Solution to Flashing Blue Lights on PS4 Controller (How to Reconnect to Console)

- IMPORTANT: Buying a new charging cord is not required for this to work. However, you will need an extra controller that does work and is still connected to your PS4. If you don't, see the pinned comment down below. Also, if this method does not work, try getting your friend to forget the device on their own PS4 console as well. Otherwise, this method should always work.
This was a problem I experienced after taking my ps4 remotes to my friend's house and then bringing them back to my house, only to find that they wouldn't connect back to my console. When I tried to look up the solutions on Google and TH-cam, I couldn't find any. If you were like me, hopefully this video will help...
For those of you who don't have a second controller, I didn't either and just used the second screen controller on the PS app ☺️

If you don’t have an extra controller, you should use the Remote App and do what is told in the video. Works like a charm.

This video is really good and he is very good at describing all the issues but if you don’t have another controller I know it’s probably not good for the software lol but just unplug the power cord plug your controller into the ps4 and press the ps button to turn it on and it automatically pairs. But now I know how to fix it when I have a second controller lol. Super useful fs!!

Neither of my controllers are even connected to my PS4 and I unplugged it so I’m stuck on the starting screen the resetting screen actually both my controllers are flashing blue like in this video
There’s another solution but it’s a last resort and that’s unplugging the AC power cord
@@mathiasvaltsov1615 yea but you can use second remote app unless you log into you ps4 and manually type the code in, soooo how are you supposed to do that without any working controllers 🤔
@@mathiasvaltsov1615 I figured it our, turn off ps4 plug controller in by cord, and turn on the ps4 through the controller and it will reconnect. Lol wish someone could of mentioned it being that easy 10 videos and forums later.

Unplug PS4 and then plug it back in. Then turn it on using paddle.

Justthatblackgu Yeah, idk what to tell you. I'm assuming you tried shutting off your PS4 and then trying to turn it on with your remotes? Some videos say that will help. Otherwise, the only thing I can think of would be to go out and buy a new charging cord, but I still don't know if that is guaranteed to work.

Thank you so much! I have been trying to sort this issue for 2 months. Watched heaps of videos and read dozens of articles and nothing worked until now. Had a similar issue to you, my husband bought a 2nd ps4, and although we never mixed remotes (I put stickers on to make sure), somehow one of the original controllers stopped syncing with my original console. My kids are happy now!

I transferred data from an older PS4 to a N.O.S PS4 going cheap using a controller wirelessly. Exact symptoms u described with controller........For the info and appreciate I am late posting here to your video, but its the only one that works for anyone else needing to confirm. Furthermore the toothpick reset is not required, I just deleted or FORGET device, press Share and Home 5 second duration and a new device pings up. Accepted and back to normal. Thank you for the up-load and hope it helps others that will run into this problem. I am unsure if a cable is required for this operation but I used one anyway as you described.

Top man, well done for working this out. Easy to do, my controller that wouldn’t connect was brand new out of the box, so never tried the reset but followed all your instructions and it worked 1st time.
