How to Change your PS4 Controller Battery to Fix Power and Charging Issues

What's up everybody?! In this video, I show you some of the issues I found with my PS4 Controller and how to change your battery. These are the issues I ran into and is not intended to be an "exact" or "to spec" troubleshooting or problem video. This is just what I encountered and what I did to fix it. Still, I have fun doing these videos and helping people out. Hopefully this helps you out. Enjoy!!

So, I mentioned a tri-wing head screwdriver attachment. It’s not needed. While doing this video, I was working on another video that needed it and I just caught it. No tri-wing attachment needed. 🤦🏽‍♂️

Thanks man. My controller was not charging. I was ready to change the battery but I tried the pinhole reset button like you said, held it in for about 10 seconds. Then plugged it in and now it's charging. Electronics are weird. Thanks again : )

My battery is dead, I put the charger in and turn it on, it stays on for a second and then instantly turns off and nothing is working I even bought a new charger !

Yes, the same thing is happening to me. By any chance did you figure out what the problem was?

Me too and I don’t even know what to do sometimes it works when I’m in a certain position that’s not comfortable I’m buy a new controller Friday and hopefully this problem stops!

Ok im having an issue my ps4 controller is not charging nor turning on but when I press the ps button it turns on my ps4 but there is no light nothing

Then then ribbon cable that connects the back to the front just isn't connected properly.

I have two controllers. Got one with the ps4 and bought one on the side. Yesterday i broke one and the extra controller battery is damaged, so i tried to change the batt with the other one, but the batt connector size is different.

I just had this issue my controller does says that is charging only if I connected it through my PS4 but other than that it won’t charge i can’t unplug it or anything

My controller cannot connect to my iPad after charging. I charged for 3 hours and it still doesnt work. When i charged, it says low battery and then when i tried to press the PS button, the light doesnt show up

Its for a ps4, not an ipad, thats why its not working.
