    This two part video just made my day! I had my mine lab equinox set up stolen from my vehicle a few months ago. I replaced it today on a spur of the moment purchase with a nearly new Nokta anfibio.
    Knowing just very little about the nokta impact but previously liking what saw on a review a few years ago I decided to go with the anfibio.
    I am currently waiting for it to charge while watching this...the first of the reviews I have watched.
    I can’t say how happy I am now after your review, and am
    Literally itching to to get out and see the sunrise on my local permission.

    Glad I found another channel to binge watch ! I was wanting a CTX 3030 but can’t really spend that kind of money til summer. I do want something to use thru the winter, was contemplating the Equinox but this Anfibio looks really impressive, built tough, and reasonably priced. I like the ability to tweak it 6 ways from Sunday like the V3i but that machine is not waterproof. GL&HH

    Great review! I tested the Nox and Anfibio and Multi Kruzer all at the same time. The Nokta machines are faster and air test with some mind boggling distances. The ground mineralization was the great equalizer though. The Anfibio air tests several inches more than a Equinox. In the ground where it matters, it was the opposite for me and by a great deal. It was a bummer. I liked everything about it better except the in ground performance. Your mileage may vary.

  • @nickhaas2407
    @nickhaas2407 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    At that new lower price, the Anfibio Multi is looking pretty good vs the ORX and Equinox. I would immediately put a screen shield on the Anfibio if I bought it. The coil selection is great too, and they are reasonably priced! Great job on the review! I would love to see the nail tests in the future done with an old "square" nail instead of a modern nail.

    • @thehuntergt
      @thehuntergt  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah it's pretty tough to beat for $764. I personally prefer it over the Nox and Deus both. Agree on the shield and mine is already on the way. Coming from FTP machines, it feels similar to me. Next time I dig a few squares I will hold onto them. The park I hunt has some fairly deep in the 10 inch range...rarely dig them though. My gold claim has hundreds of them scattered around at 1-2 inches.

    Hi there , another good review with good testing with quite impressive results , although in all fairness there are quite a few machines that would produce similar results , but at that price not to be sniffed at , nice one mate , ATB Rob .

    • @thehuntergt
      @thehuntergt  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Robbie! I agree 100% other machines can do similar. I have never considered the Anfibio or Equinox (or CTX3030 for that matter) some HUGE leap in performance. Can they produce results other detectors miss? Of course. Do they have all the bells and whistles? Yes obviously. That is why they are priced higher than most. While I do feel the Anfibio and Nox are top of the heap....if you were competent with most flagships of the last 20 years...they will not be some grand gift from heaven so to speak. ATB my friend.

    • @thehuntergt
      @thehuntergt  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks! While I do think the Nox is a top 5 detector, I agree 100% that it is overhyped, and I did not get along with it either. My tests all show the Anfibio separates better...is faster...and deeper. Also has a much less compressed ID range than I prefer. Nox is great...don't get me wrong...but not the HUGE leap many make it out to be. Etrac and CTX still king at Minelab.

    The manual says think of the high gain noise as coming from the air and not the ground. And the manual says the vibrate option will only vibrate over a target. So I'm wondering if you can hunt with high gain low disc in vibrate to get the extra depth without consistent vibration?

    • @thehuntergt
      @thehuntergt  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I doubt it. I have a feeling the vibrate function is limited on depth so that it can call the coins from the EMI...or high gain internal noise.
      If it was to vibrate on every EMI or static pop - fizzle - fart...it would vibrate non-stop when turned up to 99.
      I must be honest I have not tested the vibrate function much since I don't personally have a need for it...but I have a feeling it will be limited compared to audio.

    I think the anfibio is a solid detector , really well built. The only thing is i never have much of an idea if the target is likely to be trash or good , the noises coming from the anfibio the overall audio sounds muffled and squeaky and crackly.. I can't say i really like the anfibio audio...

    • @thehuntergt

      I definitely prefer the Anfibio to the Simplex....even with the update. But I cannot hate on another mans opinion. Simplex is the best price to performance detector on the market (in my opinion). Not sure what else they can cram into it for the price.

I came from v3i and f75 for years ... looking at this one hard or the orx deus... this one is heavier but I can get in the river with it ...but honestly only about 20 % of my hunting in the water.. my main reason for looking at anfibio is the vast coil selection... especially the concentric options in heavy iron... just wondering how you like it now that you've had it a while.

But the ergo is pretty decent. Not F75 ergo...but pretty good. Hits deep silver in some pretty nasty dirt. Silver the F75 and T2 cannot see. But for me personally...I love the 3 tone 89 gain fast mode. Park I hunt is shallow, mineralized, and trashy as hell...so it works wonders there.

    When you have only coins that are being tested, that’s not a recovery speed test. Recovery speed is in reference to how long the unit take to recover after passing over a piece of iron and respond to a coin or good target!

    • @thehuntergt
      @thehuntergt  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure where you got that from. Recovery speed is how long it takes for it to hit a target producing a tone or ID...reset...and hit the next target with a tone or ID. There is no rule stating recovery speed goes from ferrous to non-ferrous.

    • @ASPIRE7777
      @ASPIRE7777 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@thehuntergt you dont want recovery speed from one good target to the next, you want fast recovery speed from a bad target to a good 🎯. When you null out iron, the audio tone from the iron will be silent but the prosessor is still try to reset itself to hear the next good target. If the machine has real good recovery speed, you will be able to hear the good target while passing over it.

    • @Lucky2bGorgeous
      @Lucky2bGorgeous 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@thehuntergt I tend to agree with Coin Zapper. When a Junk Iron or Target is encountered, the detector's circuit rejects it (nulls) and a slow recovery will mask a good target generally speaking, in close proximity. The Test you are doing over the coins is merely a separation sweep speed test. Because your are so close to the 3 Targets you're getting 5 to 6 hits. Elevate that 11" Coil another inch or two and your just get the three responses. Trans Bay Metal Detectors, since 1983.

    • @thehuntergt
      @thehuntergt  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Lucky2bGorgeous I really don't care to argue semantics.. Recovery speed itself is not based on ferrous to non-ferrous switching. Just because you "want" a detector to behave a certain way does not change the base definition. Sweep speed is how fast you swing the coil - which is based off of recovery speed. Separation is how close the coins/trash are together...not recovery speed. Ferrous to non-ferrous switching...again...based on recovery speed. Just because a detector cannot handle a conductivity change does not mean the base definition is changed. Go watch a 101 video if you guys need an explanation.
