Also keep in mind GM buys a lot of their brake systems from various brake manufacturers.
MinhDoesCars I think the Evo X might be a bad example since that got discontinued back in 2013. But yeah everything is becoming smaller displacement turbocharged engines. But I think there will still be V8s, they might just become very small like 3.6, 3.8 etc with a twin turbocharged setup etc.
yeah completely agree, shows how far the car industry has come over the last 4 years. On the other hand, I do hope that they keep going with larger N/A engines. Really can't have a replacement for them
They are more efficient if they are direct injection with a turbo. My Audi 2.0T was amazing. More than enough torque and power and I averaged 32 mpg mixed driving. But it did sound like a small diesel or steam engine chuffing away at idle...
3 things; 1. It is not the same transmission as the C7, it is related though I believe 2. The seat goes up and down, if you are less than 6'3" you will fit. 3. It is closer to 200lbs lighter than the V6, it is almost 400lbs lighter than the V8
Driven one of these. Coming from my 1964 Fairlane with a supercharged 289, to this, I was pleasantly surprised by how much power it actually had. And the eight speed is pretty great, but, I really want a full manual with one of these, muscle and pony cars really need manuals, it's sort of part of the charm and personality for me. I want to see when these start getting wrecked, and people start putting these engines in their Miatas, I've seen much bigger engines crammed in them before, and this would hit that amazing sweet spot for such a light car.
Lmao most cars out there are in the 30k range anyway... No one looks at a v6 camaro/mustang or I4 camaro/ mustang and goes.... ooohh that person must have money!! Mmmm no !
If You mod one of these 4 banger camaros that is where the fun begins. I have one and did some mods, Loud and quick. Have a K&N Cold air intake, Larger Throttle body, a tune and a muffler delete. Despite what most think, exhaust on these cars sounds really good as long as you don’t straight pipe it. you can easily get 400hp with some elbow grease on these cars. ZZ performance has some goodies for these cars if y’all are looking for parts.
Me too. 17 ILS turbo, ZZP catted downpipe,, Flowtech muffler delete, ZZP larger throttle body, JMS Pedalmax throttle controller, Turbo Smart Wastegate, GFB diverter valve, Rev 9 intercooler, RS Racechip and a drop in K N filter...pulls like a modern V8.
Couple things you should know: 1) When it tells you that you are in "Performance Mode" when you're already in Sport, that's actually telling you that the transmission is in Performance Shift Mode, which is very different. It means that while you're driving hard, it'll change its shift calibrations to be faster and hold out gears longer. 2) While the redline reads 7000 RPM, don't go that high with this engine. Power begins to fall after 6000 RPM, ideal shift point is 6200 RPM. 3) The transmission is NOT the same as the Corvette's, unless you have the SS in automatic. The LT models with the 2.0T or the V6 have the 8L45, the little brother to the 8L90 that's paired to the LT1. 4) The LT models are a LOT lighter than the 200 lbs you said. It's actually a 300 lb difference between the SS and the V6, and 400 lbs between the SS and the 2.0T. 5) This engine definitely benefits from an exhaust system; it's so quiet stock that it's boring, it sounds much better with even a cheap muffler delete. 6) I have one with a manual. Would you want to try this engine with the manual, and see the difference?
As for the exhaust question (3:30-ish): No. just no. Do NOT "fart can" a Camaro! Best to leave it with the smooth Cadillac quiet sounding factory exhaust imo. If you want proper Camaro sounding exhaust (that powerful, ground-shaking low rumble) you'll have to swap a big V8 in it or it's going to sound like some high school kid's beat up Honda. That kind of lawnmower-like sound coming from a Camaro would be just plain wrong (like a Harley-Davidson sounding like a dirt bike) if you ask me. For some things there really is no replacement for displacement. Exhaust sound is one of those things.
Little do you know, all you have to do is lower the seat and it goes back further. My ZL1 fits me at 5'10" fine, my boy is 6'5" and he fits fine as well.
