Well it most definitely led to systemic inflammation in my whole body, especially after getting Covid almost 3 years ago! I have been dealing with debilitating health issues. Root canal will kill a person slowly. I have one root canal removed and my health went through the roof, my neck pain disappeared and never came back since RC removed.
No medical journal suggests keeping necrotic tissue in the body except dentistry. It's truly an outdated practice. Anaerobic bacteria breeds within the tooth and has no natural defence when the nerves and pulp are removed. These things should be banned.
In my personal experience, I had seven root canal done. Root canal treatment is highly expensive with no guarantee success. It is a very difficult procedure. Although root canal treatment has removed the toothache, but I doubt it removes all the bacteria. A root canal treatment can save your tooth for ten years, and this is not a guarantee, at least in my case, I know it is not. It can not last for ten years.
I go to a dental school for my dental work. I had a RTC treatment done over a year ago and had a crown put on my tooth five days before Christmas (all in the same year). I didn't start having issues with my root canal & crown until this spring. When I was scheduled for a cleaning, I asked for an x-ray to check the crown as it was irratating my gums. I was told nothing was wrong and an x-ray wasn't necessary. Came back 3 months later for my exams (which I had to go through twice) an abscess was found on the gum of my crowned tooth. It was drained. The head docs who looked at my x-rays said that I probably had bacteria coming from the actual tooth that was also apart of the problem. They never gave me any antibiotics. I asked (3 times) why because I had no swollen lymph nodes or fever. The dental school closed for 2 weeks for vacation and I'm stuck trying to treat an abscess for 3 weeks! I had to research how to treat it. Fast Foward to almost 3 months later and I'm supposed to have retreatment of the root canal and the tooth but my insurance won't cover it but want me to pay $$$ again for the same procedure that students failed to do right in the first place! I already spoke with the student that does my dental work and explained to him I won't be paying for either RCT or a new crown. The next appointment I will be requesting an extraction.
I had a root canal on tooth number 7 due to infection (but there was no pain). The infection returned within a month and I was told a apicoectomy was needed. Right after the apicoectomy the tooth became loose. The dentist said an implant was required. I had to have an oral surgeon remove tooth 7. A periodontist did the implant. When my regular dentist installed the crown it didn't fit correctly - there was a space between the crown and the gum. So the crown was sent back to the lab for re-work. The lab added some pink colored enamel to the crown to fill the space between crown and gum. I had it installed but it looks weird. Does not look natural. On top of that I was charged another $1000 for the lab and extra work. The total cost for tooth number 7 was $7500. Dental insurance paid $3000, but I had to pay the rest. And now I have a jacked-up looking tooth.
One good alternative is the use of Biodentine product. Even if preparing a tooth for a crown if there’s a small pulp exposure, covering the exposure with Biodentine material saves the tooth and the crown is all that’s needed. No root canal needed.

When I was 15 a dentist told my family I needed a root canal. Turns out this was a lie and I went through about 3 months of pain while this supposed root canal was being done. Turns out the dentist wasn't even licensed. He just bought some equipment and set up an office. I just stopped going and refused to go back again which left me with a lifelong mistrusted dentists. The dentist was eventually arrested when I was about 20, but not because of me. Because of some other patient. Justice was served because he was sentenced to several years at the Illinois State penitentiary at Joliet where my Uncle Frank happened to be the warden! I personally believe there's no such thing as a root canal and it's just something didn't to say when they feel they want to buy a new Mercedes. I never had that root canal and I still have all my teeth except for the two that that particular dentist removed, and would probably did not need to be removed. I was a healthy 15-year-old with healthy teeth from an upper middle-class family. Except for the aforementioned two teeth, I still have all my teeth and I am healthy. I think root canal is just a scam. And I've been saying that since the 1970s.
Is there anyone who can recommend a good oral surgeon here in Richmond or Vancouver who can extract infected root canal teeth? I’m really scared because most dentists here don’t really acknowledge this type of information, and they don’t have the necessary tools like cbct scan, and ozone therapy for cleaning the infected tooth.
I had to pick between Root Canal and Extraction. So I choose extraction but i can literally feel vthe doctor pulling my tooth out 😱 so now i have a hole in my mouth and its horrible. But probably safer than root canal. I think either experience is negative to be honest.
I had a horrible experience. I’d rather have a tooth pulled. The dentist went up into my tooth without numbing the surrounding area first. He just Shot that needle right up into my tooth. @@sallyjb6209 No. He didn’t ask. He was there the entire time, so he knew I wasn’t numb. After he shot the needle into that spot, I jolted in pain. The lady working with him, I’m assuming either an assistant or hygienist turned to him and said: “you’re not the one who just had a needle shot into you”.

