Question for you! Is it better to brush your teeth first thing (i.e. before eating breakfast), or after breakfast? My husband have different views on this. :)
I heard that Listerine was acidic like a Ph of 5 and I read that alcohol can cause cancer. But it's the alcohol that kills the bacteria. But research on Listerine also shows it's effective in killing plaque bacteria. So it seems it's both good and bad? Honestly not sure. I've got gum problems so definitely can use all the help I can get.
Thoughts on hydrogen peroxide as a mouthwash everyday? I know someone who uses it everyday for 5 minutes swishes in mouth and never had a cavity and the whitest teeth I’ve ever seen. He’s been doing it for 10 years now.
I was advised by a family friend to have my molars removed so that when my wisdoms grow out, I will not experience pain and will decrease my chances of crooked teeth. At the time, I thought it was a great idea because my teeth aren't crooked, and my wisdom just popped out with too much pain, but when I recently visited my dentist, she that it was a bad idea.🎉
It would be cool if you could revisit oil pulling after doing more research. I'm no expert on it either, but it doesn't seem like you really looked into it before debunking it.
I need more! How about replacing old cavities. Why? How often? What's better the old mercury or tooth color? Do u have to brush the roof of ur mouth? What to do if ur teeth shift after braces? What happens if u use ur teeth on those little plastic balls from the quarter machine? If a tooth chips What do u do? Why do people always say buy Clove oil if u get dental work?
Florida in tooth paste is ok but the Federal Government said drinking it is very bad and ordered it removed from all the water supplies! Check it out! Oh and yes at 72 I have been through hard soft medium and all the above, it seems like a lot of times the medical profession needs to do more research and make up their mind, like I remember when milk and eggs were bad for your health! Oh and do you have a video about gum recession???
Definitely go with the soft bristles and be gentle when you're brushing your teeth. I don't have a video about gum recession, but I'll definitely keep this in mind for future videos.
I have heard that using mouthwash after toothpaste washes away the fluoride, which should be sitting on the teeth for 30mins. Do you still recommend regular listerine mouthwash after brushing? Is there much benefit to using mouthwash on top of brushing and flossing?

@@Dr.BrettLangston I'm a 1950's child where fluoride was thought to be the best thing since ice cream. Sparklett's water with fluoride was a thing. Then, studies came out that said fluoride was bad for the teeth and impacts health. So, now when I see fluoride in toothpaste, I avoid it. Have you any idea of these studies and is fluoride only dangerous when in water?
quitting fluoride was the #1 best thing i did for my teeth. my sensitivity, which was debilitating, is GONE and has been for the past few years since my switch off of it. the dentists i went to recommended an even stronger fluoride toothpaste to help with my sensitivity, but when i saw it made it WORSE, i stopped cold turkey and wow i'm so glad i did!!
My Pa taught me how to use possum grease put down on my tooths before bed to prevent decay. It really works 'cause he had all of his tooths until he was around 34. Bitin' off a plug of chaw heps too.

Do you know about using hydroxyapatite for remineralizing the teeth?
Every dentist say contradictory informations. So what are we to do ?
It can be confusing when dentists have differing opinions, but it's important to find a professional you trust.
I heard that mouthwash is absolutely not good. I'm surprised to see you reccommend it. Could you elaborate?

An alternative to using mints to freshen your breath is swirl a small amount of minty toothpaste :) As a mint addict I find this helps a lot.
I like to chew on fresh cloves.

what is oil pulling?
When you swish coconut oil around for 30 mins. It supposedly removes the toxins from your mouth and strengthens the teeth
Brushing too hard took all my enamel off and eventually ruined my teeth
Use a different tooth paste. There are toothpastes that rebuild enamel.

Baking soda best
Or non fluoride too
Probiotic toothpaste can help. In fact it's the future of toothpaste.
There is bad bad stuff in fluoride. I stopped using it about 3 years ago, of course after the damage was done. I brush with xylotol now..
