I just love your channel ❤ you are such a kind person 😊. I’ve been watching you since you lived in Ireland and taught as all how to fold underclothes in away that took up less space. I was there when you Marie Condo’d your home in Ireland and watched you move to America. I didn’t know you were moving back to Ireland. Please keep your channel going, you’ve helped me so much and so many others!! You are a blessing ☀️❤️🙏🏻
I am in awe of how much stuff you were able to declutter given how simple your house is already. You've definitely inspired me to give it another thorough run through on my house. I'm always doing little declutters, it's time for a whole house purge. 🌻🍄
Wow, take a bow 🙇♀️ and enjoy the trifle. I honestly can’t belief you even found stuff not to mind the amount you got rid of. Last weekend I asked my daughter to help me with my half of the wardrobe and 30 items left. I asked her again this weekend and we did 2 drawers and I’ve another 37 items going from them. I’m absolutely delighted with myself. Yes I totally agree you have to keep going around looking in the rooms, wardrobes and drawers to let it sink in and of course be proud of yourself. Looking forward to seeing what you’ll find on next floor. Have a great week. Mary, Joes wife 🙇♀️👏💪👍🙏💐🐕🦺
Lara, I so relate to your skirt story and sentimental clothes. I don't have 2 dresses that I wore early in my career, but I wish I had photos of me in them I have such fond memories of them. Good job decluttering your sentimental items.
I have that same Tupperware box! When I moved around the country a lot, I referred to it as my desk because I kept my office supplies in it. It's empty now but I refuse to get rid of it. 💜 I hope you keep posting to your channel when you move back home.
Thank you for being so open as you decluttered, Lara! The thinking out loud has helped me realize that there are things which still fit, but I wouldn't wear anymore. Another closet declutter is in order for me - starting with my shoes - so many I just wouldn't wear (not going to wear the really high heels ever again!) Keep up the excellent work - loved it!
You are so inspiring. I to have so much that I don’t use or need, so I’ll give it ago again. It sure is so nice to have less to manage. Thank you for your videos.
Fantastic job. It’s good to see someone who struggles to declutter some things when you declutter all the time. That is a big job. I’d love some of your trifle. Looks delicious ❤
Congrats on finishing the top floor! I don't know if it would help you to part with your sentimental items, but suits can help people who don't have a job get one. So it helps a lot if they can get some for cheap in second-hand shops. In some countries there are even organisations you can donate suits to that would give them to people for free when they need one for an interview.
I am like the same so many duvets and quilts and then cleaning them because maybe my son's will want one or two or if they do want one or two I have to clean them anyway so I can't cut that step out. You have so much space 😊
Been following you off and on for a few years now. I remember when you first moved to the USA. Are you moving back to Ireland now? Beautiful country...visited it a few times and looking forward to going again x
Joseph’s Coat of Many Colours ?! 😮😢I’m going to get my photos taken on Saturday to apply for my Irish passport. I bought a copy of my wee mammy’s birth certificate which arrived yesterday, so I’ll be singing Oro Se Do Bheatha Bhaile with the best of them soon! 😊❤
Aww, get well soon Scout! Great job Laura! You're always such an inspiration👏🤩 I dream of getting back to my old, more minimal ways after my (not so) little ADHD tornado of a Butterfly grows up 🤭 One day he'll be ready to part with old wrappers and scraps of paper, but not today... Certain items will be given to his baby cousin very soon though! (He was born in September 💗) 🥳
You are the Best inspiration fore the minimalist. Is home Irland? I love your Chanel! ❤️Hugs f Sweden 🇸🇪 I want to visit Irland, I Love everything about it! Am I wrong?😊
Some things do but the thing is that you don't know for how long. The manufacturer can only guarantee its safety up until the expiry date. After that the components are likely to start breaking down. After that, at best the medication won't be as effective. At worst it will be dangerous.
Hi! I have never commented on one of your videos before, but I did want to ask if you have taken any of your sentimental clothes to tailor who you trust and have a good relationship with? Sometimes they can do amazing things with the clothes that you absolutely love, but do not fit into. They could even probably take apart the cuff sleeve of your favorite dress. Just an idea.😊
We have changed the duvets on our bed to x2 singles and our guestroom has x2 single beds now instead of a double so we had spare duvets I was reluctant to get rid of. I'm glad I didn't because we've been using them in the lounge this winter, one on the floor folded into a dog bed, and the other on the sofa to snuggle under!
What is your moving timeline? You seem to be going pretty fast. BTW: Resolve carpet cleaner will take care of Jovie’s caprpet mess. I use it with my cats all the time.
You struggle with letting go of clothes that hold special memories….but you’ll never wear them again! They don’t (won’t) fit ….they’re not current style or purposeful so they have no ‘use’. TAKE PHOTOS of them. That way you’ll be able to recall the occasion but you’ll be free of the stuff.
The point was simply to know that I'd decluttered absolutely everything I could on the entire upstairs floor of my home. They weren't cluttered but I still got rid of stuff.
I love that you say Ireland is home. I am excited about your move. You are inspiring. Every time I declutter I watch your videos. Thank you! 🤍
Aw, thank you! Ireland will always be home. 💚

Konmari round one! Me, too!
I appreciate you so much! Thanks for sticking around for so long! It'll be a full circle moment when we move back. 😁
Yes, I remember the early KonMari days!!