I test drove one of these 2.0 turbo camaros today.(was convinced to since there was no ss models curently in stock at the local dealer) Drove like a typical base model v6 I personally found but a v8 is still the way to go for a camaro type of a vehicle
Is it killing you? Imagine being in the hospital because you’re dying and the doctors are trying to find the cause of it, and they find out it’s because an automatic Camaro has a manual mode lol. I’m sure they’d pull the plug :)
Me and my wife had a 2011 V6 Camaro 2lt and it was fun. Even without 2 more cylinders it was still decently quick and a joy around corners. It sucks way less gas than the V8 and was cheaper to insure. I did hate the boat load of blind spots and the fact that the back seats where a joke but all in all I kind of miss it.
*@Matt A* Buick GNX? In it's hay day, it spanked the asses of any V8 in its sights. Even the Corvette and Camaro. And it's regarded as a muscle car with a turbocharged V6. Plus. Camaros aren't really "muscle cars" anymore. (although they never where muscle cars.) Camaro is a sports car now.
Visibility issues was the biggest issue why I didn't get a gen 5 and got a GT Mustang instead. I got in and I couldn't see anything. You can "get used to it" but how do you see what color the light is when you're first at an intersection?
you are too nice man, apologizing for the cars transmission sucking is not necessary, i want to hear you be brutally honest. keep up the good work man.
Actually I had a 69' Camaro with a 350sb and a turbo350 Trans. I also had a 91' Camaro with a 305sb and a T56 Trans. Both were fun but expensive. I was a youngster with very little money, so I sold them. No regrets.
a 4 cylinder does sound pretty good. in person however. I did a straight pipe on my nissan altima 2.5 I took off the mufflers about 3 weeks ago, and today I took off the resonator. and it has altima deep rumble but nothing like altima lawn mower. now that's a Japanese engine I'm not sure how an american 4 cylinder would sound. (this is if he just plans to take off all noise restrictions in the car. I'm not sure how a FULL performance system would sound however)
Guy I knew had a Firebird with the Iron Duke and while it was not a rocket, it wasn't a complete slug. Mat the throttle and it'd (surprisingly) get out of it's own way.
well since I really really don't like the sound of v8s and much prefer the sound of 4/5/6 cylinder engines I'm actually really stoked about these new smaller engine muscle cars because now there's a car that has that nice macho American muscle design if you're into it with (what I think is) an actual good sounding motor and not being completely underpowered too
In Europe, those 4cyl muscle cars have been very popular so far. Taxes on a big engine are huge and fuel is 3 times more expensive on average. So from a business standpoint, the 4cyl make a lot of sense on the international market! (BUT THEY SOUND LIKE SHIIIIIIT :'( )
Do people not realize the seats go up and down in this car? I'm 6'7" tall and I fit reasonably fine, and with a helmet! I brought my helmet with me to the dealership just to be certain. GM intentionally made the seats so that they could go extra low, and added the bubble roof, just to accommodate taller drivers with a helmet. In fact, the Camaro is one of the only sports cars I fit it, which is one of the reasons I now have a 1SS 1LE on order. Of course, I never would have bought one if it wasn't also the best all around sports cars for the price right now. Something I never thought I'd be saying about a Camaro!
This thing has a major turbo lag problem. I was getting my 2017 ZL1 Camaro serviced and they gave me this turbo Camaro as a loaner and the car feels like your in too high a gear from a dig, but it's just the lag. When the power comes on it's strong. Was glad to get back in my car with 400 more horsepower.
declaratedvet 4 banger will be more efficiënt than a na v8, at things like this the manufacture wanted the same model with same power to be more fuel efficiënt. not just "more powerfull" thanks to the turbochargers u get the same power as an v8 vehicle had but with the economy
DevasionX a v8 will always make more power than a 4 cyl now if you want economy sure get a 4 cyl, its funny how these eco boost guys brag about beating stock v8s with their modified 4 cyl turbo lol drop a turbo or some nitrous on that v8 and then try beating it
emission laws will force even the biggest performance cannons to step down, the m3 and m5 was once v8 and v10, now both are down to turbo v8 and l6. in fact my country will ban the sales of gasoline and diesel powered cars by 2025
That interior does look pretty nice. I do get claustrophobic in these things though. Not being able to rest my elbow on the window sill is also a deal breaker for me. lol
What's up with all these American 4 cylinder turbo engines like people were always against imports for having them but my question is are they going to last ?
Second generation of the Camaro that had a 4 banger option. Though this is the first time it was available with a turbo. From 1982-1985 they had the 2.5 "Iron Duke".
