A very good video to illustrate how to install after market illuminated door sills. It is very similar to the instructions from Honda OEM parts, except these third party kits DO NOT come with any instruction and ALL necessary parts to install them. As he pointed out, you need to get your own cleaning alcohol, zip ties, cushion tapes and electric tape to secure the wiring harness and prevent damages to the harness. One thing that is good about these after market kits: all door sills are illuminated, the OEM only light the front two door sills. They also come in either blue or red LED so you can pick and choose to match with ambience lights from Honda. In fact, I install both the OEM red ambience light and the RED illuminated door sills because I basically opening up the same trim and run the wiring harnesses under the dash at the same time. Per Honda instruction, you would want to line up the front of the door sill with the first hole in the body on both side so they are matching. You would want to use masking tape to mark it along with additional masking tapes along the side so when you apply the door sill, you know exact where it should go before removing the backing tapes. With the OEM kits, you also get mounting tape and a small clip for each side to hide the wiring and prevent it from get damage. In lieu of that, you would HAVE to get some 3M cushion tape to cover the door opening before wrapping the harness over it to prevent damage. You would also want to tape electrical connectors from the wiring harness to each of the door sill to prevent it from coming loose later. In addition, if the vehicle electrical panel is already FULL like mine did, after I already installed the OEM remote start system, you have to connect the 8 pin connector to the spare connector from the other OEM wiring harness, you CANNOT plug this directly into the panel. Last but not least, you WOULD want to zip tie the wiring harness to the vehicle harness so they don't get damaged accidentally. The only thing I don't know about is how long these after market door sill kit will last as compared to the OEM. These kits are made for the Chinese markets and get imported here, quality control could be not so great, you may end up doing it again in a year or two.

If you bought them from the same place I did. You have to connect the wires like I did in the video. The wires should be long enough. Send me some pictures on My facebook if you have more problems.
