doko Demo Issyo did have a great number of sequels, almost all of them are Japan exclusive (minus Toro Let's Party) but it still counts. Even if not a franchise, the games made under Quantic Dream (Heavy Rain, Beyond Two Souls and Detroit Become Human) still count though, same can be said about ThatGameCompany and the exclusives made under From Software. I wouldn't consider Astro Bot as an "it exists" franchise, it got an entire studio dedicated to it so, most likely, Astro's Playroom won't be the last of the AR bots. Your null knowledge of Vib-Ribbon depresses me, Vibri is a girl, not to mention that the first game allowed you to swap the main game's disk with a CD of your favorite band, allowing you to race the tracks available. You skipped Dreams when talking about Little Big Planet and you also omit Housemarke considering their recent game (Returnal). At this point I think Parappa is a finished series, it's very nature is very 2000s, even if I am a fan of it, I don't see it flying under a non fan's radar with a new game (it's creator tried making a spiritual successor the same way as Ratatan, but the Kickstarter flopped). Anyways, PlayStation has always been my preferred brand since I remember and despite the ups and down, they do create unique games (even if most of them die, DAMN YOU FOR KILLING GRAVITY RUSH).
I think the same way as Team Ico Trilogy, the Quantic Dream / David Cage's Trilogy (Heavy Rain, Beyond Two Souls, Detroit Become Human) could be one to mention.
@@BrightHero_Ultimato Yeah, besides Sonic and Yakuza, everything is in the "Dead" category. And, even if we threw in Atlus, it wouldn't be much better, as Persona would only make it third, as Shin Megami Tensei would be "Life Support" and everything else in Atlus would be "Dead".
Heard of Modnation Racers.... anyone? Played alot of that game and i wish it had a ps4 game. The game is super fun and was the PS version of mario kart and was really good. Hella underrated, wish it comes back.
Got pretty upset these game weren't included lol. Interestingly, there are a couple games that kinda act like sequels, Modnation Racers: Roadtrip on the PsVita is a pretty good sequel in terms of gameplay, but due to being on the handheld of the time, had to cut some things like story cutscenes and online races, though the online servers for the latter would probably be gone by now anyway.. The other game is LittleBigPlanet Karting which, while a spinoff of a different franchise, did originate as an actual "Modnation Racers 2" before Sony instructed the devs, United Front Games, to reskin it for more sales, though it does still feel like a Modnation game at it's heart. Unfortunately UFG closed down in 2016, so MNR is probably long gone anyway. sorry for the lecture, I just like talking about these games lol
@@Potatoboii2 that's very interesting. I played the PS3 game on occasion (I don't have a PS3 but trying to get one) but I know that there was also a PSP version which is kinda impressive for the psp tbh. Wish modnation racer has a comeback.
@@Dzzy123 that would be sick if that happened. Especially if it had online and local play and modern characters skins like older Kratos, Aloy, Jin Sakai and he'll maybe even Spider-Man and miles (that would look goofy and probably wouldn't happen but that would be awesome).
@@Profalcon1078 One of the issues with the original was the long load times. On the PS5 that problem would be fixed. The player creation was great and it had an active community. The story mode was also charming.
@josetomascamposrobledano4618 he didn't consider team ico games a trilogy, as he said in the video, so the same rule would apply here. If he did, then not only would what you brought up have been brought up, but so would have thatgamecompany games (flow, flower, & journey), quantum dream games, (heavy rain, beyond: two souls, & Detroit: become human), & pixelpunk games (a lot). Now, if there was a 3rd game that connected the two, now that is another thing altogether, but alas, no such game exists. I do agree they need to work together again, though.
In my opinion I would put gravity rush in the it exist area. Since sony confirmed to have plans for a upcoming hollywood movie. And you never guess...maybe it will come with a videogame, or at least a remastered collection of both games
Franchises that must be continued: Sly Cooper, Horizon Franchises that deserve a sequel: Medievil, Knack, Ratchet and Clank, Ghost of Tsushima Franchises for which it would be interesting to somehow have a sequel: Jak and Daxter, Sackboy, God of War
If they ever do anything new with PaRappa the Rapper they NEED to include Chris Chan’s contest entry as a new song for the game to be a success. Speaking of Chris, my boy is out of prison and he has a girlfriend.
Demon's Souls is technically not a franchise, because Dark Souls is a separate spiritual successor (which belongs to Bandai Namco). Same story with Bloodborne, which Sony does own. Nioh is Koei Tecmo's IP, because they own Team Ninja. Death Stranding is not a franchise - only one game exists as of now.