Speaking as somebody who has a V8...lots of people don't want the V8. Buddy of mine got the ecoboost in auto. I got the V8 in stick. But mine is not my daily driver (I have an economy car for that) , whereas he takes his to work year round. So it makes sense. Plus his has 300 horsepower!
Nick Rodriguez camaro's are better than the Lexus GS 300? 🤔I guess if you like domestics more you'd say that but the tuner in me has to say I'd pick the Lex.
As much as a Chevy fan i grown up as, the Camaro loses my vote on styling from the rear. I find the back end hideous and would rather take a Corvette or a 5th gen Camaro anytime of the day
Just don't get it... if you buy a muscle car... you buy a muscle car because it's a muscle car... for the whole visceral experience.. the sound.. the torque... the power... not this airy, fairy, shit...
Josh Chittenden they've never been real muscle cars. You could bitch and moan about what engines go in what, but if General Motors/ Ford did it, they did it for a reason. Get with the times my dude
GM's C20X- engine was the record holder for most torque per liter in the Cadett Superboss before the 458 Italia came out. The Honda S2000 had most HP per liter until then as well. If the Camaro has that C20 engine, then you have such a winner!
GM says the 2.0L Camaro competes with V6 Mustang and the Ecoboost Mustang competes with V6 Camaro, but since the V6 Mustang is going away for 2018 I guess the Ecoboost will compete against the 2.0L and V6 Camaro
People don't realize that the government each year puts a set regulation on manufacturers that all there vehicles they offer combined and averaged out must make x mpg. That's why they dropped the v6 in the Camaro and mustang. They don't want to get rid of the v8 for obvious reasons and they needed to gain some mpgs somewhere so, turbo 4 cylinder it is
I own a 2011 Camaro, and the visibility isn't all that bad. I have always been told that the car has horrible blinds spots, and you feel trapped, but after owning one it really isn't terrible. I have zero trouble seeing out, and beside me. Yes it has less visibility than a mustang, but it makes the car more unique, and doesn't make you feel like you're driving a malibu.
I have a 2017 V6 camaro with dual exhaust. I chose the V6 over the 4/turbo Because of lag, the fact that the v6 has more raw hp, and the v6 sound with my dual exhaust just sounds better than the turbo. The turbo is something that your gonna hear occasionally but not often. A V6 will be heard easily. BUT the v4 turbo has "better mpg" but your expected to use premium gas which overall makes it cost more than the v6. But it all comes down to personal preference. Just stating my point of view
4 cylinder and auto.. And not a good sounding one, even for a 4 banger. Even as a non-american, I don't understand why you'd get a 4 cylinder muscle car. Your gas is so cheap, why is there even a market for this in the US?
I guess cars are cheaper in the US, but i'm in my mid-20's and I couldn't afford one of these. I guess there are lots of markets for posers who want to associate with a certain thing/image, but don't care if the thing is an actual representation.
I get similar mileage to the SS camaro out of a 2002 4.6l. It only costs me about 30/week for gas. If I got the 22mpg city of this 4 cylinder camaro, I would save a whopping 6 bucks a week for a MUCH less fun car. If I couldn't afford the V8, I'd either keep saving or buy used. The only way this makes sense is if you live in an area with astronomical gas prices, or you have a VERY long commute, or in some foreign countries they rape you with insurance costs if you have a V8.
I don't understand why this even exists either as Chevy could have easily done better as they have the 4.3l LV3 V6 from the truck line that already makes more power with no turbo. Since the LV3 is an LS family engine all the same modes for the LS family V8s will work.
Put the transmission in sport mode and leave it. Nail the throttle and the active shift mode comes on. There's virtually no lag. My car breaks traction in 1st & 2nd gear.
The Mustang and the Camaro both had 4 cylinders in the early to mid 80s, my mom actually owned a 4 cylinder Camaro. The Mustang even had a turbo 4 at one point that was supposed to be pretty fast for 80s standards. Not to get political but I think the reason they are putting smaller engines in many of these types of cars, like a turbo 6 in the new Ford Raptor, is because they are trying to meet the new gas millage and emission standards that are or were coming soon, depending on what the current president does. In my opinion, having more options is better for the consumer. In the 60s they had a ton of engine options in cars, now you only get a few or sometimes just one.
