325i as well I own 1 an I have mine sitting on B14 Bilstein coil over some Motegi wheels with muffler delete an resonator soon to remove the secondary cats and put vibrant resonator on top of a lot of maintenance work done an more to come an although as he said there not the fastest car to drive there really enjoyable especially high speeds on sharp corners in the hills an them tunnel pulls or long highway drives just sooth the soul 😮💨☺️ just hearing that exhaust then randomly gassing it sheesh I can’t complain

The impressive thing is the N51 with the 3 stage manifold. The car has guts. It is really the ultimate driving machine. And the connection between car an driver you won't feel anywhere else anymore , other than a million dollars supercar, that is the 2010 that I have with m sport package. Just incredible never owned such a car with this driving experience like this one, love it.

Either way, I'm sure that there are certain jobs that are quite impossible to handle by yourself, pretty much anything that requires the engine to be removed or any sophisticated job like a serious transmission service. I've been a big fan of E90's and E60's for too long :D wanted to get one so badly but it's just too expensive for me. No doubt that the car in the video is one of the best sounding N52 engines I've ever heard, just beautiful man! BTW, I'm not from the US, but California looks so beautiful and dreamy!

Of course there are some little things that can pull your hair out, but nothing anyone who knows can't do themselves with the right tools. Had to learn some small things but all and all the tech is going to be the same principle, with the use of computers or decent scan tools for that vehicle of course. The rest is a feeling to do everything yourself..and much,much, cheaper. Remember the mechanics charge for the (parts) and (labor) and that is what drives people away, not to mention the extra needed maintenance and time for exotic luxury cars. It's not like it use to be..! Now and days out of this world $$$. Anyway good luck, hope you find a project car, or Bimmer to start wrenching on...!!
I have a 335i convertible and the convertible broke and now it just chimes every time I drive it, and I know I can’t afford to get it fix so I have to leave it like that for now 😢

I’ve had my e92 328xi for over 7 years, and it’s in my opinion one of the best value for the money if you’re looking for something sporty, German, fairly practical for a coupe, reliable, easy to work on, and it’s got great comfort features and styling especially for its age. The only bad thing about mine… is that I’m going to have to list it for sale within a week since we need something bigger like an SUV 😢. I’m definitely going to miss mine… I remember watching one of your videos before I bought my BMW(I think you had a black 335i in black) when I was doing research on e92 cars. It was very useful. Ive driven many cars but something about late 2000s 6 cylinder NA cars (BMW, Nissan, Infiniti, Lexus) always gets me. Such a happy medium! Cars were really simple at the time too! Newer cars all lack that analog feel unfortunately E9X are slept on for sure.
bruh, the 328i E92 coupe 6MT is a gem; it gets overshadow by the 335i and the M3. With the right mods, the 328i can be an excellent daily and fun drive to car. Mine is a 328i coupe, 6MT, FBO SUPERCHARGED with a limited slipped differential. I'm pushing more power than an M3 with more reliability. Only issues: common BMW (i.e. oil leaks) and other periodic maintenance maintenance that normal cars have. Trust me, I had a 335 FBO, and it was always something breaking. I even smoke n54 450hp fools because my car is light asf too. This is where all the 335i fools get it all wrong.
My 200whp Miata is faster than my fbo 328i on a straight. Don’t get me wrong, but a 328i is nowhere near close to a m3 in terms of any cornering ability. Its decently fast and is perfect for a daily driver

i bought a 2010 328 x drive with a 6 speed, single hump and sport interior last year and the thing actually feels like such a composed mature car. She drives great right out the box, is kind to my wallet (so long as you take care of the weak points to the engine) and is a bang for your buck modern bmw. I’ve got it on some D Force LTW5s and waiting on bilstein suspension. love my car
Great vid! My experience with my 330i convertible automatic is also absolutely wonderful, a hugely enjoyable top-down mountain roads cruiser! Having driven all the installments of the e90s' 330i, I am really quite surprised at how different they are to eachother - for example, e90 and e91 feels sturdy, planted and somehow trustworthy; e92 feels like a focused, responsive and agile sports car, while the e93 feels like a pint-sized grand tourer - softer and more comfortable, but still provides ample feedback and quick pace.

Wow you got at least $+5k discount on that example. Easily $+12k with the manual none gps sought after version of e90/92 . As you seen on my picture I own one since 2008 and the steering feel match with manual transmission on a sports trim getting harder to find.

@@e92cruz_ I did, I still need to make a follow up video but the car has changed dramatically since I reviewed it. Went with a tune from a company called Chaos Calibrations. No issues so far, and have tracked the car twice now.
I'm currently building up a 328xi e92 n51 sulev. My question is did you have any complications with the catles headers. I've put a decent amount into it already. So I have a lot of things to go over if interested
Hmmm. Sounds like your hydraulic lifters might need more oil. This can simply be solved by driving the car a little bit more and longer distances. Especially if you live in the cold, or only use the car for short drives. I got in the habit of letting the car fully warm before driving at all. Not time efficient in a hurry, but your car will love you for it 👍 Good luck!
I have a friend who has a 2009 328i. He got car from his dad at 60k. His dad purchased It new. It has 130k now. He said he would sale it to me when it has 145 to 150k for about 5k. It has a 6 speed stick shift like yours. He said it was a 4 cylinder turbo. Did they make the 09 328i with a 4 cylinder? It is well maintained. I am a former Saab guy...i do not know a lot about bimmers. Thanks for the video...

@@captainmorgan5449 nice. i have an N51. that car might be out of the threshold but n51 cars came with emissions warranties for 15 years so you could get free work done on certain parts at bmw dealerships under that clause. Great engine and it came with a stage 3 manifold which regular n52s beside the 330 did not. You could get a different tune for the car without doing anything and unlock a good amount of horsepower
@@kaidenbmw I guess, it's just so basic and boring. I'd rather throw a big turbo on a N54 and have fun with it until it blows then have to put around town in a 328i. I'd recommend this car to my grandmother or my aunt

I had the E30 and E39. You can't go wrong. I prefer e30 first, e90 second, e39 third. I'm getting an e90 328i 6sp.next. Maybe a sedan or wagon.

It was an OEM BMW Performance Muffler with a Vibrant Ultra Quiet Resonator, no secondary cats, & catless headers.
