A family friend who has a kia soul will benefit from this video and at the same time help me learn on the tire changing aspects on a kia. As for the nail(s) im kinda on the fence on that debate, 1 makes sense, but 2? I had a blow out going into June last month ran off the road, plowed through a barbwire fence you know. Why i say this is because when people seen the (insurance) photo of the cars damage .. most particularly the damaged tire. The dabate is 50/50 tire blow out or knife poke. Great video Mel. I have a 2014 Soul + with 94k miles. Unfortunately I was one of the unlucky ones replacing the PCV valve on my Kia Soul for the first time. The old valve came out okay without any problem. Installing the new one that I got at a local auto parts store was not so kind however. I tightened it by hand as much as I could, then a little tighter with a deep socket and ratchet, but not too tight. Apparently that was still too tight. The new valve busted in half behind the rubber grommet. The threaded part was still in the hole. Luckily I had a large screwdriver and i was able to twist and pry the threaded section out of the hole and put my old valve back in, which still seemed functional. This time I put my ratchet aside and used only the deep socket to tighten it by hand as much as I could. Hopefully it is enough.

My 2015 Kia Forte LX 1.8 made in Korea proudly displays 429,000 on the odometer. I use the Sea Foam valve cleaner every 2 oil changes (synthetic only). God bless us all!

I'm going on almost a year with my 2019 SOUL. I also have the organizer, and the tri fold cover up top. the one thing im curious about is... did your spare come with your KIA, or a seperate purchase? mine came with a kit that consisted of a motorized pump and a can of goo. If not, could you point me in the direction you took to purchase it? not that im too lazy to do my own research... :P but what you have fits nicely, and works. thank you in advance.

As promised, here is the response from Auxito. I was instructed to set up a return thru Amazon for a refund. Long story short, their bulb, and other Chinese made 1:1 profile, where the fins are inline with the blade are NOT suitable OR legal in our Gen2 Souls. Due to the improper orientation in our housing you get a massive ball of light that only extends out 100ft as measured on an alignment wall. High beam creates a dark spot in front of the car and only extends out about 50ft. All the light goes off to the sides, like a wide beam instead of high beam, due to improper orientation. In states that still use alignment screens or the newer beam setting/testing machines you will fail your inspection using these lights. They are going to look into making a bulb suitable for Kia’s and probably the Ford’s that have the same issue. The recommendation is we need to use a bulb that has an adjustable collar or base to allow for proper orientation.

I think you did a nice job on the video. I have a Honda Earthdreams GDi and use this method. Along with Redline Si-1 fuel system cleaner. I do this on Fridays prior to my scheduled oil change on Saturdays where I add 4 ounces of Gumout Multitune to crankcase and drive for 5 miles to dealership to have oil changed. Go up a grade too, the 0w20 and 5w20 unless using Amsoil or Redline will dilute too soon; if using a basic synthetic oil use 5w30 and kept changing every 4-6k miles.

My Kia soul is a 2020 gt line. 2 owner. Changed the PVC valve for the first time at 103,000. Bought the car at 96,000.

She's correct that this is a must for adding to your maintenance schedule. But this is PREVENTATIVE maintenance. If you're already experiencing rough running and dirty intake valve issues, this is not a silver bullet that will solve that. This has been proven by many other channels and videos. GDI engines suck.

sounds like a great idea, but I am curious, what does this device do to all the computer modules in the car when the power is continually turned off and on? Even simple things like you lose your stereo settings, but things the car learns are gone aren't they? I am in no way a mechanic, so please help me learn what it will or won't do to the computer of the car.