I hate how people hate the 4 cylinder or the v6 owners. I currently own a v6 at 20 years old. But trust me, if I could've afforded a V8 that would've been what I would've got. But a lot of us don't have a choice due to the price tags of the v8.
people need to understand its not all about the big bad v8, bigger engine=heavier. people say its not a muscle car cuz it don't have a v8. i have a mustang eco and i don't consider it a muscle car because its a sports car. my eco beats the moddern v8s out there today just with some bolt ons and a tune, heck even makes more power than your big bad v8s. people need to understand times are changing
You gotta understand how limited V8s are from the factory. Because they have to meet emissions and stuff. That's why once you start to mod and push some boost through them, you get crazy cars making absolutely huge power numbers that 4 cyls can't without forging just about everything.
It's not that a V8 is better, all engines have their pros and cons, it's that it's a characteristic of a muscle car. If I want a kick ass 4 banger I'd get a Golf GTI or an old Lancia Delta, I'd want a V8 in a muscle car. Mustangs are more sporty and actually handle well, as opposed to being just a straight line performer. Also, the EcoBoost V6 is in the Ford GT, so it's proven. The Mustang SVO from the 80s had a 4 cylinder so there's history with smaller engines. It just seems out of place in a Camaro idk.
the 2.0t camaro is very torque-y and light on the nose. It's a well tuned sports car. Square 8.5" 245s. It dives around corners. The torque comes on very strong at 3-5k rpm. It's not slow, that's for damn sure.
Americans are catching up finally. Germans have 2.0T direct injection engines for 15 years already. lol Great engines. Power that Camaro makes and torque is just enough to have a lot of fun for daily driver. Americans need to learn that they dont need V8 for daily driver.
Catching up? The only reason this camaro has a 4 cylinder option is marketing. Our V8's are vastly superior to yours, namely reliability and volumetric efficeincy. This car needs either the V8, or the V6 (a very under appreciated engine.) If you're going to buy a 4 cylinder camaro, you're doing it to look cool.

Being an old school guy I remember the turbos of the 80s, so I think it's cool to have turbos back in American cars.
Seems like everything will eventually become 4 cylinder engines, but will they be more fuel efficient? I mean look at the Evo X
Dont't complain about 4-cylinders, in europe there already is a 3-cylinder BMW 3-series...
MinhDoesCars Poor evo doesn't exist anymore..
3 things;
1. It is not the same transmission as the C7, it is related though I believe
2. The seat goes up and down, if you are less than 6'3" you will fit.
3. It is closer to 200lbs lighter than the V6, it is almost 400lbs lighter than the V8
DO AN EXHAUST ON IT YOU WILL LOVE IT. I got one at work with an exhaust and it sounds sooooo good.
What kind of exhaust you have done to it?
Driven one of these. Coming from my 1964 Fairlane with a supercharged 289, to this, I was pleasantly surprised by how much power it actually had. And the eight speed is pretty great, but, I really want a full manual with one of these, muscle and pony cars really need manuals, it's sort of part of the charm and personality for me.
I want to see when these start getting wrecked, and people start putting these engines in their Miatas, I've seen much bigger engines crammed in them before, and this would hit that amazing sweet spot for such a light car.
so many people bashing this car but statistically a majority of you can't even afford to buy one.
Anyone can afford to buy one, doofus. These cars don’t advertise wealth. They advertise debt.
Lmao camaros are cheap asf. Usually the college students gdt camaros
Couple things you should know:
1) When it tells you that you are in "Performance Mode" when you're already in Sport, that's actually telling you that the transmission is in Performance Shift Mode, which is very different.
And another thing: The manual transmission cars have a mechanical limited slip diff, while the automatics have an open diff.
I have this car. Did a muffler delete, catless DP, cold air intake, and throttle control and it just sounds, and pulls amazing
Slam the 4 banger and daily it
As for the exhaust question (3:30-ish): No.
Sat in a Camaro 6 at the Vancouver car show and at 6'3" I couldn't even hold my head straight.
I'm 6'1 and didn't have this problem?
I test drove one of these 2.0 turbo camaros today.(was convinced to since there was no ss models curently in stock at the local dealer) Drove like a typical base model v6 I personally found but a v8 is still the way to go for a camaro type of a vehicle
"Manual mode" 🙄
“🙄” 🙄
Is it killing you?
