We compare the pros and cons between various types of performance air intake systems to determine which mod is right for YOUR Honda Accord project build! Whether you're looking for horsepower gains, or just to hear the sound of the engine, and in this case the turbo pulling in the air, this video will give you information needed to help you decide if a K&N panel air filter, PRL Stage 1 Intake, PRL Stage 2 / HVI, AEM air intake system, Mishimoto air intake system, aFe Takeda air intake, Injen air intake, etc is the best air filter intake system modification for your (2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022) Honda Accord project car.

    • @TheLemonFactor

    I have 2019 honda accord 2.0 manual and to save your money and time do not insrall a mishimoto air intake unless you are tuned!! It was making my car sliggish and wasnt helping proformance to my car, for the 10 speed it improves for some reason ..its wierd

      The k&n short ram one made me lose low end torque. ECU designed to only intake a certain % of air and the heat soak doesn't help. Def need a tune

  • @TrungLe-tb2jj
    @TrungLe-tb2jj ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I have a stupid question. Can I remove the plastic air intake duct to increase sound? I have a K&N drop in panel filter. If I just remove the air duct would I get more sound out of that? Or is it more damaging to do that

    • @TheLemonFactor
      @TheLemonFactor  ปีที่แล้ว

      Are you referring to the OEM box cover, or the actual inlet leading to it?

    • @TrungLe-tb2jj
      @TrungLe-tb2jj ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TheLemonFactor the actual inlet that let the air go into the box cover. The box cover stays on but would removing the air scoop. I saw it some where in a TH-cam shorts but I never got to hear a sound clip or anything like that.

    • @TheLemonFactor
      @TheLemonFactor  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I really don’t think it will make a difference in sound.

      I’ve released a series of videos in which I install and dyno test the most popular air intakes for the 10th Gen Honda Accord… check them out on the TH-cam channel page - the results may surprise you !

    If the “cold air intakes” aren’t closed wouldn’t they just be sucking in hot air from under the hood. It just seems counterproductive. I never really understood that.

    • @TheLemonFactor
      @TheLemonFactor  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good point. None of the air intakes currently offered are real “cold air intakes” 🤷‍♂️

    The next time when you do the dyno I recommend you putting some racing oil to not damage the engine in those hard scenarios.

      Did you watch the entire video?!? If you did, you'd know that this video identifies the air intakes available along with the manufacturer's power claims. I clearly state at the end of the video that we'll be installing and testing for sound & power (DYNO TEST) several of the air intakes, which was done.

      This will be a multi video series covering install, dyno results and sound recordings for each intake. As such it will span many weeks so that the car’s ECU has time to learn each air intake. It’s going to take me some time 🤷‍♂️
