Dirge remains to be my favorite Colossi, despite him being so hated. Those soul-killing eyes as they pierce the sand, charging after you at full force, its terrifying mandibles and jaw zipping open as it pounces on top of you, forcing you to maneuver your horse out of harm's way just barely. Everything about this colossi I just love, and I think he is very underrated

Plus that Jaws-like fin coming at you is terrifying. I'm guessing some of the hate comes from people struggling with shooting the bow while also controlling Agro (although I've found that the secret to Agro is to let her do her thing.. she's a smart horse!)
funny enough you can auto aim him whit a buttom i dont remember wich ,the only tricky thing you had to do is make sure agro run ina straight line whitouth bumping one of the towers by accident, people feel is too difficult because they aim it manually
@@samifranco5541 It´s part not of the fun, but of the challenge and desperation exacerbated by panic of a colossus hunting you down this fiercely. But at the end you manage to kill it, Do you? (as it is hard, overcoming the dificultty makes it more rewarding.
I feel dumb for looking for a walkthrough, I though you needed to make it smash through rocks to kill it. Reminder that you can use L2 to focus on the colossus so you don’t have to keep readjusting camera

I truly do miss this game. I'm not saying it's a perfect game, there are a lot of parts (LIKE DIRGE, SERIOUSLY, FUCK THIS THING) that were questionable at best and hair-pulling a lot of the time. But Sony tried something new and interesting, and man, when it worked, it WORKED. Some of the best moments I've had in gaming came from figuring this thing out.

You don't need to do anything to steer the horse. Literally no input and the horse will keep galloping forward. No left joystick, no holding X or anything.

It took me at least 10 minutes of running around on the horse to find out what I had to do. By the time I did, halfway through it’s health it’s weak point just disappeared so I had to restart. Love how it looks though-
I remember by the time I got to the halfway point in this game, I had to look up TH-cam videos to get through the next half of the game. It felt kinda like I was cheating my way through, but I wanted to finish the game. I did manage to beat phalynx and the 14th colossus without TH-cam, but I remember the 11th colossus being tricky, even after watching how to beat him. And then I remember feeling really embarrassed that I had to rewatch the Malus battle, even though I had seen how to defeat him before, just because there was this one tricky corner before you finally reach him, and because I forgot that I needed to shoot his shoulder with an arrow after stabbing his hand
I must admit its hints have been pretty crap for the last couple, the rest iv been fine with upto now but that bloody turtle i had to google and now this thing. Its like here ya go try and figure put what we were thinking before you die :/ I’ll give this a go now but it looks like it combines the two worst parts of the game, horse controls and camera lol
Embarrassed to say it was at this point that I quit and deleted the game. I found the whole game super frustrating and the controls very clunky. I kept trying to get the snake to hit the rocks. I'd stand in front of the rocks and jump out of the way, didn't work. Any time I got close, of course I'd get knocked out of the way. Felt like it took forever for my guy to get back on his feet, was just infuriating. Good on all of you who succeeded.
You missed out on the next boss -- a raging bull that knocks you down nearly instantly after you get up... And every time it takes forever to get back up
I feel that I need 3 hands to play this stupid fight. One to steer, one to hold triangle for the horse and to use the bow and a 3rd to aim the bow. It is so awkward, especially when the camera is fighting you to! If they just allow the horse to move without holding a button, it would make this so much easier. I mean, I don’t need to hold a button to walk on foot. Just do the same with the horse.
I played this game back on the PS2 and I remember I hated him so much now I'm playing it again on the PS4 and I was hating how I'd have to fight it again

i love this game and all, but FFFFUCKKKK that horse. it controls like shit, and any colossus involving her is horrible. Dirge and Basaran Especially.
I love my little Agro, but, she slows down at the worst time. But at least she is very loyal to you despite what you put her through.