I think you missed captain blasto. That was originally intended to be an franchise but it never happened due to phil heartman’s death by his wife’s hands.
The current state os square enix's franchises I guess it will be really difficult to do, 'cause you have to see the original franchises of square soft and enix and the newest created after the union.
If the interview for a potential Syphon Filter is true, I would personally put it at Zombie. Simply because it shows Sony and its creators at least acknowledges its existence. Especially considering Days Gone has lots of Easter Eggs of the Franchise Dead franchises I would instead reserve to franchises which almost certaintly will never get a new installment, not even a remaster or port and that Sony simply doesn't acknowledge any longer
Warhawk on the PS3 was criminally good. The only real problem it has was how abusive and cancerous the arcade flight controls were. They didn't fix this in Starhawk because the devs don't like success.
Eye Toy (its like Wii series) but have Singstar, Toro games understandable why you didn't list them Japanese titles/not as well known to find online by the west and context? I know listing every series is a challenge but thats why parts are easier than 1 big video and missing many. Toro and Vib Ribbon context matters. Like Singstar and Buzz the controllers made it fun not just oh its singing or oh it's quiz questions. Vib Ribbon like someone else said was because the CD was a CD player. Irs like thr Banjo Kazooie hotswap. Rven Monster Rancher had the feature on PS1 I knoe of thr game because of its CD feature for monsters like Vib Ribbon did levels based on whatever music you out in something audio surf, beat daber and more benefits from today. All thanks to vib ribbon. Even if the art is simple but cool as well Konami (Love Plus, Thrilldrive, Coded Arms). Which is a hard task for a video series like this. Good video & details dod uncover. Retro IPs yay, current IPs no.
Only things I'd mention would be about Twisted Metal, I would have put it as exist. Due to the popularity of the show, I know it doesn't mean a new game but does add a greater chance of one. The Last thing is about Syphon Filter, Days Gone is considered part of the series. More a spinoff. I do agree Syphon is dead but it still lives in an alternate timeliness. I assume you know but incase you don't. Syphon Filter games is trying to keep a weapon from being used and destroying the world. Days Gone is the affect as I'd Gabe hadn't stop the weapon from going off, resulting in the zombie apocalypse. Great video though.
Wait, is it mentioned? If I recall from the game, there was a pharmaceutical brand that got extracts from a plant and then zombies happened. Yes, it's a Days Gone spoiler but the game released years ago.
@@dragondelsur5156 it's technically a standalone but also acts as a sequel as well. There's a lot of clues connecting the games, some are Easter eggs such as an SF (for Syphon Filter) spotted. I also believe one of the creators also confirmed it is strongly related to the series. The Game is a bit old, but the connection between Syphon Filter and Days Gone aren't well known.

I always use this example now to counter people who claim that a company can't rerelease a game because of licensing. Companies can actually do quite a lot as long as the boss wants it, lol.
Pretty accurate list. There are a few franchises you forgot to mention:
*Dark Cloud series*
*Nioh series*
*Bloodbourne/Soul series*
They are rumored to have another installment especially Nioh with the 3rd entry.
Nioh is a Koei Tecmo property.
SIE only publishes it outside of Japan.
Souls aren't Sony - owned either, although rights to Bloodborne probably are.
@AUM_-po9sc Sony owns Demon's Souls and Bloodborne, but that's it. Dark Souls is Namco, and Seriko is owned by FromSoft themselves
Well Nioh is mentioned in the new Tecmo video
I miss dark cloud
You should make a video one every Microsoft/Xbox Game Studios franchise!
Bruv, You missed the Standalone Vr Astro bot game, it was great !
The other thing I wanna talk about is one of the, seemingly many, franchises that you missed: Modnation Racers
While it's most know for it's Ps3 game, and if you're in the fandom, a port of it to the Psp, it actually got a sequel on the PsVita which, while considered a downgrade in most aspects, seeing as it doesn't have cutscenes or a proper online due to hardware limitations, is in my opinion, a proper evolution of it's home console counterpart. The game was planned to have a true sequel, in the form of Modnation Racers 2, it got reskinned and retooled into LittleBigPlanet Karting, which really does still feel like a modnation game if you look hard enough.
Love this series ❤ Can't wait to sit down for Vol. 1
Do you think Helldivers' placement has changed given the sequel's massive success?
Great bud man hope for Xbox next but do what ya want 🎉🎉🎉
Astro bot probably in the mainstay tier right now
It might as well with the new game out and stuff
Great video
Sony is my favorite publisher, i love them so much that’s I actually managed to get every game they published on the vita.
