Tomorrow is Chinese New Year’s eve. we eget a second chance and it lasts 2 weeks. Best part…no cleaning, no haircuts, it is lovely. I think a wise woman created the holiday traditions
When I flipped over the calendar to February, I saw the month will be spent going to all those appointments you encouraged us to make in January! Ha ha! I am proud of myself for making them, though.
I think you did a fantastic January. You had family over and ye laughed loads that’s precious. You moved the new year which I think is a game changer. You hit plenty of goals and be proud of that. I think we should hibernate at winter 🤔🤣 I look forward to all the decluttering you plan and so what if it’s slow at least it’s being done. Have a great week. Mary, Joes wife 🙇♀️👏👍💪💐🙏🐕🦺
Amazing ! When you spoke of your night owl tendencies in winter it was as if a lightbulb went off ! I also seem to revert to that and since im retired i really dont need to fight it . Wow ! Thanks for that insight !
One of the most important things I've learned in recent years is that I absolutely go into hermit mode in January. I set limited goals (if any) and am gentle with myself. I get things done, but at a very different pace. By Imbolc, the sap is rising, and my rest-of-the year rhythm naturally returns. Also, a big fat pft to people who say unkind things. (I'm very judge-y about judge-y people. 😂)
I’m starting to wake up a little earlier and easier now that the sun is coming up closer to my wake up time. My husband got a Philips wake up clock which is great but he sets it for wildly different times each day which messes me up. I need my own! I’ve been missing your full goodbye spiel. Even though I couldn’t really say it along with you beyond the first couple of words, it got in my head :)
80!! not 70....I've been stuck on the 70. I was wondering if Tescos in Liffey valley (one of the biggest in country) comes close. But generally my brain just can't compute how there could possibly be so many aisles, I mean morbid curiosity means I want a tour... but not really, I've the perfect set up, with my husband doing the weekly shop :) Sorry Jan was difficult. Taxes done already, at least from your perspective, is impressive. I'd suggest you're not having a bad month from a professional / GRST perspective but a personal level. Maybe the increasing day light will help for Feb - snow drops / crocuses / daffodils are all out here, and can see a real stretch in the day which brings a smile to me.
Despite what you thought, sounds like a very accomplished January. I kept waiting for the "sucked" portion. You hit many of your goals and had time with family! 😊❤
Lol. January. It just flew by. Where did it even go? Lol. Oomph. Night owl. I had to get to the “surrender” place with that. First step. Stop making moral judgments against myself and stop “striving so hard” to “get up earlier.” Then just “observe” my sleep patterns. Idk after that but I can say at least I have a lot more peace about taking the pressure off of myself about it as well as judgment and self punishing. Besides, many a night owl is what keeps the world functioning. Shout out to all the second and third shift people working just as hard as any “early bird” ever did. My fave new word is “interesting.” It’s what I say when I “observe” my habits or what I did or didn’t do. Just sit back, don’t judge and say “hmm interesting” like I’m a scientist doing an experiment. Lol.
I haven't seen Nate Bargatze live although I've been a fan for a while, but I did just see the Irish comedian Dara Ó Briain in Boston this week🤣 Also, my birthday is in late January, and I decided years ago to treat that as my actual start to the year! I'll take a couple weeks to come down from the holidays and test the waters before committing to any plans, hahaha
My January wasn’t great, either. Our school principal left our district to work for the county superintendent. Then, our finances took a couple hits that left us with less than $200 when my February pay came in. 😢 Three of the four of us got sick with a yucky head cold. My husband is over his, but my daughter is super sick and I’m still coughing. February is doing well, so far. Onward!
You know, mommy, that’s where you are completely wrong: It’s always playtime. On the other hand you realized correctly: If it’s not playtime (which it is, see above), at least it is cuddle time; that’s where you are and acted perfectly right. I hope you are in deep awe following my logic. This Hegel guy doesn’t stand a comparison; he wasn’t a dog, so the poor fella couldn’t help it. 😉🐕🦺
I am sure of that as I am the devoted and well trained mommy of our two incredible and beloved cats who make you want to play and cuddle all the time. You know Loriot? Famous quote, slightly modified: “Life without pets is possible; but it doesn’t make any sense.” All the best and good night!

Good for you! Then they'll all be out of the way. 😁

Go you ❤. Sounds like you achieved loads. Don't be hard on yourself.
I enjoyed the One Minute Monday newsletter. You can't go wrong with a good college story that involves a life lesson learned!

Embrace it!

Really enjoy the newsletter. It helps to get me moving and getting things done.
Aw, thank you so much, Ann, I really appreciate that. 💖
I thought of you this week as I refilled my soap containers. I'm still thankful.
Ah, yay!

I wish my kitchen looked like yours! 😍
The kitchen was basically what sold me on this house.

Sounds like your January was a bit of a rollercoaster…. Hope your February is going great. 😊 👍🏻
It is not. 😂 But thank you!
awe, I'm sorry to hear that... 🤗 (*hugs* if that's ok).
Hopefully March will be better.

Oh yeah, it was great in terms of goals. But personally it sucked. 😂
Agree, didn’t understand why you thought it sucked? Hoping February will feel better. Maybe it was due to the physical pain suffered. Feel better ❤

Good plan! I saw Dara a few years ago in Dublin. He's hilarious. Did you enjoy the show?
@@HowToGYST I loved it! I go to a few comedy shows every year, and the energy was delightful!

My January sucked too.
Sending hugs.

Plenty of play time before and after. 😂