I was pretty horrified. 😂 And the upstairs is easy compared to what the rest of the house will be like. 😬
-Ogres- declutterings are like onions; they have layers! 😜💗 ... Time for another layer round here too.
@@HannahRainbow88 lol, I will now don my armor and slay the next wave of ogres!
I really like hearing you go through the thought process for each item. I can relate to alot of what you are thinking and deciding.
Well done Laura.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I loved hearing little Scout’s voice. Hope she feels better soon.🙏
She's feeling loads better now, thank you. 💖

I think there are so many things we don't realise are so special until many years later.

Oh yeah, I've got rid of so many heels over the years.

You are the champion, my friend!
😂 Thank youuu!
Hope your daughter gets well, soon! Look forward to vlogs in Ireland!
She's much better now, thank you.
Congrats! I am so glad to hear about your accomplishment and reward! 🎉
Thank you so much, Ashley!
Love the Book Nerd shirt! And I agree about US laundry machines. 😁
Ginormous!
It's amazing how much you decluttered looking through the lens of:
Will I use this before it's time to move?
Do I plan to pack this for the move?
Moving can definitely be a big motivator when it comes to decluttering.
Oooooh you have been busy. Very inspiring 🎉😊
So glad it's done. Dreading the rest of the house. 🤣
I appreciate your light bulb moments. I’m at work right now. All I can think about it rushing home and do some decluttering. Thanks 🎉💜💕💜
Can't believe I'm still having them after all these years. 😅
Good job letting go of the skirt. You captured the memory in this video!
Enjoyed your video today !
Thanks so much!
Hi laura.I just love your channel. You always give me motivation when I want to declutter.

Oh yeah, I’ve donated all the others. These are just particularly meaningful to me so I’m not quite ready to part with them yet.

Funny memory,, I love the sweater you have on. Good job declutterring!
Aww, get well soon Scout!

Oh there were way more scraps of paper kept than I would have liked. 😂
I have that same tupperware box that I use for various bits and bobs for sewing too. I think it was my grandmother’s.
Love this video ❤
Yay! 😁
Please keep the pink comforter it is so beautiful.
Yes Laura, you deserve the trifle. Hope it was delish. ❤
Always. 😁
Please where did you get your cardigan it looks really good thanks j scotland
I wish I could remember! It was a random store in Belfast.
Are you bringing Jovie to Ireland with you? If so, how long does she have to stay in quarantine there?
We are. I haven't looked into any requirements yet.
You are the Best inspiration fore the minimalist. Is home Irland? I love your Chanel! ❤️Hugs f Sweden 🇸🇪
I want to visit Irland, I Love everything about it! Am I wrong?😊
Yes, home is Ireland. 🇮🇪😁
I decluttered our medicine drawer but my friend said some things last way past the expiration date. So, I put some back. I need to Google it.

I've had a few things tailored over the years. Some miracles can't be performed though. 😂
We have changed the duvets on our bed to x2 singles and our guestroom has x2 single beds now instead of a double so we had spare duvets I was reluctant to get rid of. A black fabric marker should fix your Tshirt faux pas.
YES to a fabric pen / fabric paint which you iron (with an old tea towel or cotton rag over it - don't dye your iron) to fix it in like permanent dye.
Thank you!!! Gonna source one.
You are another step closer to going home. I would love to go with you and get out of this country.
Ive been dropping off stuff to the Goodwill every saturday
Good for you! Creating space for yourself. ✨
What is your moving timeline? You seem to be going pretty fast. BTW: Resolve carpet cleaner will take care of Jovie’s caprpet mess. I use it with my cats all the time.
great video... listening to your process
Now full updated house tour ❤
Maybe when I get the rest of the house decluttered. 😂
New owners may appreciate hangers.
Did you make youtube videos before you moved to the US? Will you till be making videos after you move back to Ireland?
Yes, and yes. 😁 That's the current plan, at least.
Didn’t know you were moving back to Ireland.
Eventually, yes.
Unicorn soap: use shower gel in it!!!
Wonderful idea!
Any worries about moving back. I imagine it may be a huge change for your kid.
Just about where we're going to live, and trying to get Scout into a school.
What is your plan for the furniture when you move?
Probably leave most of it behind. Or sell it.
The snake skirt- I love the story! Do you have a picture of you looking fabulous in it where you could document the story beside it?
I don't, sadly, and it's a long time since it fit me. But don't worry, I'll never forget the story. 😂
I have things that my daughters want now. So now I'm not always sure what I want to give away 🎉
Let them come and take it all away for you. 😉
Take a picture of the skirt and mount it in a book with the story.
No need, it's not something I'll be forgetting any time soon. 😂
I hope your little one is feeling better now 😔
She is, thank you.
If you've got space keep the duvet!
❤
Just realised that you stole your mother’s sewing kit and she stole your Maker’s clean mop 😅
We're the most pathetic thieves ever. 🤣
@@HowToGYST"a fair exchange is no robbery" or whatever the exact quote was 🤔 I forget 🤭
👏👏👏👍💞

TAKE PHOTOS of them. That way you’ll be able to recall the occasion but you’ll be free of the stuff.
Whats the point of 'decluttering' the bedside cabinets , when they only have about 4-5 Small things in them. Waste of time, they weren't cluttered!
The point was simply to know that I'd decluttered absolutely everything I could on the entire upstairs floor of my home. They weren't cluttered but I still got rid of stuff.