Sly 5 on the PS5 would be the dream ! Still holding on to hope…
I want an infamous 1 and 2 remake and a sly reboot
The current state of every _______ franchise:
• Electronic Arts
• Midway/Warner Bros. Games
• Ubisoft
• Activision
Basically proof that there’s plenty to work with for a PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale sequel.
Game had potential but Sony just bailed immediately midway through the original.
Agreed
fantastic Video as Always! Love this series!
Where is the Legend of Dragoon? Also Lifeline on PS2 is a 1st Party Title.
It's got only one game.
"The Legend of Dragoon" will most likely be in "It Exists" or lower.
They re-released it digitally in February for PS4 and PS5 with some new and improved bells and whistles, but other that that - it's kinda dead.
Fantastic video! So glad it was recommended. :)
this video reminded me of the all the epic ps3 games we had back in the late 2000s. God of war 3, uncharted 2, resistance, kill zone 2, rachet and clank, and mgs4. So much fun, what a great time.
Likely the best gen for Sony exclusives. Now everything wants to be cinematic 3rd person open world time wasters with RPG elements.
@@GruntvcReturnal and Ratchet and Clank were not "cinematic."
Brooo CASTLEVANIA SYMPHONY OF THE NIGHT WASNT INCLUDED?!!! IT DEFINED A GENRE! 😢😢😢 lovely video btw =)) 😂
You missed Rengoku, a game series with 2 entries, both for the PSP.
Would have never guessed Sony is the biggest company in the world considering they publish like three games a year these days
I absolutely LOVE Astro's Playroom, basically a giant tutorial for the PS5, absolutely filled to the brim with gaming Nostalgia, I cried when the PS1 and PS2 showed up.
well.
a lot of these franchises are straight dead
sony japan studio closed down and naughty dog seems to have moved on from their platformer days.
basically every franchises created by a sony studio in japan will never get a game again. the only way they will is if you count spiritual successors.
sony is one of the worst at upkeeping franchises, modern sony goes straight for blockbusters or things so cheap to make it really doesn't matter if they make money or not, so a lot of the mid range ip's are also in a very bad spot.
Jim Ryan is out of the picture at long last. hopefully things will change for the better.
And Death Stranding is confirmed to be getting one
If I had to make one suggestion though, since you mention Team ICO's trilogy, maybe you could also bring up the smaller but also praised PS3 trilogy of Flow, Flower, and Journey, made by thatgamecompany.
@erkantiryaki5542 oh wait that's correct. I meant to type "No Heroes Allowed". Thanks for pointing that out.
@@cuttsthecat6331 You are welcome.
What's the name of the Music that plays on 3:33?
Earth Tunnels 2 - Lemmings (2006)
Idk but Wipeout is not mainstage the last real release was in 2012 on the vita and after that studio liverpool was shut down. Since then it only got one remaster but thats all, there was no main release on the whole lifespan of the ps4
I am hoping soon that they do a sly cooper remake and would lead to sly 5.
Great video Legend of Kai :]
what it hurts me more is not gravity rush been in the life support zone, but in reality it should be in the finished zone, since the creator said that it was the conclucion of kat history and if it will be a gravity rush 3, it would be with brand new characters
I do wonder if Kai will return though, he disappeared after the events of the ending.
Sony: We don’t have enough franchises to rival Nintendo.
John Cena: Are you sure about that?
The only two that I think, I missed ( though one is just a single game, I think), would be simply the Eye Toy games as well as the PS3 exclusive Puppeteer.
But nice compilation. Personally, I want to play the various platformers on the system all yet.
I'd luv see a Syphon Filter remake🤩I purchased the Ps4/5 versions and earned platinum from them🙂
Horizon Zero Dawn came out in 2017 not 2012
Yes and the ps4 came out in 2013 not 2012
Demon's Souls, Bloodborne and Déracié could also be mentioned.
Great stuff though otherwise!
small correction media molecule didn't make littlebigplanet 3, and they still created more games after that you contradicted yourself later mentioning the tearaway remake, which released after littlebigplanet 3, and they released another game called dreams, not owned by sony as far as i know
0:28 love this theme, please tell me the name
Really love this series, probably my favorite in all of TH-cam aside from maybe Hot Ones. Kinda sad that you'll eventually ran out of game companies to cover 🙃
What about the Housemarque games, Sony has acquired the studio and their latest game Returnal is a certified banger.
That's a really extensive list, I can't believe the number of franchises I skipped, but you still missed some:
Doko Demo Issyo did have a great number of sequels, almost all of them are Japan exclusive (minus Toro Let's Party) but it still counts.
