@@killingmastaonestly, if you’re looking for power gains in the long run and you live in a hotter climate area, you’re better off sticking to a full CAI (cold air intake) that is actually heat wrapped (usually with gold intake wrap). A cheaper, more common way to avoid heatsoak (most successfully), would be to run a high flow air filter (K&N, aFe, Takeda, AEM) to the stock air box. You can even option to swap out the stock airbox hosing/piping for some upgraded silicone hosing (HPS). This will delete the extra resonance chambers and baffling from the OEM intake hosing/piping, which will give you a bit of air induction sound, although not a ton like a legitimate aftermarket intake system (with an exposed air filter element). You can delete the stock intake resonator chamber if you’d like, but in my case, I decided to keep it, as it was connected to the front grille shroud by the top of the hood (when closed). Really good video, probably one of the more straightforward approaches. One question though, do you see any benefit to removing the rest of the stock snorkel system? Since it was designed to feed cold air from the front of the engine bay it seems it would provide some benefit leaving it. Another video mentioned removing it to improve airflow, but that seems counter intuitive to me.
nice tutorial! I wish I'd have seen a video like this when I installed mine 3 years ago on my 2013 accord sport. I probably don't have to clean mine yet but how do you recommend to clean the air filter?
One thing that I do not understand about this video/cold air intake is the car is designed by factory to take in air through a tube that leads to the front of the hood/car. At 6:46 you can see that the air filter is not connected to the actual factory air intake tube... can someone explain to me if this is meant to be designed that way on purpose? It just seems fishy or odd to me that the cold air intake doesn't hook directly up to the intake tube.
Love your videos. Do you plan on getting the Lexus style aftermarket tailights anytime soon? Waiting for you to get those before I pull the trigger on one of those lol. Or do you have any brands you would recommend? I have an sedan btw

Great video as always. I'm looking for a short ram intake for my Civic and was glad to see you install yours to get an idea on the process. I would like to know if you received any error lights and do you plan on keeping it installed.
rsilinnyc no errors. I've read a few people experience error lights but the problem was because they didn't reconnect the map sensor. I plan on keeping it until I no longer own this veichle.
What about the open hose end (located under the new KN air filter)? It previously connected to the old stock air filter housing. Do you just leave it open? What does it do??
There is a video that I saw, that I just can't find again, where a guy removed the entire air channel box that runs from the grill underneath to the intake. He said only then will you actually get hp increase and crazy down low torque.
I have one on my 14 Accord Sport and its increased my mpg 1-2 mpg. I was getting a consistent 28 mpg stock and now am getting 29-30 mpg. I got 34 mpg on our trip to south Carolina last year, we are about to leave for SC again tomorrow, I'm gonna see what it gets this year with the K&N.
