OMG! Rosa! I absolutely loved this❤ I got the biggest kick out of you cooking those noodles in that massive pan 🤣 You reminded me of a street vendor in the night markets. I do a lot of food prep even though it’s just me. I freeze mason jar size portions of chilli or soup. I bake breads and buns because it makes my life easier. This way I always have homemade food every time. 🙂
Hello Mary! Yes exactly I miss seeing that on the streets and really I I just miss the Asian culture and all the street food that’s cheap and so delicious! Cooking for our large family is like cooking for a restaurant, I think I’m getting my work experience in 😂
Can you explain how you use the baking soda and vinegar in place of baking powder? It's getting harder to find baking powder without aluminum in it and I'm really interested to see how this would work. Even though it is just me and my husband currently we still eat pancakes just about every Saturday. He grew up eating peanut butter on them, along with syrup. I didn't but I have to say it is really good. All our kids eat PB on pancakes now and most of the grandbabies do to. I just love your Asian noodle dishes. Mine never seem to turn out as good as yours do. Got to work on that, because I swear I could it every day LOL.
Hello there friend! You know how baking soda and vinegar reacts together and creates an explosion or lots of bubbles? This is what baking powder technically does, so instead we use the combination and it works perfectly! It makes cakes and pancakes rise nicely without the need for baking powder. Try it and let us know what you think! Also on the noodles, a simple combo of sesame oil, coconut aminos or soy sauce or vegan oyster sauce will do wonders! Prepare it with garlic, onions and ginger, everything you make will taste Asian!
@@thehaipath one more question. How much of the vinegar and baking soda do you use in replacement of the baking powder? I looked online some but can't really find any amounts. I'm not a recipe specific kind of baker, but I also don't want to waste my baking by adding too little or too much.
For us, since we’re a large family in our pancakes I use about 2 tbsp vinegar to 1 or 1 1/2 tsp baking soda Same goes for any cakes or muffins I make. I eye ball it most the time so it’s very forgiving!

I bet those noodles are delicious cold😊
They actually aren’t bad! If I’m hungry enough I’d eat it without any heating haha!