Also thatgamecompany's trilogy (Flow, Flower, Journey) could also be mentioned since they're all considered spiritual successors to each other.
If you had to rank all the companies you have covered so far based on how well they maintain their franchises, where would you place them?
Sega would be bottom lol
Mod Nation Racers was underrated. It was so much fun on the PS3 and it could do really well if they gave it a proper sequel.
Man I'm dreading the Microsoft video when you have to talk about Crash and Spyro.
So weird.
What about demons souls? I'm sure they own the ip
I think it needs to be 2 "original games" for it to count for these videos. Demons's soul is just 1 game & a remaster / remake.
@@arkdetectiveif we stretch it. Demon’s + Bloodborne.
Sony needs to work on those Fromsoft Partenerships if they have any brain cells!
Could use a different section. Keep it up. Good luck out there
In my opinion I would put gravity rush in the it exist area. Since sony confirmed to have plans for a upcoming hollywood movie. And you never guess...maybe it will come with a videogame, or at least a remastered collection of both games
And sony has the gall to say they have no ip
I came back to this video to say something like this lol
Xbox video gonna be some damn deep dive
Longer he waits the deeper that dive may get 💀
& a lot of dead / zombie tiers.

i’m a big fan this is an excellent video 😋😋
I'm sure...
sorry if it's too much to ask, but what about the state of evvery SNK and Microsoft franchises.
Y’all remember when Sony use to make games and not walking simulators
Their walking sims still have better gameplay mechanics than most games 😭
Shooting, punching, killing enemies never left
Rockstar really ruined it for everyone
Looking at this list really puts into perspective how Sony never rests on their laurels when it comes to IPs.
By seeing this video, now I understand why I'm not full into Playstation anymore. Majority of IP that I like are in the "Zombie or Dead area" ahah.
Where Is Ubisoft, making now with the new LaserHawk series would make the video even more viewed
Tomba doesn't look like Super Saiyan God, he looks like Super Saiyan Rose.
You forgot modnation racers
Why did you not mention Rift Apart when you were talking about Ratchet and Clank?
He did mention it briefly after talking about R&C Remake, you missed it.
@@AUM_-po9scOh my bad!
There are some IPs missing in the video. Demon’s Souls, Nioh and Death Stranding aren’t Sony franchises?
You have a point they do have to count
Demon's Souls is technically not a franchise, because Dark Souls is a separate spiritual successor (which belongs to Bandai Namco). Same story with Bloodborne, which Sony does own.
Nioh is Koei Tecmo's IP, because they own Team Ninja.
Death Stranding is not a franchise - only one game exists as of now.
I hope we can get an Ape Escape remake for the PS5 soon enough, as well as a new Everybody's Golf game for PS5
I think you missed captain blasto. That was originally intended to be an franchise but it never happened due to phil heartman’s death by his wife’s hands.
Vib Ribbon is super cool!
The current state os square enix's franchises I guess it will be really difficult to do, 'cause you have to see the original franchises of square soft and enix and the newest created after the union.
I wish & hope we get more creative Sony games in the future.
If the interview for a potential Syphon Filter is true, I would personally put it at Zombie. Simply because it shows Sony and its creators at least acknowledges its existence. Especially considering Days Gone has lots of Easter Eggs of the Franchise
Dead franchises I would instead reserve to franchises which almost certaintly will never get a new installment, not even a remaster or port and that Sony simply doesn't acknowledge any longer
I miss Motorstorm: Pacific Rift. That game was my childhood 😢
I'd love to see a new WipeOut game on PS5.
Spyro and Crash might not ever be seen on a PlayStation console again seeing as how they are now owned by Microsoft.
Warhawk on the PS3 was criminally good. The only real problem it has was how abusive and cancerous the arcade flight controls were. They didn't fix this in Starhawk because the devs don't like success.
Bro when you said horizon zero dawn came out in 2012, i had an existential crisis. Thank goodness it was 2017.
The ATV was a god tier party game
Even if the art is simple but cool as well
Konami (Love Plus, Thrilldrive, Coded Arms).
Ok, guys see you next month and i hope next month will be Koei or Square Enix because i play many RPG game if not it probably just surprise again like this one i never see this month will be Sony franchise
1:08:00 lets not over hype TLOU2 it was a mess and was over praised at game award for its obvious politic that media agreed with
and ND is definitely dead given how they have nothing after that game that killed the brand
I've heard ND wants to do a Punisher game. I'd be excited if this was pre Last of Us 2 ND. But current ND would likely butcher the character like the recent terrible Marvel comics.
You won't get obvious political complaints about a rockstar game yet they're even less subtle
