just a tip for everyone who cares: always leave your sensor(s) in the respective housing until needed to transfer. The reasons for this is, any minor particles (dust or whatever) can get on the sensor and can throw off the readings. Trust me, learned this first hand. You always want to leave it in the housing until you have to transfer it to your new/old housing. This minimizes all mistakes and allows you to work freely. Thumbs up if you feel me =]

Both Ebay and k&n sounds pretty good. I like my prl one for the simple fact it uses the stock box to help with heat soaking and my piece of mind. It was a toss up between k&n and prl when I was in the market. No regrets here. The k&n does sound make the engine sound more beefier than the prl I have. But anything is better than stock. instead of welding to avert the rattle of the K&N heat shied, just use some rubber slide on door guard on the metal air gaps, no rattle ... cheap solution
I still prefer my takeda. I had a 2013 accord and installed the k&n stage 2 typhoon cold air intake same set up. I prefer the box to prevent heat from entering the intake also it keeps it cleaner for a longer period of time

So those lights actually popped up because when you disconnect the battery it resets your ecu so your ecu basically comes back to life and eventually realizes it’s fine
Ive used these on my cars and trucks. The real K&N kits are great. For California they come with a CARB sticker, making it smog legal... REQUIRED... Better performance and better gas milage, these paid for themselves in about 2 years.
When you get lights on your dash Its bcus cuz you took off of the positive connection of the battery but once you put it back . Just run the car and you should be fine. Good set up bro

I installed a K&N filter on my car but it came with a can of spray on oil used prior to installation. Also a can of cleaner for the 50K Kilometre service. Literally rinse and repeat every 50K.
@@Iegend17 The K&N filter kit was about $40 USD and has lasted longer than the 6 disposable filters at $12 USD each. There is still enough spray oil and cleaner to replace another 10 filters easily. So you pay a little more initially, but save over $150 USD and keep unnecessary waste from the land fill.
You don’t really need to remove the negative terminal right? I got my car programmed for remote start. I don’t want that to get messed up just being safe. I will order the AEM cold air intake. Do you recommend K&N or AEM. I’m getting AEM because it maches more the color of my red accord.
Ebay unit would more then likely cost you horse power then help you out. An intake needs to be enclosed a shielded from the heat in order for it to be efficient.

2 min 10 seconds in... 2 problems: 1- giving in to people telling him it's cheap and need something more expensive... not better, especially without tuning it. 2- "remove negative terminal to change air intake" then proceeds to remove positive. I appreciate the effort in the video, especially the comparison of both intakes. But damn man, do what works for you, not everyone who wants to tell you how to spend your money. But more importantly, learn why it's important to remove the negative, not positive, and what you're saying/doing as you give instruction.
CARiD is good but when you find the product on there go to the source and buy from them. CARiD is 3rd party so more likely charge more for the product.
As a mechanic I don’t know what that washing noise is but it sounds awful like a serious vacuum leak. I don’t know why you would put that on that thing is a disaster. KN filters ultimately because they are filled with oil damage the MAF sensor which screws up the computer and causes all different types of idling and fuel trim issues. You’re better off using a Purolator or a Wix filter any day of the week

Recalibrate is the term you are looking for. After unplugging the battery and after the back up capacitors drain for the ECU (ECU=car computer), the car will need to go through a relearn procedure and recalibrate all the sensors. I like what you are doing by showing a how to, I commend you for doing it yourself but you should become more familiar with the terminology used on cars. EG its called a mass air flow sensor, or MAF for short. People actually call them a maf too, rhymes with laugh. Good job though, next up you should look into replacing your down pipe, up pipe, and intercooler to help your engine breath better.

I heard that k&n intake is good but it rattle due to openings on metal box. It needs to be solder on conners to prevén rattle or unusual noises 👍

Why would you want to draw in hot under hood air instead of cooler outside air? OEM intake is designed to pull air from outside where it's cooler.

you should remove the filter, out everything back except the steel pipe, it will work better
It's generally a good idea to leave the filter on as it is supposed to stop dirt and debris from getting into your intake and engine

The K&N is better in all aspects accept the sound , for some reason the Ebay intake sounds better
Quality is much better K&N