Imagine being in the hospital because you’re dying and the doctors are trying to find the cause of it, and they find out it’s because an automatic Camaro has a manual mode lol.
I’m sure they’d pull the plug :)
Me and my wife had a 2011 V6 Camaro 2lt and it was fun. Even without 2 more cylinders it was still decently quick and a joy around corners. It sucks way less gas than the V8 and was cheaper to insure. I did hate the boat load of blind spots and the fact that the back seats where a joke but all in all I kind of miss it.
can you get these in a manual at least?
Teh RedSpade yes thats what i have
.Charlay cool. I know GMs auto sucks for people that are use to dct
.Charlay nice how you liking it? im sure it pulls much nicer.
Edward the manual is a totally different animal I love it
.Charlay thats good to hear, some people don't realize stick shift makes a car 10x better 😂
i just recently purchased this very car, i didnt believe the owner when i was told that David reviewed this car, gonna take amazing care of her!
Got a chance to ride in one and was surprised. Challenger still has my heart out of all these cars though,
Visibility issues was the biggest issue why I didn't get a gen 5 and got a GT Mustang instead. I got in and I couldn't see anything. You can "get used to it" but how do you see what color the light is when you're first at an intersection?
It’s that bad I sold mine
you are too nice man, apologizing for the cars transmission sucking is not necessary, i want to hear you be brutally honest. keep up the good work man.
Smaller displacements and turbos will wear out faster...Better to have the larger naturally aspired V-8.
Four cylinder engines were offered in the camaro, since 1967. Not a new idea but if your looking for gas milage.
Paul Arrowsmith ; 3rd gen camaros 1980s had a 4cy.. i bought one for $1 to use the body parts on an old z28 i had that got jacked up
Actually I had a 69' Camaro with a 350sb and a turbo350 Trans. I also had a 91' Camaro with a 305sb and a T56 Trans. Both were fun but expensive. I was a youngster with very little money, so I sold them. No regrets.
I know they have good power but having a 4 cylinder Camaro or Mustang just seems wrong. v6 is where I draw the line.
a 4 cylinder does sound pretty good. in person however. I'm not sure how a FULL performance system would sound however)
At least it's not an Iron Duke :v
tomoya97 lol it would be hilarious if it had an iron duke!!
tomoya97 I have a truck with the iron duke in it, and it performs pretty well
Guy I knew had a Firebird with the Iron Duke and while it was not a rocket, it wasn't a complete slug. Mat the throttle and it'd (surprisingly) get out of it's own way.
there was a super duty iron duke in the Fiero which made 272 hp to 330hp all motor, SD4 2.7L / 3.2L not to bad if you ask me.
Nothing like a big displacement pushrod four banger huffing maybe 110 hp.
I'm 6'3 and I can drive it comfortably. Obviously you have to get used to the visibility but you adapt. Past my height though I don't know
He was trying so hard no to talk bad about the maro lol
well since I really really don't like the sound of v8s and much prefer the sound of 4/5/6 cylinder engines I'm actually really stoked about these new smaller engine muscle cars because now there's a car that has that nice macho American muscle design if you're into it with (what I think is) an actual good sounding motor and not being completely underpowered too
Rippy - how does one not like the sound of v8's? Too much soy in your diet?
In Europe, those 4cyl muscle cars have been very popular so far. Taxes on a big engine are huge and fuel is 3 times more expensive on average. So from a business standpoint, the 4cyl make a lot of sense on the international market! (BUT THEY SOUND LIKE SHIIIIIIT :'( )
The Euro Car Show dollar for dollar, American make faster cars.
The 2.0T competes with the V6 Mustang. While the V6 Camaro competes with the Ecoboost, as their non-V8 performance engine.
The 2.0t competes with 2.3 ecoboost and the 3.6 competes with the 3.7. You have got to be one dumb cookie…
4.. 5.. 6.. 8.. 10.. 12.. 16.. Cylinders.. 4cylinder can make 1000hp+ just saying. Muscle is Muscle, get over it!
I'm 6'2, I drive a 2013 mustang and fit more than fine, I folded myself into the new camaro a few weeks ago and hated it.
"You can make more horsepower with smaller displacement and turbos....."
Ummmm.... how about a v8 that's boosted??? Easily more power....
its about emission laws and fuel economy.
