Great videos man keep them coming very informative. Crazy how easy you make this thing look lol I know first hand this is not a easy task cause I tried and took me hours just to do hood and mirror caps on my 335i but then again I used ebay vinyl cause I didn’t want to pay a lot of money and mess up doing it myself so I when cheap and got it done but definitely a pain because it’s to sticky need to try the brands you use for I can make it a lot easier on myself.

Awesome, this is why I ever got on youtube to begin with…so helpful! I would try it but not with a shark fin antenna and sunroof…I think I will let the professionals do their work. The issue, locally they want to drop the headliner and I prefer not to do that.
I'm not short at 5'11", but not 6'3" either; so, I use at step bench I walk on to do a roof, as it makes it just a little easier. So wish was 6'3"!😊
Hey Chris, Can you do a video of the spoiler wrap? Im about to do this to my civic and was thinking...."inlay" the bottom of the spoiler and then wrap the top?
I have the mk6 Jetta Sportwagen and want to know if you could wrap the roof around the glass and the roof racks. Would it be absolutely necessary to remove roof racks before wrapping, or are in/overlays good enough. Appreciate your channel!

I have a quick question. I installed Avery gloss black on my roof today. It looks pretty good for a first timer. But I noticed that when I push down on the vinyl with my finger, a texture appears on the vinyl. It almost looks like little dots. Heating it up does not get rid of them either. Is this a characteristic of the vinyl or did I mess up? I clayed the roof and wiped it with isopropyl alcohol before install. Thank you very much!

Most don't have adhesive. BMW's have adhesive but not many other makes have it

I've been wanting to get this done on my car for a while but what do you suggest is the best way to maintain the vinyl? Because I've seen some cars with faded , almost gray looking roof vinyl wrap and it doesn't look pretty lol or does brand and material matter ? If so, what is the brand you recommend?
I recommend using Avery. All vinyl will begin to fade around 4 or 5 years on a horizontal surface. Sometimes it'll even fade around 2-3 years. Depends on the climate

I tried wrapping my roof today and failed miserably. I realized it wasnt my technique but mainly the fact that I left the vinyl roll in my car for 2 nights in the freezing cold. We couldnt stretch it or lift it and it cracked in all directions. I was using 3M gloss black

Yeah that 3M cracks when cold. Been there and done that myself.

Im going to vinyl wrap my roof and was able to get the shark fin antenna off but there’s 2 wires attached to the circuit board underside. I can only follow the wires so far back under the headliner and don’t really wanna pull the headliner down.
Is it possible to cut a slit and pull over the shark fin antenna and tuck around the seal, cut to clean, instead of removing?
Yes it is possible. The wires on the other hand run down the side and stop right where the seatbelt is clipped through the plastic trim on the side of the seat. You need to pull the plastic trim off to access them. There is only one screw which is located on the piece that holds the trunk cover in place. Everything else is just clips

Oh, I'm not sure then. I was referring to the newer Honda Civic. The plugs for the wires should be visible under the headliner on the Benz. Sometimes they even unplug directly from the shark fin itself
