I had a large woodscrew go into my tyre, used the mobility kit, it was useless, i suppose it might be ok if you just got a nail in your tyre. After that i got myself a space saver spare.
First thing I did when I bought my 2019 Kia Rio was order a full size spare to go in the back. Don`t trust mobility kits and hate the look of those space saver spares. But thanks for the vid. Always handy to know about these things .
Need to go back to a spare. This kit won't work with a bent rim if a curb is hit or a side wall tear. Useless cheap kit that will probably stop working after its first use.
Oh Charlotte that was SO naughty! Your poor dad was baby sitting; no wonder he didn't have time to shoot the video 😂 I guess he's watched this now and you got busted? Very useful video btw - many thanks
I carry a plug kit and a more durable 12 v compressor in all of my cars (plus a spare tire), off road vehicles and my motorcycle. Ive never been stranded. Most the time with a nail or screw puncture all I needed was the compressor to fill the tire and drive to a tire shop or home.
The best possible use of this one time ultra emergency hope it works due to a simple puncture is to empty the contents and repurpose the nice bag to hold a tire inflator pump. Any tire issues best to call for a tow. Ask a tire repair tech what these kits do. Mine said not to use them. The TPMS might be compromised and tire not repairable due to all of the sealant.
So was dad mad when he saw the final video or did you confess before that? 😂😂 Either way, nice job and thanks for the video's. BTW thanks for the video on how to change the level 1 charger to 12 Volts and speed up the charge! 😊
Reminds me of my nieces and nephew - I would be sure to think "don't mix up the baby with the repair kit .. baby right hand, compressor left". My wondering - that looks like much better "sealer" than the old days where it was like tar being sprayed inside. The shop must have a clean up process when they get "deflator kit" cars coming in. I bet that stuff is water soluble - for instance you need a really clean rim and tire to get that seal optimized eh.
I thought there was two stages on the instructions. Fill the tyre partially with all the sealant then drive the vehicle slowly for a short distance to spread the sealant and then fill the tyre to correct pressure with the sealant bottle removed.
So here I am with a flat tyre having to go online because Hyundai have not provided any instructions with the "tire mobility kit" which is not intuitive. Luckily I am at home and can access the Internet but not all areas where I live have Internet access so I would be knackered.
No shame here! ☺️ Our gas vehicles are largely equipped with a spare tire kit, but when it comes to electric vehicles, there often isn’t enough space for a full size spare because of the battery size. You could certainly fit on in the trunk if less cargo space is required.
Many gas vehicles don't come with a spare anymore. I drove a Honda for years and never had an issue. Kept a plug kit in the trunk, but never needed it.
Thats all very well but after a working career involving lifting heavy weights I can no longer manouver a wheel on or off a car due to "tennis elbow" This sealing system will be a godsend if and when I need it.😮😮
@@BrantfordKia What fuel savings ? The tire weighs the same. Supposedly you do not have to add pressure due to Temperature changes as Nitrogen has no moisture to expand or shrink like air. Waste of money.
I bought my kia niro 2023 just a week ago, and i had the ambient light working, and just after 2 days that feature disappeared from the vehicle settings. how i can get it back please help.
Well it's a good thing he didn't actually use the goo that goes inside the tire she has no idea what that stuff does long term to the inside of the rim that stuff will destroy the inside of the rim if it isn't clean out when u actually fix the tire so please have who ever fixes your tire to clean every bit of this stuff off your rim
Literally avoided to buy a hyundai cause of that instead of a spare tire and that horrible fob key! Hyundai want to save money by giving us crap stuff without lowering the cost of the car? lol good luck with that
Not gonna lie, the Key fob design, needs an update! I personally, prefer a spare tire and hope that Hyundai listens to their customers and brings it back - especially when their Kia counterparts often include a spare.
I think most people have heard of tire mobikity kits but have no idea what they actually are or how they work. This will be really valuable!
Not if you do it his way.
I was laughing at Charlotte when Pat found the kit in between the tries and she acted like she doesn't know anything about it 😂😂
😳😳😳
Thanks for this...Just picked up my EV6 from Brantford KIA yesterday and this will be my first vehicle without a spare.

Well done, Charlotte. Very funny...and informative!

Thanks so much for this! I really appreciate you explaining how to use this mobility kit!!
This would be so much fun in the winter or a bad rainy windy day.
*almost* as much fun as changing a tire

How long before he figured out that you did that?

Used mine, now need to get that filler ... a little bit expensive though ...

Also do not pull the nail or screw out as the sealant is supposed to seal around it.
Charlotte, where's the part of you confessing to Pat what you did? 🤣
The kit is useless if the tire ruptures or has a big enough hole/cut.
Great video and god info 👍🏻👌🏻
Glad it was helpful!

Ok sorry but the baby stole the scene. 😂
So this is how u use compressor technically
How did he know not to use the sealant?
IDK Pat was her Dad
Yup!
Hmm
Just put a dam spare tire in the cars! You should be ashamed!

It should be a law that all tires have atleast a donut spare. You will never convince me different.
Not trying to convince you on anything! ☺️ Just sharing the information on how EV’s are built!

Great video, from an awesome car channel. I wonder how many people get nitrogen-filled tires from any of your locations on average?
I would say about 80%. The nitrogen is in a package with other options, but the fuel savings basically pays for the package in the first year.

Yeah! She's so cute! I love conspiracies...

my kia niro ex has tires pressure of 36, and on dashboard it shows 48 and 50 sometimes, is that ok because not tires light on yet on dashboard?
Thank you.
I really wanted to see your dad's reaction when you told him. You did tell him right?😅😅

Nice...😆
thank you for watching !!!
Omg you’re a devil 😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤
quit being cheap kia and an actual freaking spare in the car
Two cute ladies very informative. Pat,s getting there too. 😂😂
Dors the Kia Forte Ex+ have illuminated door handles??? Pleaseee let me know!
The Ex+ does not :(
Of course he didn't put "the stuff" in the tire - it makes a royal mess from what I've heard....
It makes a mess! 100%. It has to been cleaned out of the tire after repair too. Definitely for emergency use.
Agreed.
