@macuser575 This kit showed an actual increase of 11.13 HP and 10.47 lbft at the wheel on our average dyno pull; this is about a 9% estimated increase over stock with only our intake system installed. I can assure you we don’t make these numbers up, they are all real gains.
The system will not pull any more water than the OE system. Keep in mind, the filter is oil treated, and water and oil repel from each other. Also, you would have to submerge the vehicle to the hood line to have the filter submerged. If this happened, you would have much bigger problems then the intake pulling water.
To install this kit, you will need: 3mm allen wrench, 10mm socket, 10mm wrench, extension, flat blade screw driver, phillips screw driver, pliers and a ratchet

Can I install this on my 03 accord 2.4 ?
This intake system sound awesome I really don't know about faster but I must emphasize it sure sound great, I love it. The system took me 20 minutes its pretty simple and I'm not a mechanic. You will need to purchase 2 3/4" hose clamps, that would do the job.
The heatshield blocks direct radiant heat from the filter, to prevent the filter from heat soaking. The air temp will always be the same as the temp air you are driving through.

@Aero2121 You will feel the increase of power in acceleration and throttle response. Our intake systems do add to sound, but this varies on the engine it is being installed on.

@JohnZzzist Most K&N air intake systems are warranted for 1,000,000 miles which exceeds the warranty offered on the original factory intake system. The installation of an air intake system should not void your factory warranty. It is never a bad idea to contact your local dealership and ask them before purchasing the new K&N system whether they will object. If they tell you an air intake system will void your vehicle warranty, please contact us and we will speak with the dealership..
This kit is part number 69-1211TTK. It is not 50 state legal at this time because it is not CARB exempt. An aftermarket intake alters the OE emission control of the crank case vent line; this alteration must be approved by CARB to become exempt.
Its merely a safety precaution.
Actually might buy this was considering the air filter but am concerned of getting more debris into my engine bay actually may purchase this intake though

Does anyone know if this upgrade causes and engine code, I plan on buying one of these for the incredible sound and the little boost in power. And I don’t have a Hondata or a ktuner and I’m not looking to spend $1000 on one any info would be helpful.

K&N does not test for, claim or guarantee fuel economy gains. There are over 30 factors that determine fuel consumption; intake restriction is only one of those factors. Most of our consumers report back an increase in MPG; these reports are available on our testimonial page on your website.

@Doggsniper Unfortunately, that information is not given to us by CARB. The approval weighs on them. AEM does not have a CARB legal kit for this application; they do not produce a kit for this application at all.
@snoman6363 We produce kit 69-1208TS for your vehicle; this kit is a complete cold air so it can convert from a short ram to a cold air.

We submit all of our kits to CARB for exemption. It usually takes them 2-4 years to exempt a new kit, which makes it street legal. We don’t choose to make kits legal and not legal; they are built the same and sent in for exemption.
Because the 177 stated by Honda was measured at the crank on an engine dyno, where we have measured at the wheels on a chassis dyno. All vehicles lose power throughout the powertrain.
We submit all of our systems to CARB for exemption, but do not know when or if they will become exempt.
It’s possible, but we couldn’t confirm as we are in the US and have never fit tested to a European model.
This kit is currently not CARB exempt. We submit all of our kits to CARB for exemption, but I usually takes them 2-4 years to exempt a new kit.
@yoyohihe5 The correct kit for your application is 69-1210TS. This kit will only work if your vehicle has a MAF sensor.

@djlawlesz This tube is aluminum; at 0:24 you can see the welds on the tube and the MAF sensor adaptor.

I'd like to install a throttle body spacer, but I have the k&n intake installed. Will I see any problems installing a TBS?

Stock is super loud while driving. But i believe have a larger exhaust and have it tuned for it would help make more power

It looks dope and specially the sound but I heard from mechanic TH-cam saying this racing intake system it’ll damage the engine and as soon as you install it the check engine light turns on so I’m kinda hesitated to buy one so please if anyone who installed this air filter intake and have no problem with the car let me know 😊
