I just wanted to say congratulations with your 1 million viewers. That's brilliant, and very well deserved. Your videos are so important to keeping us (more elderly) people active, fit and able to live a healthier lifestyle and feel better about our advanced years!! Kudos, many thanks (and SO proud that you are from Farnham! Where I was born!!) xxx
56 year old woman here. I work at a desk 10 hours a day. Right before lockdown I had lost a lot of weight and was feeling and looking good. I was walking 3 miles a day and feeling happy. Then, 7 months of lockdown all alone, stress and fear, and carb/sugar emotional eating caused me to gain the weight back. Then menopause hit. I lost all the muscles in my arms and now they are flabby. I won’t wear short sleeves anymore. I’m so glad you posted this. The only “problem” I have is the bicep curl where you bring your arm in front of your body. Being rather big chested, things are in the way.😂 the wall press is great. I could feel that right away. Thank you!
You can always modify your angle with curls- (by rotating your elbows outward). To isolate it with a variation you can use the back of a chair to prop your elbow (maybe using a pillow inbetween to not pinch your triceps)
I hear you on not wearing short sleeves. I tell my friends I'm going to have plastic surgery. I'm going to have those flaps sewn to my sides so I can jump off high places like they do in those winged suits. That was NOT what they expected me to say. lol
I'm a fit healthy and active male over 60 though ageing is catching up with all of us. I don't believe in visiting doctors, medication or putting our feet up. "Life is motion" and "I'm my own doctor" are two of my guiding principles. It should be no surprise that I'm a fan of this channel for learning, for better understanding of issues and problems ahead and for reassurance. A week or two ago there was a video on triceps. I gave it a shot and found it so painful as even 6kg weight was a struggle and brought me painful stiffness over the following days. Talking with a few personal trainers why I am so weak in this area, they admitted many if not most people neglect their triceps. So I'm now on a mission to correct that and this video is of great interest. Thank you Will. I follow your recommended exercises at home and have a wide range of equipment to supplement them at the gym. The stiffness is giving way to firmness and growth even after such a short time - it's because of focus and targeted exercises. I wanted to share my story and thank you for the excellent work you're doing on this channel to raise the issues and awareness of us over 50s and 60s mortals. I also have a suggestion: is it possible to give each video a reference number to aid looking back and easily finding the videos and exercises of particular relevance?
Hi Will. I stopped what I was doing so I could do these exercises along with the video. I did 3 sets of 15 of each. My arms are pleasantly worked and have a nice buzz. I'm excited to keep doing them as I'm shocked at how fast I'm losing strength and muscle mass recently. I just turned 59 and can see I'm going to have to prioritize gaining muscle and strength. I preordered your book and just received it. The first thing I've started is the cold therapy. It's so energizing and I think I will be able to work up to 5 minutes. The thing I want to thank you most for is giving me hope that I can age well. I've been spinning my wheels with exercise lately. I get started and get into a routine and next thing I know my shoulder, my back, or my knee will start hurting. I just can't do what I've always done to stay fit. Now I have a trusty guide to help me through these aches and back into fitness. Thank you so so much!
I'm so pleased to hear you've already been putting this to good use! Thank you so much for ordering my book, it's amazing to hear you're already experiencing the benefits of my tips. Hope truly is the greatest motivator, and consistency is the key to seeing results. I hope my book can offer advice to help you set in motion a consistent, and enjoyable, routine!
I am obese and I am struggling to keep up with the exercises. It's wonderful that you take special interest in assisting us to stay active. I work 8 -4 and I'm so tired when I get home but I thank you and iam trying to keep up. THANKS AGAIN ❤
This is great, I made pictures of the printed instructions. Also, I received my copy of your new book on October 1 and it is fantastic. It represents an overwhelming amount of work! Thank You.
Thanks so much! I'm 52 and am more active now than I have been in 20yrs. The body definitely lets me know that what it wants to do at 50 is not what it enjoyed doing 20yrs ago😅 I very much enjoy your videos, especially when the "before" needs to be modified. I downloaded the free video and am headed over to watch it now! Thank you for sharing your knowledge!

Thanks for this Will. Im trying to come back from 6 months of chemo and intermittent steroids and have lost so much strength and condition. Even sit-to-stand is hard some days and the stairs are a challenge. I need to trawl through your 'back catalogue' and put 3-4 exercises together
I'm sorry to hear about the strength you've lost during this difficult time. I hope my videos can offer some helpful tips to support you in your strength rebuilding journey! I'm wishing you all the very best ☺
Will thank you so much for the exercises you provide for my age (I’m 76!) They are quite easy to do and really work! I try and do some every day. The leg exercises really help with my walking. Now the arm exercises I am going to start and hopefully see and feel the difference. Again big thank you.
I love this! I need to regain forearm and grip strength. I've made great strides in bouncing back, at age 73, from lockdown and essentially 3 yrs lack of muscle workouts, but forearms and grip, are where I lost a lot, and need to work harder on! Thanks, Will! It's as if you read our minds,!

Whilst waiting for a vid from Will, owing to a recent wrist fracture I've been receiving invaluable advice and exercises from a woman called Michelle on YT. Her channel is called ' Virtual Hand Care'. She has helped me much more than my in-person physio.
Wonderful video.A timely help. I got m right arm injured recently.X ray revealed there is no fracture but hurt was severe in my lower arm. I was in sling for the past 10 days and took medicines for pain for 5 days. There was blood clot and now subsided I couldn't bring my arm down to full length and very difficult to do exercises like isolation curl, like 1...2 up and 123 down. The practitioner advised me to do isolation culr with bottle.but seems to be difficult . My wrist fingers are fine.
Thank you so much for your kind gift, that is more than generous and there is really no need! I really appreciate your viewership and you taking the time to comment - you have my sincere thanks!

64 come Nov., my daughter lands close to here today with her Bordeux Prince, could pick-em up, naw, here we say you've a BMW (bus/metro/walk) you should let people know using a walker is very difficult thus why it looks as such!
So, to boil this all down- it's called *resistance training* . And it's been around since the beginning of the concept of *exercise* . If pushing away from a wall is the only way you can do a *pushup* - then you're not strong enough to do even one regular, normal pushup. So this push-away-from-the-wall exercise is for you, because you're REALLY weak, and you really *should* be doing something about it.
I've never been able to do pushups... lack of flexibility in my wrists, back problems, and weak arms. Tried gyms. Never worked for me. I was the skiniest kid in the school. Genetics, I'm guessing. My father was the same. Tried doing some arm strengthening excerices a few days ago and pulled a muscle in my right shoulder.

I'm 23 and can i do this for building strength in my arms, cause I'm so weak?
Do you have a modification for people with arthritic knuckles?

Do this daily? Or how many times a week?

I do these exercises every second day, so as to let my muscles have time to do some repair in case I’ve done a bit too much

What weight the dombells should be?
You said to keep your feet flat on the wall press exercise however yours are not flat.
