I wore some Palladiums in college, especially in the winter. Walked hundreds of miles in them, didn't take care of them, and they're still the most comfortable shoe I own.

I suppose they're boots, but the ones I had were the leather Pallabrousse baggy. Very good looking. I don't even always lace them. I once ran into a guy who was also wearing Palladiums and we had a whole conversation about them. They aren't super common to see, but they have the mark of good taste. the tread is in great shape still. Walking on rough concrete sidewalks for most of its life and it's still got plenty left to give.
This is my perspective on Palladium. Cool company history too. The French always have something a bit different to bring to the table. I like that 👍

I've worn these boots since i was 15 and I'm now into my 50s, I've just got the right feet for them, had a dozen pairs at least, don't stop making them!

Dear Palladium. You used to be my all time favorite boot company. They were *indestructible* . I wore them everywhere for almost a decade, and they're still holding strong. I don't know what happened, I don't know why it happened, but the quality of your boots suddenly slumped and they would fall apart within a year.
I pray to God you guys make your boots the way you once did. I miss the old _airplane tire_ rubber soles, and your thicker _leather upper_ so much. I can no longer afford to pay $160 for cheap soles and "genuine" leather. I really am actually sad that I can no longer buy a pair of your 8" Pampa boots and know that they wont die, ever.
Love, a loyal fan and customer😔

It’s even more sad knowing it’s because they switched manufacturing to Vietnam and China. The quality isn’t going to be as it once was. I rather buy an expensive product of great quality than a cheap product of mediocre quality. Hopefully Palladium realizes this value.

Thank you so much Palladium for PAMPA TRAVEL LITE DUSKY GREEN, a savvy canvas boot finally!
I don't like very much the rubber lacing in the back... it could be better a reversed elasticized pocket in the tongue like in Salomon, to fit in laces knots or the plastic buckle "tensor".
At least now we can get around a durable premium canvas boot for good seasons with a premium price. Interesting concept I also appreciated the removal of round label in favor of a printed logo and heel reinforcementd.
You are a fantastic firm Palladium because you listen ad at least sometime are so brave to innovate even overdone designs.
Now I have to spare some money to get my pair.

Yeah i know, if its made in France it would've been hella expensive. But i dont mind as long as itl last as long as it should

Barbour manufactures their main models in Europe. Sure they are expensive, but they will last you decades. Palladium could do the same. Their boots last a long time(for a shoe).

what I don't like about palladium shoes:
1 price too high for the product. Essentially you are paying for tons of marketing.
I use the product because the product serve my purposes. I never serve product marketing purposes.
2 Metal Eyelets they always get the canvas broken before the sole is slightly worn out. It is a manufacturing error. like for converse and all the other canvas shoes manufacturers. But at least it cost less produce like that.
    Suggestions:
A zig zag speedlace model using a canvas flat Lanyard/string embroided solidly with the upper toe. (get some inspiration from NIKE SFB, some inspiration only, because their string eyelet fold instead proceding all the boot long in zig zag mode...)
    Other Suggestions:
with the same zig zag pattern using a flat string (Perhaps paracord) as eyelets... make a useful all terrain sandal model really sturdy fast wet and fast dry with the classical Palladium sole protecting foot fingertips...
    Moreover...
What about a sole extending slightly a protecting heel in the back as you of course have a sole protecting the point with the toe "cap"...
You know over time the back canvas in the heel zone tend to collapse... of course with more sole wrapping the feet you get little less transpiration but I definitely will remove the round label in favor of some more sole protection at the back at heels.
