This is a very basic overview of how to get started with 5-point perspective by making a grid and plugging in details. #perspective #fisheyedrawing #wideangledrawing #povdrawing #paulheaston
i saw this guy's art on pinterest and was super fascinated on how to draw like him, so i searched up how to draw in a 5-point perspective and low and behold, the man himself!
How do you work out how to draw lines that don’t exactly fall on the grid, like if I were to draw a roof which is diagonally slanted, I obviously can’t just follow any of the curves or the lines radiating from the center.
This is such a good question and I plan to do a detailed video on how to deal with these problems soon. Basically, when I’m eyeballing it like this I try to imagine the angled or diagonal surface within a box on the grid. That way I can visualize where it meets the ground plane and where the diagonal is headed in the background, and draw a gently curved line that connects those points.
Yes, this is the only part I don’t understand. This works fine if everything is facing you directly, but if an object is rotated in relation to you then you can’t follow these guidelines…. @pheaston ?
After some thought on this - I think it's similar to 2pt perspective where the vanishing points will move along the eye level/horizon line. The converging lines will be curved. The curve is determined by the other vanishing point that is moving behind you (since each plane has a set of VP's).
I don’t get it, how do I know which of the five vanishing points the line will go to? What if my camera isn’t in the centre - ie - what if I want to draw a sparsely populated corridor at a Dutch angle in fisheye?
No its called fov pov means point of view meaning that you see the visuals from something fov means field of view meaning that you visualize ur surroundings Edit: sorry if iwas kinda nerdy there
It's like my brain grew an extra wrinkle I feel so knowledgable now.
😂😂 👏
i love this comment
Same bro when he starting drawing the details I felt something click in my head
😂👍same
Bro..this man covered a college semester worth of info in so few words, every one hit🔥
college is more like:
watch these youtube videos to learn perspective. I can't teach.
@@spractive1264 and then the teacher either makes the best work of art you’ve ever seen, or it’s ass, no in between
Dude, my brain just absorbed every bit of info from this 1 min long vid than a whole week of trying to learn this from our instructor 👏
straight to the point and very understandable, thank you!
This genuinely helped. Thank you.
This is amazing. I can’t believe this is only 1 minute long and I feel like I’ve learnt so much from it. Truly invaluable. Thank you so much!

such a clear and concise video, thank you for that
Great. Very Informative. Thank You for taking the time to make this video.
That's so beautiful
Thanks very very much for this video!!
Wow, this literally just changed my perspective on how to go about this.
No pun intended
I can understand everything of panorama in 1 minute, thank you very much 😮
What an amazing tutorial!
Thank you for making this video. It is really helpful for an amateur like me
bro is just the best thank you for this amazing vid for a 1 min vid
I LOVE YOU OMG I LOVE YOUR DRAWINGS
THANK YOU FOR THIS. i wasn't sure how to draw the perspective for an animation im working on!
that was all I needed!! ! Obrigado amigo. você é um amigo.
Thank you! This was very helpful.

Bros better than my senior teacher at teaching😃
I had that face and emotion of danny devito going "I get it" after watching this
cool man
But what if I wanted to draw something in bird eye view or worm view? Do I change place the horizon line higher or lower and it will still work?
How do you rotate in local rotation of an object like cube inside 5 point perspective?

COULD NOT BE MORE EF-FI-CI-ENT!

😮❤❤❤
I feel... Wow
Whoa that’s cool! Do you still start your pov sketches like that?
the comment about strictly using the lines for direction and not for measuring was IT
wtf that surprising was easily understandable
I just couldn't wrap my head around this before, but thanks, this really helped, I'll practice with some cubes and skeletons
Opened my 3rd eye
why did this make 5 point 100 times easier then any other video
I feel like grogu meditating on a rock
Ate
ummmm, twitch channel link please, good shit
Dang, I might have to start one
i love you.
first we draw a circle and then add small details
small details: ✨ 01:06 ✨
Bro. This.
One point 2 point perspective
I think its called POV!
No its called fov

fov means field of view meaning that you visualize ur surroundings
Edit: sorry if iwas kinda nerdy there
I feel even more stupid than i felt b4
-sobs in latin-
This is what clickteam did on fnac r
When you already drew the character but need to draw the guidelines: well… that’s unfortunate…
JESUS LOVES YOU ALL ❤