I had a root canal yesterday, but it still hurts a lot. Can anyone please tell me why I'm experiencing this horrible pain and how to get rid of it?!? I'm currently taking three different types of pain medication, but they haven't provided any relief for me
Depends on how the dentist worked with ur tooth, For example when doing the RTC all roots of the tooth must be treated, second molars mostly have 3canals , the dentist must disinfect and fill all the canals
Some teeth have multiple veins, especially the molars. Only 2 major veins will be removed by the dentist, smaller/branched ones are left out, which causes pain after root canal.
I have a question i had my first sitting of root canal on Friday she cleaned up my tooth and filled it with cement and told me to come on Monday and today while drinking coffee some cement came out she's not available for the weekend what should I do?
@@privateprivate5302 nothing to be much concerned about she did another sitting and got done with it no issues with the rootcanal as of today aka 5 months
mine too but my dentist or orthodontist told me she only put temporary pasta so the cement can dry up and after that she will seal it completely.. Mine took about 1 month with constant monitoring and xrays every visit.. But watching these videos now im not so sure about my future with these RC
The option is always to pull the tooth but then putting a titanium implant is ok? Minimally invasive holistic? Keep your teeth as long as you can before extraction and implant. It’s like having an infected finger and instead of treating the infection, amputate the finger instead. It’s a living organ just like a tooth right? Logic is not there. Science is faulty.
Holistic dentistry is conservative because they want to keep as much of the natural tooth structure as possible without damaging healthy tooth structure. A root canaled tooth is not a living tooth, it is essentially gangrene stuck in your body. So of course, if you have gangrene tissue you're going to want to remove it (tooth, fingers, limbs, etc...). You're missing the point.
So my best option is to either have a composite filling or an extraction? I went to the dentist today for the first time in 10 years and was told to get a root canal. However, I decided to go ahead with a composite filling first to see how things will go.
Try rinsing with one of the peroxide containing mouth rinses. IMPORTANT: Also get a toothpaste like Sensodyne with potassium nitrate in it. Nitrate is an excellent killer of anaerobic bacteria (that may be the smell you refer to).
I've had root canals on 3 teeth. Within a few years they became infected again and another root canal was required. The dentists call this a re-treat. Insurance companies don't pay as much for a re-treat as they do for the first root canal. That means re-treats cost a lot of money.
It is not painless as the process gets down. It huuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrt as the dentist worked on my mouth. You can't deaden the gum enough. The next time I had a tooth issue that said root canal, I said no. It was on a back molar. I said pull it. No one will see it. So be it. I don't recommend a root canal if it is for a back tooth. Ouch............. just pull it. Please.

