@silent_kid23 pretty much. I bought some special wire loom tape at the advance auto so that I can keep the wires together in a neat fashion and I spliced in the connector. I crossed two wires and the car wouldn't start so I had to check the splices again and make a correction. She runs strong. I advise you shell out for the AC Delco connector because the Amazon special I got was a little tight and I broke the locking tab. Good news is it's so tight I don't think it's going anywhere but it's going to be a pain when I have to replace the coil
@@Trip1443 i changed out the Ecu computer I replaced coil pack like 3 times would of thought the mechanic would of changed out connector and cables but not sure on that part but I noticed when I move those specific cables my car starts back up few minutes later in cuts off so I feel the wires n connector needs to be replaced! But thanks for ur help man!
Hey thanks for this video! I'm holding the orange tabbed locking mechanism in my hand. It fell out and car died when the wire harness slipped off the coil pack. So you are saying the locking tab is broke now? Any way to reattach the locking tab? It didn't look broke. It just looks like it fell out?? I dunno. This car is a real joy to own! Lmao!
Sorry for the serious late reply ….you can glue it on with crazy glue or zip tie it around that base Clip….not worth replacing because of the Clío just Falling off.
@@2jzday2day hey better late than never right? Lol. But seriously, thank you for responding. You didn't have to. I looked into a new one but it comes as the whole set up! Wire harness and all. I don't need all of that so I went with the zip tie idea. All is well there. Thanks again and be safe!
Dude, the same connector you reference for $80 Amazon sells for $12.40 and ZZPerformance for $11.99. Not sure why SMP charges $80 for the connector. These car were made is mass production and there should be enough of an aftermarket to keep prices down on parts like connectors.
FWIW I put an aftermarket on and was just stranded on a road trip, car shut off, wouldnt restart. Wiggled it around and finally got it to start and headed straight back home. Replacing with an OEM as soon as it gets here. Lesson learned
Thanks for the video man, 141k miles and my tab was broken long ago. Now giving ne issues. This video should be archived
Was ur car shutting of on its own ?

@@Trip1443 same here man!! So you changed out the connector with the 7 cables ?? Just trynna be sure before I buy all that stuff !

ZZP has them for 11.99
dealership charged me 500$ for that😞
I’m sorry
Don’t spend your money buying the connector at an autozone or advanced autoparts bc it’s way overpriced. Zzp has it for the cheapest!!!