DevasionX ok.... and
declaratedvet 4 banger will be more efficiënt than a na v8, at things like this the manufacture wanted the same model with same power to be more fuel efficiënt. not just "more powerfull" thanks to the turbochargers u get the same power as an v8 vehicle had but with the economy
Not being able to rest my elbow on the window sill is also a deal breaker for me. lol
i can deal with the mustang having the 4 cylinder. the new body design suits it. the camaro on the other hand needs a v8
so happy you said it. Visibility kills this vehicle. Fantastic review!
let's see what a tuned one will do?
David James there's a tuned 2.0 already in the 11s with just bolt ons and a tune
Plus drag radials, limited slip diff, and E85.
The manual comes with a limited slip. I have a tune as well as full bolt ons it's a night and day difference that's for sure. It's a fun car.
I test drove this with a manual, honestly commuting around the 4 cylinder is all I would need. The turbo comes on at 3,500 RPM
What's up with all these American 4 cylinder turbo engines like people were always against imports for having them but my question is are they going to last ?
Nope , they will not last if ya drive em, 3 GAS TANKS .
MIKE BRESLIN Thats not true. They will last just as well as any other GM motor.
Alex Villalobos my friends 2015 ecoboost mustang hit 120k miles with very few problems. I'd say that's good for me
Second generation of the Camaro that had a 4 banger option. Though this is the first time it was available with a turbo. From 1982-1985 they had the 2.5 "Iron Duke".
#BRINGBACKTHECHEVELLE
One of my buddies got an ecobooost premium and I have to be honest, that thing is really nice with the leather seats.
who in their right mind would by a muscle car without a v8... call me old fashion but i want a dog feeling muscle car. back to the basics.
Matt A dodge stays true to its roots
agreed.
Matt A well camaros are now considered sport cars.,, they're shit
Matt A A camaro is not a muscle car it never was and never will be. From day one they were put in the pony car class, aka sports car.
Speaking as somebody who has a V8...lots of people don't want the V8. Buddy of mine got the ecoboost in auto. I got the V8 in stick. But mine is not my daily driver (I have an economy car for that) , whereas he takes his to work year round. So it makes sense. Plus his has 300 horsepower!
pistons, rods, valvetrain, ported head and intake manifold, precision 6061, elite 2500t, 30 psi, e85, 600hp
yes please
Fuck the camaro let's get Orion back the Lexus 😁
JDM Ju5 lets send the swat team to dan's meth lab
Nick Travis lol he still has it I bet he's gonna put it out of commission and bring it back out later in the channel as the og genesis.
Masson 218 😆he looks like he eats it dude
Nick Rodriguez camaro's are better than the Lexus GS 300? 🤔I guess if you like domestics more you'd say that but the tuner in me has to say I'd pick the Lex.
JDM Ju5 Nobody cares about your biased opinion
6'4 and no issues whatsoever when I drove one here in germany recently. Driver ergonomics are much better than in the Mustang imo
As much as a Chevy fan i grown up as, the Camaro loses my vote on styling from the rear. I find the back end hideous and would rather take a Corvette or a 5th gen Camaro anytime of the day
Got to say though that it's so great to have all these engine options.
Just don't get it... if you buy a muscle car... you buy a muscle car because it's a muscle car... for the whole visceral experience.. the sound.. the torque... the power... not this airy, fairy, shit...
Josh Chittenden if you want a muscle car, then you need to go back to the 60's. nothing now days is a muscle car.
Zane Erickson people still consider the challenger a muscle car
Josh Chittenden to bad its a pony car kiddo
Josh Chittenden they've never been real muscle cars. You could bitch and moan about what engines go in what, but if General Motors/ Ford did it, they did it for a reason. Get with the times my dude
this is just an affordable coupe like an accord ir civic coupe. if you start looking at that way, youll understand and appreciate them more
GM's C20X- engine was the record holder for most torque per liter in the Cadett Superboss before the 458 Italia came out. The Honda S2000 had most HP per liter until then as well. If the Camaro has that C20 engine, then you have such a winner!
Here before WWIII
I'd disagree David. I'm 6'4 and fit totally fine
Let's get one thing straight, this will never live up to the nostalgia of a V8 pony car
Venture Rides at all.
If they called it a different name it would sell better
Wow. I seriously live in an age where we did this. No hate, but I'm astonished.