Well it most definitely led to systemic inflammation in my whole body, especially after getting Covid almost 3 years ago! I have been dealing with debilitating health issues. I have had congestion and sinus issues for many years, but not all my life. Now looking back, they developed not long after getting the 2 root canals I have! Covid made everything worse. I am seeing a Biological Dentist tomorrow for the first time ever and getting a Conebeam CT done. I pray to God this is the answer I have been looking for, for so long now! I’m getting them extracted ASAP! Worried that they may find jawbone deterioration. 😔😭
How was the appointment and did you experience and relief in symptoms?
@@johgri2 Hello 😊
The appointment went well. I really like this Dentist I’m working with. She is very thorough and takes her time answering questions every time I have had any. She even gives out her personal number for patients if they have any questions or issues after a surgery.
I have had the first of 3 root canals pulled. It was the last tooth on the bottom right. I definitely have a lot more energy than I have in a long time. Pain in my right knee is gone.
She has also replaced a silver crown in my mouth and also removed the Mercury filling that was under it that I had no idea was there! My regular Dentist never informed me they were putting a Mercury filling in my mouth! 🤬 Needless to say I will not be going back to that Dentist. I have two more root canals to come out and those are on the top left towards the back. I truly believe my health will improve drastically when I get them removed because they are pushing up into my sinus cavity. They have caused sinus issues/congestion and allergies for many years. Only C made everything so much worse. I have had such debilitating issues like respiratory, GI, brain fog, memory loss, food sensitivities, etc…
I am scheduled to get these other two removed April 11th. I’m so scared and nervous. The Dentist and her colleague will also be cleaning the infection out of my sinuses. Evidently it’s been smoldering in there for years!
I just want to hurry up and get it done too. 😣
Are you going thru some health issues that could be linked to your oral health?
@@leannshort2211 yes I’ve been experiencing similar issues and just had my one and only root canal pulled yesterday. My biodentist scraped out the peridontal ligament, cleaned it with ozone and put in PRF from my own blood. Hoping this will help me heal. All the best to you!

Root canal will kill a person slowly. I have one root canal removed and my health went through the roof, my neck pain disappeared and never came back since RC removed.
When teeth hurt what should we do. Teeth removal is a solution? Then you need implants.
Me too. My neck pain was gone once the infected root canal was extracted.
Lol! Hundreds of millions of people worldwide have had root canals and they're fine.

Have you exctracted?

How does that work if your tooth is abscess tooth
Take ur tooth out and have denture bridge or implants… or have no tooth replacement…
1-tooth denture $6-800
2- bridge $3k- 5.5
3- implant $5-7k

Then I saw him pull out pinkish/white long squiggly looking things. I’m now terrified of going to the dentist. I wish they would give people the option of being put out for this procedure.
@@sallyjb6209 No. He didn’t ask. He was there the entire time, so he knew I wasn’t numb. After he shot the needle into that spot, I jolted in pain. He told me “ let’s not make a mountain out of a mole hole”.

I'm currently taking three different types of pain medication, but they haven't provided any relief for me
Depends on how the dentist worked with ur tooth,
For example when doing the RTC all roots of the tooth must be treated, second molars mostly have 3canals , the dentist must disinfect and fill all the canals
Root canals hurt for a average of 2 weeks after a root canal. Give it time.
Some teeth have multiple veins, especially the molars. Only 2 major veins will be removed by the dentist, smaller/branched ones are left out, which causes pain after root canal.

Except the tooth is dead. Do you keep dead finger or amputate?

All my root canals were bogus
I've had root canals on 3 teeth. Within a few years they became infected again and another root canal was required. The dentists call this a re-treat. Insurance companies don't pay as much for a re-treat as they do for the first root canal. That means re-treats cost a lot of money.
They removed four of my son teeth. I’ve never let them remove my teeth like. I was mad that he did that.
Please.

Three years later the dentist reviewed her chart and said it was done wrong and a root was left infected and she needed it re done. They were apologetic blamed a no longer with them dentist and paid to have it done by a specialist in the next town over. During that time my daughter said she was in body pain which we thought was growing pain, she developed fatigue, anemia and depression. She was put on RX. I had a hunch this was all connected and I had no way to discuss it with anyone. No one is willing. She’s 19 now. Should she have it looked at to make sure it’s not causing her systemic problems?
