You are my hero Mel. Thanks for taking the time to make these videos. My 2014 Kia Soul did not come with a spare so that is now on my short list of things to do. I have seen multiple nails in tires before and it was caused by a box of nails along the curb that probably fell off a truck.
You are very welcome! I'm just trying to save someone the hassle and/or panic if faced with this battle. I'll look around for some kits and add it to the description of this video.
Learned a lot from your videos today. Thank you so much for taking the time to make these videos and post these. You did an amazing job on them. Much appreciated ❤
One thing my gpa taught me was if possible you should always try to take the back tire off put the back tire on the front and put the donut on the back. Just bought me a soul and been trying to absorb as much info as I can about them. You've got the 2.0l same as me so these are super helpful.
A family friend who has a kia soul will benefit from this video and at the same time help me learn on the tire changing aspects on a kia. As for the nail(s) im kinda on the fence on that debate, 1 makes sense, but 2? I had a blow out going into June last month ran off the road, plowed through a barbwire fence you know. Why i say this is because when people seen the (insurance) photo of the cars damage .. most particularly the damaged tire. The dabate is 50/50 tire blow out or knife poke. Good to hear your safe, you have a good weekend.
Awesome! I'm glad to hear the video helped!! Based on the pairing of the nails it was most likely me driving in the city through a construction zone. Wishing you safe travels ❤️
Good vid. Did everything right. That tire was absolutely repairable btw. The shop screwed you. You can get a $5 repair kit from Harbor Freight etc and plug those yourself.

With regard to the placement of the jack, there are two small notches along the ridge that indicate where the jack goes.

There were two holes side by side. Plus, it's close to the side, so I'd rather spend the money than have a blowout.
You saved me. Thanks!!!!