I absolutely hate the visibility of these cars.
What did u mean
@@MIKE07S the cabin is cramped and the windows are tiny inside. It's hard to see what's behind you
Have the 2.0 in my 2019 equinox awd premier and love it. For a 4 banger, it has balls!
True muscle cars have at least 8 cylinders!..
and is over 350 cu in
...I don't know, ..my 2014 Coyote is only 302 cu in and the new Dodge 392 can't pull away from me,... nor i him.
Rea Ality hell I got a '11 392 Challenger w 6spd manual race a '16 auto 5.0 at times we would be door to door.
DantEightSix Hemi 345 doesn't count? K then.
And a brand new minivan can destroy the majority of the older ones in the 1/4 mile.
GM says the 2.0L Camaro competes with V6 Mustang and the Ecoboost Mustang competes with V6 Camaro, but since the V6 Mustang is going away for 2018 I guess the Ecoboost will compete against the 2.0L and V6 Camaro
THOU SHALL NOT PUT A FOUR CYLINDER IN A MUSCLE CAR!
good thing its not a muscle car, it's a pony car, just like the mustang.
there are people who like the camaro for its look and style interior and exterior, and could care less about v4 or v8, this is not a difficult concept
amen brotha
Except the Mustang SVO and the Quad 4 engine which were pushing the envelope of power to weight and power to displacement back in the day.
Brian Carey dont ever say v4
People don't realize that the government each year puts a set regulation on manufacturers that all there vehicles they offer combined and averaged out must make x mpg. That's why they dropped the v6 in the Camaro and mustang. They don't want to get rid of the v8 for obvious reasons and they needed to gain some mpgs somewhere so, turbo 4 cylinder it is
Joshua Plantan and I can attest to the increased mpgs. Very good for the thick body like this
I bet my Fiesta ST would walk this Camaro lol..
Trev_ST oh is it stage 4🌚
I own a 2011 Camaro, and the visibility isn't all that bad. I have always been told that the car has horrible blinds spots, and you feel trapped, but after owning one it really isn't terrible. I have zero trouble seeing out, and beside me. Yes it has less visibility than a mustang, but it makes the car more unique, and doesn't make you feel like you're driving a malibu.
"Dur only mUcSle cArs NeEEd V8s"! This is why the world laughs at Americans mentalities
A market called poser broke teenagers.
The 4.6l is a mustang engine. 2002 Camaro SS is a 5.7l ls engine.
Put the transmission in sport mode and leave it. Nail the throttle and the active shift mode comes on. There's virtually no lag. My car breaks traction in 1st & 2nd gear.
1/2 the engine is missing
The Mustang and the Camaro both had 4 cylinders in the early to mid 80s, my mom actually owned a 4 cylinder Camaro. The Mustang even had a turbo 4 at one point that was supposed to be pretty fast for 80s standards. Not to get political but I think the reason they are putting smaller engines in many of these types of cars, like a turbo 6 in the new Ford Raptor, is because they are trying to meet the new gas millage and emission standards that are or were coming soon, depending on what the current president does. In my opinion, having more options is better for the consumer. In the 60s they had a ton of engine options in cars, now you only get a few or sometimes just one.
what's the intro song name anyone?
I hate how people hate the 4 cylinder or the v6 owners. I currently own a v6 at 20 years old. But trust me, if I could've afforded a V8 that would've been what I would've got. But a lot of us don't have a choice due to the price tags of the v8.
people need to understand its not all about the big bad v8, bigger engine=heavier. people say its not a muscle car cuz it don't have a v8. i have a mustang eco and i don't consider it a muscle car because its a sports car. my eco beats the moddern v8s out there today just with some bolt ons and a tune, heck even makes more power than your big bad v8s. people need to understand times are changing
evin salido lol lets race, see if its true
yeah whenever, u got forza horizon😀
yeah whenever, u got forza horizon😀
Lukas L33 he said it himself, the car is pretty cramped. idk about you but I'd rather have a comfortable daily
Skylar Garrett Damn americans and their LOOK I HAVE A BIG DICK V8.
Budget and no harassment.
Lukas L33 I agree, you don't need a V8 to go fast and Americans fail to understand that.
The seat lowers. My head is nowhere near roof. I am 6"3" and have a 2017 RS.
