The Best Mix of Fun and Practical for the Money, the 2007 BMW 328i (A Doug-Style Homage)

- I filmed this video back in the summer of 2021, still in the heat of the pandemic and shortly after deciding that I would be taking a job that would move me away from the San Diego are after college. At that moment I was jobless, graduated from college, had no girlfriend to keep me busy, and knew that I had to take advantage of these last moments of my time in the beautiful San Diego area, like meeting Doug DeMuro (which I did end up doing later in the summer after filming this video on the day he filmed the Hyundai Santa Cruz video) and filming a video in Doug's style of my own car. The keen-eyed among you will notice that this is not only filmed in the same style that Doug himself likes to use, but it was also filmed in one of his favorite filming locations in the San Diego area. Just knowing that Easter Egg myself made this video a lot of fun and very rewarding to make, since I really got to pretend to be Doug for a bit.
I knew Doug would not review my car himself, since Doug is the type of guy to only review cars that are unmodified and the top of the model range (in the most desirable body style for the era which in this case was almost certainly the saloon). However, the only thing this era of BMW needed was the manual transmission to be worthy of review, since these represented an enormous amount of fun and decent reliability and practicality for the money. For those living in areas with some seasons and weather there were cars of this model with 4-wheel-drive, in all but the hardtop convertible. With 4 different body styles, there was a lot to choose from, including the coupe, hardtop convertible, sedan, and wagon/saloon.
I personally love having the coupe, since I like subverting expectations and doing far more than I ought to be able to, armed with nothing but a 2-door car and roof racks. I also prefer having the possibility of kicking the rear wheels loose with rear wheel drive, even though now living in WA it would sometimes be nice to have an X-Drive model. Snow is what chains are for, right? Who needs 4-wheel drive...
If Doug were to review one of these cars I would think it would be: the e93 (wagon) body, low miles, manual transmission, X-Drive, iDrive, sport/premium/cold weather/lighting/performance/comfort assist packages, and probably still the naturally aspirated inline 6 (since the turbo offered a lot more power but not the classic BMW powertrain and slightly better reliability that the N52 offered). If you have such a car, definitely contact me and I might make an offer. Also contact Doug and hopefully he would consider reviewing it!

This entire video was basically for me and secondarily a plug for Doug DeMuro. If you read the description you'd have the full context.

From above: "This entire video was basically for me and secondarily a plug for Doug DeMuro. If you read the description you'd have the full context."
Do whatever you want ! This was a great video . These people are bored and misreable. If anythang this was a tribute to Doug. People always find ways to complain about something
