got the same issue with my cruze, I call it the posession symptom. replace that connector and you're good to go. no need to solder any wires either if you have the right de-pin tool to push the terminals out :) cruze on brotha! +1 sub
I've been having problems with my Chevy cutting off while driving and cranking but no start. I took my car to Pep Boys they diagnosed, a catalytic converter and throttle body which came up to 4000$ so I declined. I took it to another auto shop and they diagnosed the coil pack but that didn’t fix the problem. over time it kept breaking down and cranking but did not start until one day I was driving and my car broke down and wouldn’t start so I went under the hood with no mechanic experience and decided to unplug the connector from the coil pack and plug it back in and the car started right up. so the very next day I went on Amazon and purchased a coil pack connector for my Cruze and had it installed and my car has Been running fine ever since.
i own 2 vehicles with this motor this worked on both ZIP-TIE wrapped it threw the middle of the pigtail and round the first coil closest to the plug. it was temp. it works so good i found no reason to change. plus i could use the money saved to fix the one of the many other problems.
You've got to play with the tab. It has to be pulled out just enough for the whole housing to go back into the port itself. And you got To turn it 90° counter clockwise, if you're standing in front of have it to wear. The orange end is up in the air. Then put it down in there, then turn it back. Counter clockwise to where it will fit. Normally like it does and try it that way.If not, then adjust the orange tab somewhere. It's tricky but if you play with it for a minute, you'll figure it out.I just did it today after breaking it and my car runs fine. There's no issues as far as that piece goes
Same exact problems with my Cruze I had 2 stripped threads on the valve cover block I took it to a shop in Michigan and they rethreaded the threads and put in slightly bigger screws. P0171 code is gone no oil spills. Now I'm gonna take it to an electric shop to see if the can depin the ignition coil connector wires and pin it into another connector.
I have a connector i cut off another car the locking tab is molded in place i have to remove whats left of the wires with pins frome this one and use it because mine is broke as well
Thank you for your info i have 255000 miles on my 2011 chevy cruze and have changed everything on it expted the alternator and timing chain , i just changed the coil pack i have not had a problem with the missing plastic clip on the coil pack i will keep my eyes 👀 on it 😊
Hi John! I just learned about a $3 part that could make your day real bad. The timing chain guard, a little plastic guard, gets cracked and will break off possibly throwing the chain? I wanted you to know because I want to see you get 300 thousand and beyond!! Lol. Have a good one!
On your stripped out holes there's a company called timesert they sell steel insert kits for every type of threaded hole that you drill and countersink them in it's a steel on steel threaded insert they are bulletproof and you can't strip them out I use them all the time
That’s not a switch, it’s a connector. Also, “3 of the 71 in-lb bolts have stripped, I guess I’ll replace the entire head” is wrong if you know how to use a helicoil, but ok…
I've got helicoils in almost every spot now. Lol. Unfortunately I'm very familiar. I'm learning as I go. These junk cars are a mechanics nightmare. (Or dream of you are getting paid? )
Come on man talk this video could have been half as long if you could get your words out. My daughters Cruze is cranking I can get it to start by working the gas pedal starts fine after it warms up a bit. But I can’t seem to find the problem
I'm sorry I didn't meet your standards. Let me script it next time. C'mon man!! It was what, 6 or 8 minutes??? Are you that much in a hurry?? Lol. Easy bud. It's just a video. I see what I get for trying to help. Oof!

Can I see how you did it

These things are quite the machine eh??? Lol. Seriously though, thanks for sharing.
I'm not sure if my problem is the same
had same issue, ended up being a loose ground right below the coil plug
I’m having this exact problem, I’ll try that
Or you could put clear adhesive silicone glue around it like I did never came loose since I broke the orange peice
Wish I would’ve saw this video before I took it to the mechanic…well got a new fuel pump and a new connector now
Sorry bud. That's usually how my luck works as well!! Good luck! Glad you took a look and commented! I appreciate that!!

Thank you Gene! That's what I need. I had no idea. Much appreciated!
Same problem i think I'll try the connector idea. Thanks for the video
Welcome. Hope it helped
Put it back on , it's the lock to the connection.
Grab a pig tail and solder the wireing cost around $25 bucks plus your time good luck with it
My air o take sensor sry rotted off so my Cruze has been giving me hell in the winter summer is fine
Did ya get it fixed?
Where did you get the orangr part
That was the locking clip that broke off.
You can buy new ignition connector for 20box
My connecter lock come out and i put it back in.
Is it still working? Was it difficult to reconnect??
My cruze is doing the same thing
I literally put plastic welder and the car is good for now
Yes zip the the part down
That’s not a switch, it’s a connector.

Take the connector off . Slip the catch in place and reattach it
How did you get that part
