I am looking into a 328 as a realiable daily driver that can be fun to drive and eat up the highway for long road trips.

Very strong and smooth engine but man after 80k you will start getting coolant leak after coolant leak ( ask me how I know ).. Oil filter Housing ( $2000 to fix ) / Heater Control Valve ( another $1000+ to fix )... It is a great motor but BMW fix your freaking coolant systems, Havent you learned yet? Nobody should have to spend over $4000 on a car under 80k miles and 5 years old because of plastic coolant parts all over that crack and leak.. This affects all B48s and lots of B58's after 75k miles. Thats my only complaint, it makes great power and revs nicely.

I love my 2016 and the recaro seats just add to it. All around very pleased also nobody expects the car to be fast so its quite the sleeper.

I have a 2024 530i msport B48 2.0 Turbo G60... i can't find anything for it. Not even simple mods like catch can, performance engine air filter, nor complete intake system, and that's just basic stuff forget a tune, exhaust etc... I called Dinan and asked when they expected to have anything. The guy / dinan rep. reply was. You know the 5 series is not exactly a car people modify. I said we'll i know plenty, maybe not with your company, i guess, and the engine is in all platforms forms across the board, including the BMW Flagship 7 series."... The Rep said my car was diffrent, and they would have to make a duffrent hose for thierbintake box. I've called and searched Kies, Burger motor sports etc.. no one has anything. I'm very disappointed about this. I have always had catch cans in all my cars for the last 10 years plus approx. Downpipe would be nice and intake fir a start. A mild tune i can wait till the warrenty period is done... Comming from a back round mostly of American cars where no one looks down on you if you have an ecoboost or a sedan. I find the German market to be a bit picky and snobby. None of this has a reflexion on your channel or videos, I'm talking about the after market performance companies.

Audi A4's 2.0L EA888 is better. For tuners, the lower compression is less prone to KNOCK and can be tuned to nearly 400hp with stock turbo. That engine has been proven highly reliable too.

The BMW Supra has B48 as well as B58 I think they both very nice.

On GT7, the Trans is the best thing about this car ...very responsive.

The 10th anniversary came out only in 2019 gsf and rcf.

Keep in mind that you need to remove the injectors to remove the valve cover, it's a horrible design.

Its a great engine but the problem is plastic valve cover, plastic air/water intercooler, plastic oil cooler and a stupid plastic ball valve thermostat module. All this with the other plastic parts like the coolant overfill, plastic end caps on radiator, plastic water outlets. Theres probably more.

If BMW won't help Toyota, I'm sure Mazda would gladly try to.

It was summer 2016 that the 228i with the N20 engine stopped being manufactured and the 230i with B48 started. I know because I was going to order a 228i and ended up ordering my 230i.

did you & many other failed to use the cellphone to record all those repairs? would be nice if you can share the repairs, rather than doing silly showoff brochure videos.

So I was looking at getting a Z4. I took the B48 version out for a spirited drive. I was really impressed. Then I made a mistake and took out the B58. Honestly the 48 was just fine in that car. You could use the engine without going to jail.

Audi's longitudinal EA888 has been around even longer and is fantastic 2.0T engine.

K20C6 is an underrated engine.

I mean it's okay. But it's not as good as the ea888.3/4. This b48 engine is not as reliable as the VW engine and costs more to maintain and repair. The king of 4 cylinder engines is the MB cla amg45 engine

A really nice engine...Have it in my BMW 128ti 265BHP and 400nm, more than quick, great auto box which was a surprise..and such a nice interior,,,having a lot of fun with this car.

Is it true that N52 engine has been upgraded in 2009 and there is no problem with crankshaft?

I have two 2004 Boxsters, a base manual, and an 'S' 50th anniversary Spyder with a manual. The base has 228 HP and the "S' has 264. The 'S' is substantially quicker, but both are fantastic drives. One benefit of he base is it's a 100 pounds lighter, and I could actually feel the difference going back to back. Whatever one you purchase, you'll have a great time. Enjoyed the video.
