දුම්රිය දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ වෙළඳ සහ අලෙවි අංශය දුම්රියෙන් එළවළු ප්‍රවාහනය කිරීම සඳහා විශේෂ දුම්රිය මැදිරි පහක් සකස් කළා.
නියමු ව්‍යාපෘතියක් වශයෙන් නානුඔය දුම්රිය ස්ථානයේ සිට කොළඹ කොටුව දක්වා එළවලු ප්‍රවාහනය කිරීම ආරම්භ කර තිබුණේ දුම්රිය දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව සහ පෞද්ගලික අංශය එක්වයි.
කොළඹ පිහිටි සුපිරි වෙළඳසැල් සහ මැනිං වෙළඳපොළ ඉලක්කය වුනා.
කොහොමහරි වැඩේ නැවතුනේ වියදම් වැඩි නිසා.

The Trade and Marketing Division of the Railway Department prepared five special train coaches for transporting vegetables by train.
As a pilot project, the railway department and the private sector had started transporting vegetables from Nanu Oya railway station to Colombo Fort.
Supermarkets and Manning Market in Colombo were the targets.
Anyway, the work was stopped because the expenses were too high.
