  • Palladiums Pallabrouse Baggy are perfect hiking shoes fore category "A". They are lightweight, very confertable and look good.
    I will give some details about the shoes than testing. At the end my final thought and the pro's and con's.
    Enjoy!

    Great review
    I like the design so much as it is a little tactical but not too much and stylish in the same time. Also I like the canvas not the leather version.I think I am gonna order a pair. Thanks for your review

    These are great for hiking in a park maybe. Palladium is just a fashion boot these days. They are HORRIBLE for real hiking. I used to hike in these in Bieszczady mountains with a heavy ruck and they ruined my knees. The sole is very very soft and it wears extremely fast. After 20 km on the trail you can't feel your feet in this boots. I've put a Polish Army anti-sweat plastic mesh insole to make the sole slightly harder to save my feet. The stitching is bad. Good luck walking early morning through the grass in the valley - your feet are wet at the start of the day after 15 meters. If you get these wet crossing a stream they will kill your feet even more because there are no drain holes so your feet are swimming inside the boot. Also these are very expensive. You can buy a cheap hiking boot for the price and it will be a much better choice. Honestly these are just overpriced 1940's - 1950's french indochina style jungle boots made with shitty materials for big city people trying to feel outdoorsy walking their dog.

      I agree with you, they are not good for hiking with a heavy load. I only use them for day hikes with minimal gear. And it depends on your feet and physic. Some people can were them everywhere with have load, most can not. And they do ware out fast. But for me they last at least a few years and for the price I think they are pretty comfortable for what I use them for.
      Enjoy the outdoors.

      They are alright for light day hiking (10km-15km) in spring and summer if you put an insole in them and don’t have heavy ruck. As for them being like 1950s Indochina boots… well, palladium actually produced those 1950s boots used in Indochina by the French legion lol.

      I think they are the best for everyday use, they are not sold for people who want to climb the Hymalaya.

    I think lots of new canvas boots buyer don't know that the Palladium nowaday is pretty much different form what they had made up from 80s, 90s until 2000 or 2010. Not necessary for the pair made in France but some I saw made in the developing countries just within the same period but with the same quality. The older, the better. Lots of difference in details that I can't tell in short.

    I see the boots 8 year ago in the store glendale USA. Only the desing is very simple. Is very expensive in Mexico. What's the price actually in USA? Please!!! And watched the review. I liked!!!

      @@traveler5898 Meindl is een goede schoen maar te zwaar. Als militair kan ik u zeggen dat we daar op terug zijn gekomen. Het gewicht van de schoen is te zwaar en tegenwoordig zijn er veel lichtere schoenen die geen zware belasting vormen voor knieën en enkels.. Noorloos in Kaatsheuvel is helemaal gespecialiseerd hier in en wij militairen krijgen daar schoenen aangemeten op grond van de voetstand en lichaamsbouw en zelfs voor welk gebruik. Een infanterist heeft een andere schoen nodig dan een persoon welke bij de geneeskundige troepen zit. Niet goedkoop wel kwaliteit.

      yes, plenty for me. I have wide feet and they fit perfect. The Allstars are much narrower. I couldn't walk on those so I tried palladiums. Still use them today.

    Can you water proof them with wax and wear them in snow?

    • @traveler5898
      @traveler5898  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, wax works fine, it makes the canvas a little darker and waterproofs them for a while. In the snow could work but seems a bit too cold. Having said that, they couldn't be further away from their purpose. But with thick socks and a lot of wax you could do it I geuss.
