Honestly with the exception of the ex-gurlfriend, all of the drama was the MC's fault. -Friends tease each other, this is pretty normal behaviour. The kouhai had no reason to think she was actually hurting his feelings because he never told her. If he would've just spoken up in the first place, the entire situation would've been avoided - he went to a maid cafe, specifically requested a maid that is known for being "sadistic", the maid had every reason to think he's in on the joke. If he didn't want to be a part of it, all he had to say was "hey Im not really into that, my buddy wanted to try it out" and she would've left him alone Ironically, the MC and his ex are pretty similiar, both did not communicate their feelings and then hurt the other person as "revenge" for something that person did not even know they were doing

Honestly with the exception of the ex-gurlfriend, all of the drama was the MC's fault.
-Friends tease each other, this is pretty normal behaviour. The kouhai had no reason to think she was actually hurting his feelings because he never told her. If he would've just spoken up in the first place, the entire situation would've been avoided
- he went to a maid cafe, specifically requested a maid that is known for being "sadistic", the maid had every reason to think he's in on the joke. If he didn't want to be a part of it, all he had to say was "hey Im not really into that, my buddy wanted to try it out" and she would've left him alone
Ironically, the MC and his ex are pretty similiar, both did not communicate their feelings and then hurt the other person as "revenge" for something that person did not even know they were doing
1. His reactions to the kouhai's taunting should have given her a clue. And it isn't really playful banter between friends when you constantly call out their character flaws.
2. He met her before she changed her persona. He was a fan of her timid persona, not whatever she was doing now. And having the same shit thrown at him in a maid café as he receives from the others around him all the time blurst the line of fiction and reality.
3. The girlfriend is the worst one. She was fully aware he's timid and has a hard time saying no, even believing he never liked her in the first place. So her solution was to fake a break-up. What would make anyone think that would fix anything? A suggestion to take more initiative would have probably worked out better and even answered her doubts about if he cares for her as well.

2. She couldn't know that unless he told her. If he simply said "Im not into the degrading, could you keep me out of it?" She never would have treated him like that in the first place

I agree the ex is a toxic moron and she got what was coming to her-- with that being said he was still a bad boyfriend because regardless of being in the wrong, the ex still felt as if he didn't care for her, which shows a lack of effort/communication on his part. She even said he never initiates contact with her-- she is always the one messaging him first.
